The Red King
Who: Mikoto + Open
What: Ra's Temple exploded, again. (3rd time!)
When: September 20
Where: Ra's Temple
Summary: Izumo is gone. Mikoto didn't take it well.
a. Amid the rubble lies the god of the sun burning brightly as his namesake. The flames have yet to die down and the black keeps spreading, but it's not blight that mars his skin as Mikoto struggles to get the red aura under control.
b. Mikoto sits amid the rubble looking exhausted as white flames burn brightly from the palm of his hands as the god heals the burn marks.
c. Healing is an exhausting task, if anyone approaches him after he's healed they'll find Mikoto trying to get up and failing. He's about ready to pass out.
d. Wildcard - Go wild. Make up your own scenario. Catch him at anytime before he passes out or after he wakes up! OTA!

His shoulders slouch forward and he drops down to sit on a pile of rubble. ]
No.
[ He was... grateful for it. ]

I'm used to fire, but that was certainly something else. [ He's still impressed by the show, and would love to know how it happened - was that fire a power this man came here with? Was this a god-power? Or else? Maybe he'll have a chance to ask about it later. ]
What brought that on?
no subject
A nightmare.

You look like you need a healer.

It's fine.
[ He drops his hand from his temple to focus on the burns spread across his skin looking like blight but with a red glow beneath the black. It's not blight. And even if it was, he could steal heal it. As if to lay weight to his words, Mikoto turns one of his hands upright and opens his palm as he calls on his god power. A white flame suddenly roars to life engulfing his hand. Unlike the red flames that embodied chaos and destruction, the white cleansing fire embodies the qualities directly opposite his own. It's soothing, calming and when he covers a burn mark with it, black begins to recede, healing the burnt skin beneath. ]

Flames that cleanse, flames that destroy... you've got a full set there.
[ Mikoto might not be the most chatty person Caster met, but that doesn't matter much. He can keep up the conversation by himself. Despite living in, well, Heavens, he hadn't seen fellow gods display much of their power. So of course, it is time for shameless magical inquiries, just because he can. ]
Say, do you happen to be a magus?
no subject
Are you?
[ Because he has no clue what he's talking about. ]
no subject
[ Or whatever else this flame power is. ]
It also kind of reminded me of something else that happened here before... [ He's not making any bets, but it's rare occurrence enough in the Heavens to see and feel such manifestation. Last time it happened, it included swords in the sky. ] So it can be seen as "professional curiosity."
no subject
There's nothing natural about it.
[ At least not for him, but then, aside from his clansmen, no one would ever accuse him of caring about anything other than fighting. But then, few knew how much he needed the distraction, needed a way to release the pressure that constantly built up inside him, needing release one or another. Fighting was that release. At least back in his world, here in the Heaven's he didn't have that option. And so...
Gold eyes stare at the rubble that was once his temple. He continues to heal to himself, the white flame draining his stamina the longer he kept it alight. He stays silent, Caster's words easy enough to decipher. He spoke little to begin with so he knew how to read between the lines. ]
If you're going to ask something, then ask it.

Some time ago, around this location - I think! - a giant sword showed up. [ Also a surge of power, and generally lot of weird stuff going on ]
You don’t happen to know anything about it?
[ He’s both curious about the working of such thing - someone capable of calling an inferno like this, could be capable of projecting a giant structure in the sky. No idea what for though - the swords didn’t seem to do anything, but then he wasn’t looking that closely at them. Ah, amistake. ]

Depends on the color.
[ Because he wasn't the only King here. ]
no subject
[ He's watching the healing performance with interest. Good thing this guy has this, because as a healer... let's say Caster is not best at it, even if there is a rune with healing properties. ]
Let me guess, it was the red one?
no subject
Could it be any other?]no subject
Blue is a nice color, he really likes blue, but it's deceiving - Caster's main element is still fire ]
What does it do? Aside from floating.
no subject
Nothing special.
[ It only gives him access to his full power, the kind of power that could set the world on fire. ]
no subject
Well at least you're going to be alright- [ Caster looks around the fiery ruins. There goes the roof over your head and comfortable living conditions. ] Hopefully, Heavens provide renovation teams for destroyed temples
no subject
[ Like the last two times. Due to his powers, his temple comes with it's only self-repair mode. It really comes in handy at times like these. ]
no subject
[ It would explain self-repairing temple. Not the best moment to sneak in a joke, but he can't help himself. ]
no subject
[ He's a god of the sun. ]
no subject
[ Surprisingly well in fact. ]
You know, the "sun dies for the night and gets reborn anew in the morning" metaphysical bullshit. [ Comes in package with being upgraded to a god. Well, he's not going to have much luck pulling information from this guy, so it better jumps straight to the business. ]
Anyway, what I wanted to say. I could put few wards around, to stop the spread of the fire outside the temple in case this happens again. [ How generous of him, is there a catch? ]
no subject
What kind of wards?
no subject
[ Into the temple. So the fire doesn't spread outside, as opposed to having few safe spots in the middle of an inferno.
It will work only once though. A fire will eventually use them up, and they'll need to be remade- omission of a detail ]
no subject
[ How much heat could they take? ]
no subject
Once. They will stop one blazing fire, then disappear, and will need to be rewritten again.
