Who: Shun and Izuku, Shun and Lavi
When: September 21st, September 23rd
Where: Fujisaki Corporation HQ, Far Shore Central District
What: Mission 27 and Mission 30
[Closed to Izuku]
[Texting Izuku takes Shun a lot longer than he expected it to.
Picking up his phone only to notice the god name of Aidos missing was one thing. Scrolling further down the list to find the name Midoriya Izuku in it instead was another one entirely, and Shun's thankful for at least the fact that his temple walls are sturdy enough to take a good hard punch.
Still, it's Izuku. Shun doubts he won't want to help, and it's not exactly something he needs Izuku to have knowledge of what happened for. Wording exactly how to call him out to the location makes up the rest of the far too long it takes him to compose the message, but eventually, he manages to put together something that doesn't sound too suspicious. Probably.]
I need someone to help with an investigation. There's a temple built in a hill in Central District - go there if you want to talk more about it.
--
[Closed to Lavi]
[There's a lot of people Shun imagines would have been only too ready to volunteer to find out what the hell was going on with that kid on the night of the moon viewing, but considering the white-robed shinki combing Central District, Shun needs someone who knows how to be discreet. Or at least how to talk to people better than he does. And thankfully, he knows at least one person who has the potential to be both.
After contacting Lavi about it, he waits for him on one of the large rocks on the outskirts of his temple grounds. One of the white-robed shinki passing by spares him a glance and seems to discount him as merely feeding the congregation of vultures around him before moving on.]

Lavi cups his chin in thought, though.] When they passed by your temple, did you manage to get any snippets of anything they've said? [Because it might help Lavi get a better understanding and how to word things better if he really would need to talk to those shinki.]
no subject
As for Lavi's question, Shun shrugs a little.] Mostly just the patrol schedule and that they're looking for someone. It hasn't sounded like they've had much luck or leads.
no subject
Somehow, I can't even bring myself to be surprised that they're not getting any luck with that sort of thing.
[After all, they did nothing help with the murderer situation, and weren't there still people searching for the ones responsible for setting Amaterasu's temple on fire?]
no subject
[But for the moment, Shun's going to focus on catching up to that shinki, because one way or another, they seem to be the closest source of information to chase first.]
no subject
[He keeps pace with Shun.]
calling this thread line 1 for npc talky purposes
Can I help you...?
[Shun's just going to nod to Lavi to take this one first. Might as well get off on the right foot, at least...]
no subject
[Lavi smiles at the shinki amiably.]
Would it be too much to ask just what has you on edge? [He keeps his voice diplomatic enough, friendly enough not to cause suspicion. Honestly, he isn't sure if he rather enjoys being the diplomat between the two, but Lavi can't argue.
Too late now since the shinki is addressing them, anyway.]
no subject
Shun, for his part, just glares back.] I've seen you all passing my temple enough times in the last few days that it's starting to look like trouble.
[The shinki bows somewhat apologetically.] Nothing to worry about, I assure you. We've just been told to look for someone.
no subject
Lavi shifts a bit, getting the shinki's attention.]
I mean no offense, but that does sound like something to worry about. You seem worried about it yourself, after all.
no subject
[Shun raises a brow at that.] Where did the orders come from?
[At that question, the shinki purses his lips, seeming reluctant to answer.]
no subject
He looks back at the shinki.]
It's fine if you don't tell us. However, given that this god currently resides in the same district as the old gods, would it be alright to learn more about this person you're supposed to be on the lookout for?
no subject
I'm afraid you'd have to ask someone else for that information. All I can say is that they're not supposed to be here, and we wouldn't be causing such an inconvenience if they weren't a potential risk to yourself and the other gods living in this area.
[Shun isn't particularly satisfied with the answer, but he doubts they're going to get any more out of this particular guy. Still, he can try to get a bit more of a lead.]
Then who should we be talking to for more information?
no subject
Is there someone in charge of the patrols you guys are on? An exemplar, perhaps, that we can talk to about this.
[Because even if this shinki is unwilling to talk, and chances of the exemplar most likely telling him to mind their own business, it'd be easier to talk to the exemplar, too.]
no subject
There's an older woman who's been on more patrols than any of the rest of us. She's not officially in charge, but we've been deferring to her for simple matters that don't need escalating. You could try asking her.
[It's a lead, but it's also not much of a description, and Shun glances at Lavi before looking back to the shinki.] We're going to need a little more on her than that.
no subject
[Because that is definitely something more specific than just pointing out how she's older.]
no subject
[It's not a very thorough description, but it's enough for Shun, who turns on his heel.] Might as well go talk to her now, then.
[What is politely leaving a conversation.]
no subject
[A wave and a smile before he turns to follow after Shun.]
