Just a shinki.
Who: Reisi and OPEN!
When: September 16 ~ September 30.
What: VARIOUS!
When: September 16 ~ September 30.
What: VARIOUS!
A) Shinki Training
[When left to his own devices, Reisi doesn't usually train on his own. However, he's been doing more shinki training like practicing and experimenting with borderlines. While he can perform them with natural ease, he recognizes there's potential beyond what he'd learned about them since his arrival. Unlike the blue aura and the Sword, Reisi cannot tap into that potential without first researching and experimenting with it. As such, he may check out Heaven's Library and other similar resources to learn about shinki abilities.
Meanwhile, at Nekhbet's Temple, others have expressed interest in training. Whether it be armed combat, hand-to-hand, or borderlines, Reisi won't go easy on you if you request him as a training/sparring partner.]
B) Hobbies: Tea Ceremony and Puzzles
[If you know Reisi well enough, you may have heard that his hobbies are tea ceremony and jigsaw puzzles. You may also have learned that he's willing to share these experiences not only at home but at other places as well. He has a portable tea ceremony set for performing it at other temples upon request or if given permission to do so. Similarly, he has boxes or bags of jigsaw puzzles to do at home or in other temples if anyone's willing to indulge him.
Want him to try out your hobbies, too? Well, you need but ask—Reisi typically is excited and interested in trying new things provided they don't disrupt peace and society.]
C) September 20: Broken Bonds
[Feeling Suoh's power surging more erratically than usual, Reisi wakes in the early morning even before Suoh's accidental network post. After that, there's no way he could return to sleep because not even he truly has that much control over himself.
He's caught between a rock and a hard place. He shouldn't have pushed Suoh away and cut him off as he had during the Harvest Moon, but it isn't right to defy his own god by becoming the very threat he protects society from. Yet if he hadn't cut himself off from Suoh, he might be able to help the other man bear this even a little bit. Even if there's someone else who could take Suoh on, he's inherently Reisi's responsibility.
That's why he feels the guilt that he does now that Suoh's powers are fluctuating. He feels the growing urge to monitor the other man's condition and respond to the threat he poses to others at this time. The knowledge that he's forbidden to do any such thing is painful, but Reisi stays himself and suppresses his emotions.
As such, he's somewhat distant and despondent for the rest of the day.]
D) Wildcard.

[He pulls the sword off his hip and presents it to Munakata.]
Do you know anything about this?
no subject
Ah, that sword bears a great semblance to the two currently in my room.
[Today, Reisi's wearing his civvies at home.]
What do you want to know?
no subject
no subject
[Granted, it's not as if Fushimi doesn't know that. Still, with a slightly amused smirk,]
Even if you'd tried to unsheathe it, you couldn't without my unlocking it.
no subject
[Figures. Fushimi gestures to his sword.]
Well? Would you?
[Look at that, he's using his words to ask for things.]
no subject
If that's truly what you want. After all, you've been quite hands off and head down about things from the past.
Might I ask when you obtained this sword? You didn't have to pull it from a stone, did you?
no subject
Tch, I woke up with it in my bed this morning. I don't think I have a choice about this.
[And, frankly, he likes you better than Mikoto by leaps and bounds so you were his first choice to come to about things from his life.]
It's stupid to get a weapon and not even try to use it in this place.
[Plus it looks like his weapon form, so.]
no subject
Indeed, weapons are made to be used. [Yet, Reisi has only ever used his own saber once since arriving at the Far Shore.] But what for?
[He casts Fushimi a deeply curious look.]
Why is it that you fight, Fushimi-kun? What, or who, do you wish to fight for?
[Your god? Others? Yourself?]
no subject
I barely remember my past and you're asking me what I fight for?
no subject
I'm asking about now. Surely you don't need knowledge of the past to choose a cause to fight for here and now.
[Reisi doesn't, at least. But not all shinki have nearly as clear a direction to take after arrival or establishment here.]
no subject
no subject
If everything is so meaningless to you, then so is my power.
[He dismisses the sword that Fushimi has presented to him.]
For the time being, it seems that you're not ready. When you know for certain who or what you can dedicate yourself to, I welcome your return.
no subject
What meaning am I supposed to find when I'm not given any choices? We're shinki. We don't even get a choice in who we serve, not unless we're lucky. How the hell am I supposed to find meaning in that?
no subject
[He's well aware of their circumstances and feels guilty enough for obeying his god's order to cease approaching and pursuing Suoh, but he nonetheless remains unmoved. Though because of Yata, he's also aware of Fushimi's mark, the one that ties him to Suoh, which could explain his reaction to some extent.]
You said it yourself—both of us are shinki. You chose to come here today despite our pasts being intertwined, and now you are requesting that I unlock the blade.
As a shinki, I don't know who I was in the past and have not had any recollections or revelations to that person thus far. I may not be able to stop any god seeking to misuse or abuse this power, but I know that I have the choices of unlocking this blade to grant my power to another shinki, or refusing to do so until given a clear purpose and reason for doing so.
That is where I stand, even if it incites your anger or perhaps even your hatred.
no subject
[Fushimi drops his sword with a clatter. There's a faint yet strangely potent sense of hurt that comes with Munakata's denial.]
You're all the same. You're not even a god, and yet you think you know better than everyone else. Or did you forget that we already share power?
[He flings two of his knives out of his sleeve and into the wall, coated in the blue aura.]
Your "noble" idea of not granting power to another shinki without reason went out the window the second that blue sword showed up in the skies.
no subject
Reisi's composure breaks, bitter disgust seeping into his expression as he raises his voice.]
And that is all the power someone as reckless as Suoh should have! You care for no one and nothing, you ask for power for what—the sake of having power, is that it? Then you'll retreat again into that small world of yours, shutting everything out because they have nothing to do with you!
[There really is no one else who understands this burden, is there?]
If that's worth anything to you, then take it and leave. Crawl back into the hole that you came from and pretend no one else exists.
[Even if Fushimi doesn't retrieve the sword, then Reisi will simply send it back to him somehow.]
no subject
You throw it around as an insult, but you're just proof that people aren't worth my time or concern. That I shouldn't bother. That I'm worth nothing to no one.
[Sword in hand, Fushimi turns to leave, one more remark to go.]
I left Suoh.
no subject
In a biting tone,] Excuse me for not simply forcing myself into your life. I thought you were worth enough to warrant respecting your boundaries and giving you whatever time and space necessary to consider approaching me.
[I left Suoh.
The words prompt familiar ones from Reisi's parting argument with Suoh.
Then run away, hide where I can't see you... Run away, Munakata.
The reminder causes a sting of painful loneliness, but it also takes away from Reisi's anger. He calms before continuing in a strict but fatherly manner.]
But if it's all the same to you, then so be it. I'd said I welcome your return should you find someone or something to dedicate yourself to, and that much still stands regardless of what you think of me.
no subject
[That's all Fushimi has to say. He grabs his knives from the wall and stalks out, slipping the daggers into their sheath before pulling out his phone.]
