Just a shinki.
Who: Reisi and OPEN!
When: September 16 ~ September 30.
What: VARIOUS!
When: September 16 ~ September 30.
What: VARIOUS!
A) Shinki Training
[When left to his own devices, Reisi doesn't usually train on his own. However, he's been doing more shinki training like practicing and experimenting with borderlines. While he can perform them with natural ease, he recognizes there's potential beyond what he'd learned about them since his arrival. Unlike the blue aura and the Sword, Reisi cannot tap into that potential without first researching and experimenting with it. As such, he may check out Heaven's Library and other similar resources to learn about shinki abilities.
Meanwhile, at Nekhbet's Temple, others have expressed interest in training. Whether it be armed combat, hand-to-hand, or borderlines, Reisi won't go easy on you if you request him as a training/sparring partner.]
B) Hobbies: Tea Ceremony and Puzzles
[If you know Reisi well enough, you may have heard that his hobbies are tea ceremony and jigsaw puzzles. You may also have learned that he's willing to share these experiences not only at home but at other places as well. He has a portable tea ceremony set for performing it at other temples upon request or if given permission to do so. Similarly, he has boxes or bags of jigsaw puzzles to do at home or in other temples if anyone's willing to indulge him.
Want him to try out your hobbies, too? Well, you need but ask—Reisi typically is excited and interested in trying new things provided they don't disrupt peace and society.]
C) September 20: Broken Bonds
[Feeling Suoh's power surging more erratically than usual, Reisi wakes in the early morning even before Suoh's accidental network post. After that, there's no way he could return to sleep because not even he truly has that much control over himself.
He's caught between a rock and a hard place. He shouldn't have pushed Suoh away and cut him off as he had during the Harvest Moon, but it isn't right to defy his own god by becoming the very threat he protects society from. Yet if he hadn't cut himself off from Suoh, he might be able to help the other man bear this even a little bit. Even if there's someone else who could take Suoh on, he's inherently Reisi's responsibility.
That's why he feels the guilt that he does now that Suoh's powers are fluctuating. He feels the growing urge to monitor the other man's condition and respond to the threat he poses to others at this time. The knowledge that he's forbidden to do any such thing is painful, but Reisi stays himself and suppresses his emotions.
As such, he's somewhat distant and despondent for the rest of the day.]
D) Wildcard.

Why do they make these things?
[ He's curious, but he also can't really understand the point. ]
no subject
He picks up the box that the puzzle originally came in, turning the picture on its face toward the other shinki.]
It's a way to pass the time, putting the pieces together to form this picture.
[This one has quite a few pieces, though.]
Do you want to give it a try? [Hmm, perhaps Eric doesn't know how this works. Maybe he doesn't even know where to start...] I can answer whatever questions you have.
no subject
All those...make this picture?
[ He puts his hand in the pile and fiddles around with them. They were light and colourful on one side. He pick one up and looked at it before looking back at the older man ]
Uhm...how...does it work?
no subject
First and foremost, it's not the sort of game where we have to take turns. Both of us are free to inspect whatever pieces we wish.
As you can see, part of the picture is printed on one side of each piece. The pieces are each unique shapes that only fit together in a certain way.
[He randomly selects two pieces and demonstrates how they don't fit.]
So the objective is to find pieces that correspond with each other and fit them together.
[Which can seem rather daunting at first, especially for people who aren't Reisi.]
Do you understand so far?
[It'd be good to know if Eric has drawn any conclusions about the activity as well, at least before giving him advice and techniques on how and where to start.]
no subject
At the question he nods his head. ]
Think so...
[ He grabs another and tries to put them together, but it doesn't work. He frowns. ]
They connect easily if they're suppose to?
no subject
Normally, he might choose now to show off, but that wouldn't give Eric the opportunity to really learn how to do puzzles and shine. So instead, Reisi opts to give him some hints.]
Although it would take far too long to try out each and every piece, there are other ways to narrow down which pieces might fit together.
First, you might want to start looking for and gathering all the pieces that form the edge of the picture. [Reisi scans the pile of pieces to pluck out a couple of those.] Because the image is rectangular, these pieces will always have one completely flat side.
[He shows Eric the pieces, running a finger down the flat edge of one of them.]
Once you have all these pieces, it's easier to narrow down which ones go together based on their colors. Feel free to try it out.
no subject
Ah...okay...
[ With that his eyes go to the pile, slowly picking out the edge pieces, sometimes studying the pieces if they might go together. After getting a good amount of them Eric pauses in his search, moving them around, a light frown on his face as he picks up two pieces. He's delicate and uncertain in his movements but, he puts the two together and they neatly click into place. He starts, looking at them to Reisi before showing him. ]
This ones right?
no subject
That's correct. Let's place them somewhere on the table for now—as we put it together, we won't be able to hold the whole picture in our hands.
[He waits for Eric to place what he has on the table before continuing.]
It also helps to look at the colors on the pieces. Usually, similar colors have a higher chance of going together. As before, the image on the box is our reference.
no subject
Similar colours...oh.
[ Understanding, he glances at the box's picture before looking at the pieces he put together. It looked like a part of the picture, none of the other edges seemed to have that colour. He pointed to it, circling his finger around the small area. His head tilts in thought. ]
So...build up from this part? Find all those kinds of colours?
no subject
[Noting Eric's reaction, Reisi decides not to go overboard complimenting him. After all, an overabundance of them would seem insincere, but it's important to praise one's good work.
Since this is all quite new to him, and Reisi doesn't want it to be too daunting,]
How about we split up the tasks? Would you like to gather the edges, or would you like to scour the pieces for the colors matching that section?
[That way, Eric won't have too much to focus on, and can simply take things step by step.]
no subject
[ The ones with the flat sides...which are far less of those. It seemed simple enough so he nods and starts to look for them. ]
I can do that.
[ He has the smallest frown on his face, determined to get all these pieces! ]
