Who: D2 & Forrest
When: September 16th
Where: Lakshmi's temple
What: Confronting your shinki about emotions.
[ Life (or afterlife) can be pretty eventful in the Far Shore but the other day beats everything, and not in a good way. Seeing somebody you care a lot for get killed right in front of your eyes is the worst, and D2 will wish that he had killed Schuldig much quicker forever. His feelings has been fluctuating since the day before yesterday, when they spiked up in distress. He’s been out running a lot more than he usually is, and off in the Near Shore looking to distract himself from his thoughts.
Not that he’s always gone from the temple, he’s there reworking his maps, cooking, playing with his cats or taking care of his plants, or working on his holy water filled bullets.
Nothing of it seems able to make his feelings stabilize. ]

...Hello? D2? Are you busy?
no subject
Leaves still in hand, he goes to get the door, though it's unlocked. ]
Hi.. Something up?
no subject
[He absentmindedly rubs a spot on his arm.]
no subject
[ He can't very well say that nothing is wrong. A god being able to sense their shinkis feelings wasn't fair. ]
I guess..
no subject
[He really does feel selfish, but he's seen the results of that.]
no subject
[ Doesn't mean he wants to talk about it, even if he knows that he should because, well, guilt. So he'll drag it out a bit. ]
no subject
[They might just get caught in an endless loop of apology and polite deflection at this rate.]
no subject
No, yeah, I understand, sorry about that.
no subject
[Finally.]
no subject
[ Well. At least D2 knows that he has to talk about it, or the guilt will harm Forrest. And he doesn't want to harm him. ]
Well, I, provided last resort backup, to handle this god called Schuldig, and I..didn't kill him quick enough, because he killed Hakkai, and if I had killed him first Hakkai would not be..dead right now.
[ The guilt comes heavy through the bond when he thinks and talks about Hakkai, and it's (probably) clear that he's not feeling guilty over killing another god. Only over the death of a dear friend. ]
no subject
[Forrest does his best to keep a neutral face while D2 explains, but he can't hide the slight winces when he mentions Hakkai.]
I thought it had been a while since I'd seen Hakkai at the school.
[He frowns, closing his eyes and chewing his lip.]
no subject
Yeah it's... Yeah, he can't really be there if he's not...here at all..
no subject
[Oddly, and though he seems utterly not the type, Forrest certainly sounds as if he speaks with some personal experience here.]
no subject
No you don't have to, I'm not really looking for you to say anything. I'm sorry if I blighted you...I'll probably do it again over this for a while... Sorry.
no subject
[Forrest nods, frowning.]
And I know I can't tell you how to feel... but can you at least promise me you'll come to me if you need to talk?
[As a warning, if nothing else.]
no subject
Roger that. [ He's just going to decide that this is a case of "you need to do this" because really, he would need to, in some cases, so treating it like an order is preferable to him. Because in this case, it would be easier to make sure that he actually did it. ] I will do my best to do so.
