Who: D2 & Open.
When: September 22 and also other dates.
Where: Both Shores.
What: Memory and item regains happened, so there’s some physical and spell training, and some other stuff.
1, 22nd, both shores
[ Getting a whole flood of memories rush back in your mind is like being slapped by a waterfall. Ten years worth of interactions and a whole lot of information about both of them. As if he didn’t have a lot in his head already. Though he supposes that processing all the information is distraction enough for a day or two.
When he’s out doing what he does during the day (running, going to the gym, language tutoring, shopping and whatever else there is) he sometimes fiddles with, sometimes stops to look at the black dogtags he found in his bedroom when he woke up from the memories. Not that he needs to wear them - and they’re obsolete now that he’s dead - but he doesn’t want to lose them either. ]
2, random hours, both shores
[ D2 established a daily routine early on, which includes two rounds of running through the Far Shore at very early hours (he passes the same place at the exact same minute every single day), gym hours (some of those gyms being things like places without the normal machines, for a wider range of training, like kickboxing, wall climbing, parkour, etc), and tutoring. During the days between Hakkai’s death and return, he had altered that schedule to keep an eye on his temple, adding in a whole lot of runs. After his return, other alterations happened, and he stopped running past the temple at all. (It’s totally a coincidence, he’s not at all avoiding his friend.) He increases his hours at the gyms, and his hours practicing shinki spells, even though he has no problem with any of the spells that he knows.
But on the 22nd, he subconsciously returns to his normal route. ]
3, random hours, near shore
[ And then there are borderlines. He learned how to cast them very quickly, and technically doesn’t need to practice them as often as he does.
While in the Near Shore, he keeps his eyes out for ayakashi, and if he spots any, he uses borderlines to route them away from their mortal prey. He blocks their path and chase them in the direction he wants them to go, and uses borderlines to incapacitate them. It’s possible to harm them with borderlines, even if it’s really hard to kill them without rendering them with the combined powers of a shinki and god. And then patience is required.
Maybe hunting ayakashi alone, as a shinki, isn’t the best idea. But at least he avoids the big ones that could really hurt him, and he always carries along some holy water. ]
4, random hours, parks
[ It’s way too easy getting wrapped up in being active all the time, at least for him. Not that he dislikes lazing around, but definitely he prefers being active. Bus sometimes you need to take a break from running around and sit down. He prefers reworking his maps indoors, so all the papers doesn’t fly off on him, but he also prefers being outdoors to being indoors, and often ends up in parks.
This includes making short lesson plans - which really only includes choosing some words or sentences or grammar in various languages since that’s what his one-on-one tutoring sessions are about - reading, or trying to, because he tends to get a little restless, and, after the 23rd or so, writing down what he might order on new shinki-related dogtags for himself because he feels like maybe he could have something that is a bit more up to date. But he’s on his third god, should he make tags regarding his previous two as well? ]

[Don't pull that on him, buddy. Chikusa's dull stare says he will have none of it.]

I just took another way for a couple days...
no subject
...Hakkai.
[No other explanation with that simple statement, just that stare.]
no subject
He is a bit... I miss him remembering things.
[ And then there's the crushing guilt re: Hakkai's death. ]
no subject
[There has to be a reason to this, right?]
no subject
[ He's not sure he's mentally prepared for that. ]
no subject
[At least, not for a while yet.]
no subject
Did he get thrown out?
no subject
[From his own temple, yes. Ayumu doesn't mess around.]
no subject
[ It's not completely Hakkai's fault that he died, though... ]
no subject
[He'll finish that sentence for you.]
