[The comment has a gentle teasing tone to it, though she supposes if someone knew what they were looking for - calloused hands, certain muscles - it might be obvious.] How could I turn down such an enthusiastic request? I'd be more than happy to give such a charming girl like yourself some help.

I was just really hopeful was all! Not many people say "Fighter" around here and mean spells, but I know both Forrest and his dad cast spells so I wasn't sure... but... anyway!

[Oh well! Now she's just happy.]

I was sparring with some friends of mine for a long time, but... they're gone now. [She can't help the dip in his voice for a moment, but she looks back up with a smile.] I'm trying to get even better so that when I see them again, they'll scarcely recognize me - that sort of thing. As a shinki, I've only got about 5 months of practice in.

Hmm, that's not a bad start!

[And everyone has to start somewhere, after all. Soleil, having grown up through a war, is used to seeing kids younger than Kairi taking up an interest in fighting, though the idea of a shinki being so enthusiastic about taking up arms as a change of pace seems a little unusual.

But, still, she did already agree to it, there's no real reason to take it back.]

I can keep an eye out for you on training days, but if you'd like to get some extra sparring in between those, the temple of Freyr is always welcome to visitors.

[Which catches Kairi's interest immediately, but she still appreciates the offer.]

That's kind of you to offer, anyway - a few other gods have offered that to me, but you've been a lot more... approachable, I guess.

[Something about Lenneth is still just so inhuman that conversations with her challenge Kairi a lot.]

[The name Bladr rings... a pretty faint bell. Like something she may have heard in passing, but hasn't thought much about. Exploring her own pantheon's other residents hasn't been a top priority, so the association is pretty weak.

Regardless, that's far from the most important thing happening in this conversation, so she'll move it along from there.]

I do try to keep myself pretty open. [So, have a smile in appreciation that she's definitely succeeding there.] Feel free to call on me if you need anything, really, someone as charming as yourself should have at least that much at her disposal.
