Who: Adrien, Hime & Marinette Plagg & Tikki
When: [backadated to :] Oct. 19 Morning
Where: Fortuna's Temple
What: Adrien & Marinette are reunited with two familiar little friends; Hime learns what a Kwami is
Warning: It's likely going to be hilarious. Plagg should probably come with his own warning for majorly high levels of sass and sarcasm.

Adrien had been the one to suggest the three of them watch movies and doing so in his room put them in the perfect spot since the kitchen was just one floor up and the bathroom was on the same level. That and his bed was bigger than Marinette's so everyone could be comfy. It all made perfect sense. Things were fine for a while but eventually things got hazy and he got sleepy - then he must have fallen asleep because now that he's waking he doesn't remember how the show ended.

Frankly, he's still tired but a smell is jerking him out of his sleep. It's foul and making his nose scrunch. Try as he might he can't ignore it. So he's si opening his eyes moving to sit up. Carefully, he's slipping his arm out from under Marinette with what had become practiced ease; slipping from her arms he's  peering over the side of his bed for any kind of gift from the kittens - but there's no toy or hair ball in sight - before moving to his feet.

That smell seems to be coming from his dresser? "Please don't be a dead mouse or something. Please.." He really just isn't a fan but he can't think of anything else that might possibly smell this bad. There's a faint sound from inside the drawer. "Oh god what if it's alive?"  Man up, Agreste! It's just a little bitty mouse, not even as big as one of the kittens, you can do this!  After this little mental pep-talk, He's tugging one of the drawers open.

Nothing there.

The next, nothing there either.

With only the top on left he's tugging it open and -

There's Plagg gnawing at a hunk of huge smelly cheese. As Adrien opens the drawer Plagg grumbles, "Hey! Do you mind I'm eating in here!"

And Adrien shrieks jerking back. "A T-Talking Rat!"  Scrambling to the bed he's climbing onto it and not so gently shaking Marinette, panicked clearly. "Mari! Mari, wake up there's a talking rat thing!"

There was something... odd... about gathering in someone's room to watch movies. Of course, there was no malice involved and it wasn't the first time she'd been in a boy's room. Of course, that boy had happened to be Rei and they were in the stage of will-they-won't-they dating. Naturally hanging out in his room to play video games while he watched seemed fine. But she couldn't complain. It was a pretty cozy setup and both her companions were somewhere around her supposed age. Just friends, hanging out. No malice there. Perfectly normal teenage behavior. Maybe she needed more moments like this, more chances to be a normal teenager.

This had been a good place to crash.

It's Adrien's shriek that causes her to jerk up suddenly. She didn't think it was possible for anyone to hit those notes without meaning to but there it was. Instinct has her leaping to her feet, ready to be summoned... or at least land the first strike should it prove to be a hostile shinki.

"A rat? Where?" she asked, turning her attention back to the two. If no one's willing to take care of it, she most certainly can.

By this point, it was more likely than not that they'd be crashing in his room at the end of the night. Sometimes they watched movies. Sometimes they listened to music. Sometimes they just snuggled up and talked. Either way, his room seemed to be the one they tended to gravitate towards. So it was no surprise when they invited Hime to join them for a movie night. It wasn't even as weird as she might've thought, though she hadn't joined them in bed.
___

The first thing she registered was Adrien shaking her and yelling about something. It took her a moment to work up the effort to open her eyes and sit up, and then she's moving to look at him. He looks pretty shaken up, which helps her get moving. She's out of the bed in record time and glancing around the room to try and figure out what's going on.

And then her nose is wrinkling at a sudden, familar smell.

Camembert?

A couple of minutes later she notices the open drawer and makes her way over to get a good look...

and promptly splutters at the sight of Plagg. She'd never officially met him before, so it's a little jarring seeing him here now.

... Did that mean Tikki was here, too?

"Don't worry! It's not a rat. He's um... he's Plagg!" And now she's giving the tiny cat-like kwami a look that says 'play along and I'll get you more food~'

She stayed close, just within striking distance. It certainly didn't look like a rat but it seemed dark enough to be an ayakashi-- but then it spoke. Nope. Not an ayakashi. Or at least she'd never encountered ayakashi that were sentient enough to talk. There was a pause as she glanced between Adrien and Marinette. Whatever this... Plagg... was, it seemed that the girl was familiar enough with the creature.

"...That's the smallest cat I've ever seen." she muttered, finally lowering her guard and folding her arms across her chest.

"But I suppose I take back my initial assessment. He certainly seems rather harmless. I take it he hasn't lived in the cabinet long?"

Things can only get better from here~

How was she even going to explain this?

Marinette was spared the task of trying to explain what a Plagg was by Plagg himself. Kind of. Unfortunately, there was no way to explain it all without explaining everything, and that was just something she wasn't willing to risk.

Fortunately, it seemed like she wouldn't need to explain everything just now because Plagg was certainly doing a wonderful job on his own. He wasn't saying too much, and that was a good thing.

Before she can say anything else though, he's right up in her face. It occurs to her that this is really the first time she's even seen him up close. Or at all, not counting the visions of Adrien's death. And she didn't count those!

"That's simple! Plagg's a black cat. And he's here to live with us! Like the kittens~" Well that was probably the most ridiculous thing she could have come up with, but she'd never been terribly good at coming up with things on the fly. But then she's turning back to gape at Plagg because the other part of what he'd said had just registered.

"He can talk because magic and I don't think he's been here long. He wasn't here last night because we would've smelled the Camembert." And at this point it's taking quite a bit of willpower to stick around when what she really wants to do is go off and hunt for Tikki. Because that would absolutely make her look like a lunatic, and it's just too early in the morning for any of that.

Instead, she's just turning back to Plagg. "Why Camembert, specifically?" Of all the different types of cheese, she was really just curious why he'd choose that one.
