006 | High School Debut
Who: Everyone!
What: Substitute teaching
When: All day April 5
Where: A large public school in Tokyo
Summary: There are too many teachers sick and the Far Shore residents need to help fill in!

For some reason or another, many teachers have gotten sick just as the new school year is starting! In a panic, the school is seeking out every substitute teacher they can find, which is still not enough, and so the gods have to step in as reinforcements. And the Heavens are insisting on Far Shore residents helping strictly because this sickness seems so darn suspicious.
So anyone who looks old enough is being asked to step in as a substitute teacher and anyone who looks young enough is being asked to blend in as a new student, all to help the school and find out what exactly is causing this mysterious illness plaguing only the teachers of this school. There are many subjects open to teach and all Far Shore residents are expected to act as if they properly belong in this school while conducting their investigation. That means you'll have to teach properly or attend classes, depending on which role you've taken on.
Some gods might even find it useful to try and get information out of students by possessing one of their own, therefore guaranteeing the trust of the others around them. It's all up to you how you choose to investigate!
Newcomers will find the following note in their pockets as they are transferred to the school:
Greetings and apologies for the strange introduction.
I am sure you have many questions and concerns, but you have appeared at a very inconvenient time. Please attempt to help us, if you can, and we will reward you to the best of our abilities.
If you have any questions, you can seek out the counselor. Too many students underestimate what a good counselling session can do towards helping to alleviate their fears and uncertainties.
Kindest regards,
☼ Amaterasu ☼

Classes
Being a big school, there are dozens of different subjects available. As teachers, you can practically teach anything you would like to, and as students you are facing a constant stream of completely different kinds of information. Maybe the school needs to tone it down a bit on how many different subjects they offer...
Hallways
The hallways are always a great place to mingle and get to know the other students in the school. You'll see all sorts in the hallways, ranging from the beautiful girls being followed by their fanboys all the way to the delinquents who are promptly making their way away from the classrooms for the rest of the day. Hopefully somebody around here will be able to give you a heads up as to what's going on.
Lunch
Lunchtime is the easiest time to gather gossip and information. Whether you are staying in the classroom with a bento or heading to the cafeteria to wrestle for some bread or spending your lunch in the faculty room with the rest of the not-sick teachers, you will find that both the students and the faculty are more prone to chatting during lunch. And a lot of them talk about a curse laid on the school because of the late principal...
Counselling
Surprisingly enough, there is a white-robed shinki in the counselling office of the school, and the golden chrysanthemum of Amaterasu can be found on her tunic as well as on the door to her small personal office. Oddly, all of the other students and faculty keep passing the door by, but the counselling shinki simply continues to smile gently all the same.
FINAL BOSS
Turns out there is something causing the illness in the teachers, and it's an exceedingly large ayakashi, one so large that no single god could possibly take it down. You'll have to all work together to weaken it enough for the rending to work on it.
The battle for the FINAL BOSS will be posted on the OOC date of July 17, all threads involving destroying him should go there when it is posted. All other events leading up to the FINAL BOSS battle should slowly build to figuring out that an ayakashi is at work.

Was that the spider that she hit? No... but it's someone familiar instead. A hand quickly hovers over her mouth as she gasps with widening eyes.]
Oh, no, I'm sorry! Are you okay?!
no subject
Fuck... Why'd you hit me??
no subject
I wasn't trying to hit you! There was a spider coming from the ceiling! So... I tried to kill it.
no subject
He wipes the blood away with the back of his hand and gets up. Obviously she missed the spider so it's gotta be around here somewhere. ]
How big was it?
no subject
Lifting up both hands with a crinkling of her nose, she curls her fingers to form a circle.]
It's this big! And totally gross.
[Her circle is about the size of a hand.]
no subject
Help me find it and I'll kill it.
[ He's pulling out chairs and crouching to look under desks. ]
no subject
Sheryl Nome won't lose to a damn bug...
[She mutters to herself, moving the extra chairs and desks until a sharp gasp escapes her mouth, hopping back.]
Kyaaa! There it is! Right there!
no subject
Ah, damnit. Stupid thing, come here!
[ The book that assaulted him earlier is within reach, so he grabs it and quickly crushes the spider beneath its weight. It's a gross sight when he lifts it back up to make sure the spiders dead, but at least they're rid of the thing. ]
no subject
[There's a small wince from Sheryl at hearing Bandou's head connect to the desk's bottom, but as soon as she's close enough, she makes a squeamish face upon seeing the spider's guts splattered across the surface of her textbook.]
Ew! Ew, ew, ew! Keep that away from me!
[And now her book is dirty... welp]
no subject
[ He teasingly shakes the book at Sheryl. Easy payback for that book to the face earlier. Of which his nose is still bleeding slightly.
But yeah, that book is not only dirty, but sticky too. If it were up to him, he'd just chuck the book out. But he probably shouldn't since it's school property. So instead he'll attempt to wipe what he can off of it with some tissues from the teacher's desk. ]
no subject
[She grimaces, lifting a hand up and glaring at him before he eventually moves the book away from her face. Cue the sigh of relief, hurray. Oh right, his nose... it's still bleeding.
She spares the tissues a quick glance, then heads out of the classroom with a soft puff of breath.]
Hmph... I'll be right back.
[Then out she goes! Until several minutes later, that is. It takes her a while, but she eventually returns to the classroom with a bottle of Windex, a paper towel roll, and some bandages.]
no subject
If she cares to notice, the text sitting on her desk isn't covered in gross bug guts. Mainly because Bandou's tossed his own book there and kept the offending one for himself. He wasn't paying much attention in class anyway so it's no big deal. ]
no subject
Bandou must've worked so hard to clean it, so she thinks.
She approaches him with the bandages, a concerned expression visible on her face.]
Here, I brought you these.
[She waves the bandages with one hand, her free one resting on her hip.]
no subject
[ He's in a slight daze, and wondering how bad of a black eye he's probably gonna have in the morning, when he hears her. He blinks at the bandages and pushes himself up in his chair. ]
Oh, thanks.
[ He's not too sure how bandages are going to help all that much, unless he's got a cut on his face on top of the nose bleed. It wouldn't be surprising - Sheryl can throw pretty damn hard, geez. But he takes them anyway and gives her a weak grin. ]
I gave you my textbook. [ He nods towards her desk before pointing down at the book sitting on his own. ] This one's still sticky.
no subject
The moment she hears what he had to say, her eyes widen incredulously, glancing back at the book on her desk then right at him once more with hiked eyebrows.]
Oh! I thought you cleaned it... I see. [She offers him a small smile, a sheepish look on her face.] Thanks. My, it looks we've repaid each other's favors for today.
no subject
[ He's just not the best with that kind of stuff. Maybe he should have waited for her to return with the cleaning supplies. ]
I guess, yeah. Don't go throwing things next time, though. Please.
no subject
[Like spiders. She crinkles her nose in a playful gesture before sighing.]
But I'll be careful next time. I'm sorry about your nose.
no subject
[ He can deal with the nose, even if it had been broken. But he puts on a silly confident grin despite the injury. ]
I won't let any bugs hurt you anyway, don't worry!
no subject
Sheryl Nome won't be stopped by bugs so easily!
no subject
First thing you'll have to do is aim better. But even more important then that is being able to look at them long enough.
no subject
[Is she going to admit her flaws so easily? Nah. She points at her own eyes with two fingers, then at him.]
no subject
[ Now he's just teasing her. ]
no subject
[Lalala, she's going to turn around and walk past him. c:]
