Like Kurosaki, Fushimi had clearly put up as much of a fight as he could, and something in Reisi can't help feeling proud of him for it.
Perhaps when this is over, Reisi should apologize and see if Fushimi will pledge to his cause for the saber. If it's his own turn to be rejected, well... Reisi supposes he could understand the sentiment. While he doesn't remember any of it, he only has ever chosen those who will surely do the right thing in the end, and no one among those he's chosen has ever failed to come through for him.
