[Semi-Closed] [Backdated] A New Start
Who: Celty and Patchouli, Anyone with reason to be at the temple then is welcome too
When: Evening of November 6th (Evening of the April training log)
Where: Temple of Thoth
What: Celty moves in with her new god, with a horse and kitten in tow.
The black motorcycle rolled to a stop with a faded wail as the rider finally pulled up to the temple that she'd been directed to. Once she started asking around, and more particularly asking the right people, Celty found out that she'd been reassigned to a new god, one who had been around but was in need of a Shinki. Somehow she couldn't help but feel like she was 'late' somehow, but she pushed that thought aside as a soft mewl came from her helmet.
She had it in her lap, flipped upside down for her kitten to take a nap in. While having a place to live was vastly preferable, Celty and Shooter were able to make do without. The kitten on the other hand needed a home and food and she'd been taking care of that but their new home would make this all easier. Looking back at the temple, taking in the angled sides and the open arrangements of pillars to let daylight in she was certain this was an Egyptian temple. But she'd not met the aspect of Thoth before, at least that she could remember. She wondered what she was like.
Dismounting, she walked up to the temple doors with the helmet tucked under her arm, letting the kitten keep on snoozing. Going with her headlessness on display might be a bit shocking, but best to get that out in the open before any misunderstandings happened. The bike quietly rolled along behind her, riderless, her horse just as eager to meet their new patron. She gestured back, cautioning him not to make a scene before a small problem occurred to her: how does one announce their presence in such a temple? Was there a doorbell? A chime? The square of her shoulders turned left and right as she tried to solve this mystery, hopefully before someone found her standing awkwardly in the entryway.

"Oh, um, were you looking for me?" she said, walking over to Celty. "Sorry, I went out and should've left a note. I didn't think I'd be gone that long." That, and not a lot of people come around there anyway. Patchouli was very much the quiet sort, anyway.

In a practiced motion she slipped her phone from her sleeve and used her shadows to help her type a message one handed, holding it out in offering to be read.
'Good evening. I'm Celty Sturluson. I used to be the shinki for Aditi but since she vanished I've been reassigned to Thoth. It's nice to meet you.'

Oh, never mind.
"Ah... I hadn't gotten that message yet. I was out earlier, though, so maybe that's why." She handed the phone back over, as that was clearly Celty's means of communication. Didn't do much good to deprive her of that.
"Pleasure to meet you as well, Celty."

'I only just found out myself. I probably spent more days out wandering than I needed to
but it's okay! I enjoy being out on the road. But this little one needs a place to stay.'
She tilted the helmet so Patchouli could see the grey tabby inside. The kitten finally awakened from its nap, looking up at her blearily before yawning and shifting around in its curved bed. The motion somehow reminded Celty to gesture back at the bike behind her.
'The kitten's name is Shinra. And this is my horse, Shooter. Don't worry, you don't need to worry about food for the two of us.'

That probably wouldn't actually take that long. Magic is great, right?

A small shed would do too, but Celty doesn't want to sound like she's just neglecting her horse. Really he's just low maintenance.
'But if there's anything you need me to help with let me know. I can also take care of any errands. I've been doing some courier work on the side to make my own money.'

"As for the rest... well, I'd have to look around inside to see what needs to be done. Mostly move some furniture around to get you a space to live in, I guess... I will definitely need help with that because I'm not very strong."
Argh, sorry it took so long to get back in gear. I'm here though.
'Thank you again. We'll try not to be too much trouble.
Um, though any room where I can get electricity and internet is preferable.'
Just because she was a figure from Irish Mythology, it didn't mean she couldn't also be a modern girl.
It's alright, these things happen!
"That won't be an issue at all. I've made sure those are available. There's a lot of information I can't just access from books nowadays, so I need those anyway."
Believe it or not, she does use a computer, not just microfilm readers. Though you would be excused for thinking otherwise...

Or at least, guns weren't what she'd have to worry about.
Perhaps, though she lacked the full memories of it, it had to do with the fact that Patchouli was like her, a woman who was far older than she looked and slightly more attuned with things on this Shore than the other.
She stood there for another awkward moment as she tried to think if there's anything else, but the introductions had been done and it seemed there were no pressing fires for her to put out.
'Ah. Well. Thank you for letting us stay then.'
She bowed again, a bit more formal this time, in the Japanese style. Just another curious bit of habit and muscle memory she was only starting to have memories to explain.

Now she wondered if that was a common thing.
"We should probably have a look around so we can find a room for you to stay in," she said with a nod. "There's a few rooms I can do that with."
