[Semi-Open] Like a ton of bricks
Who: Dokugakuji and his CR or Shinji's
When: Nov 24-28th 2016
Where: His temple and nearby
What: Dokugakuji has recovered his memories from pre-death-by-Add-Shenanigans. (Prompts are prose, but threads can be either.)
---
Prompt A: Closed to Shinji, Morning of Nov 24th
Dokugakuji knew what it felt like to get an emotional reaction from his lone shinki. He never thought he'd get hit with a feeling harder than that, but that's the only similarity he can pin it on. Shinji doesn't share in the stunned, waves of understanding that Doku has to go through, but he has to wonder if Shinji didn't hear his god shouting himself awake. It's really early, the dawn is almost breaking, and Dokugakuji walks outside to sit on the walkway leading up to his temple, trying to process why this happened- how it happened. It was supposed to only happen to shinki, wasn't it? This whole... forgetting and remembering thing. Forgetting through death. And he'd thought he'd died when he arrived the first time... what did any of it mean?
Prompt B: Post-Network, Nov 25th+
He figured that he should say something, once he'd had time to sort a few things out for himself. It's not much, but it's public, so those who want to hear what he was trying to say, he figures they'll hear it. The rest will probably ignore him and he's fine with that.
However, he still comes from a mindset of preferring face-to-face interactions. Moreover, especially in the wake of these memories, he doesn't trust scientists and their technology more than ever.
So clandestine conversations are possible with him, just in-person at his temple or your character's, if invited.
Prompt C: Temple Thoughts in General
Dokugakuji isn't the type to make personal calls to his few acquaintances in the Far Shore. However, he does get restless enough to wander the grounds of his temple where people can see him, get some practicing in with his soulless shinki, that sort of thing. His first obligation is to Shinji, in his mind, as the person he's responsible for in this God role, and in the wake of his memories of his other shinki... now he's a touch more protective of the young man. That was at least easier to think about than Gojyo. He'd been trying to reconcile how he can possibly make things right with Gojyo based on the things he'd learned from Hakkai and Sharak on his second-go-round of memories, so those are clear as day, not that that helps at all.
So here he is, once again the guardian of a younger person, and trying not to screw it up. Advice welcome from friends old and new.
Prompt D: Wildcard!

[ He rubs at his arm a little, inspecting it for some kind of lingering effect or maybe the skin discolored where the mark used to be, but only if you squint hard enough. ]
Any chance it'll come back and I need to bother you again?
[ He's of course also wondering what it might have done to Ain - made him more powerful, perhaps? ]
no subject
It will not.
[ Ain made sure to remove everything - to return things to where they should be, equally partitioned. ]
I am well versed in dealing with matters of the void. If someone else is afflicted, I can help them too.

[ Okay but on the other hand- ]
I guess some of the others might have gone through after I died, actually. Not sure. Didn't exactly get anybody from the group jumping to chat with me about it lately.
[ And since Ain's here... ]
This 'void' - seems like you can control it better than he can. Enough not to get people killed, anyway, right?
no subject
[ People who do not deserve it, at least - but he makes sure to not mention that. ]
I shall visit this Caster person, then.
Thanks
Well, that's better than how things ended up with me. Let me know if you have any trouble finding him. I know he can be pretty... carefree.
[ His mouth thins at the comment. He got the impression that Caster spent very little time in his own temple. ]
np
I will. Take care, then.
[ He should go. ]
