Laser Tag/Arcade/Onsen Open Log

Who: Chinatsu and anyone and everyone!
When: December 6th
Where: The Near Shore
What: Fun times with laser tag, the arcade, food, and onsen at the end! A mingle log for people to just have fun after everything that's happened. Feel free to make your own top levels and just interact with people. Might be a good way to meet some new CR too!

Round 2

Welcome to Round 2! The place to go when one wishes to forget responsibilities, stuff their faces, and legally shoot people! From laser tag to virtual reality to classic arcade games. A place for fun for those with physical prowess to those who prefer to hide behind the safety of their screens. Let your inner kid loose in this mostly judgement free zone. Mostly, because children cant be pretty brutal.

Laser Tag

Whether it be 2 players against each other or full on teams, put on your vests and charge up your guns! Players will be lead into a chamber where they can find their equipment and choose which color to swear allegiance to. Will you choose the pink, blue, purple, green, or white team?

All teams have the same equipment: a vest, a gun attached to it, and an armband. Your armband will display your warrior name, as well as the number of points you’ve accumulated. It will also flash the handle of anyone who has successfully taken a shot at you, in case you want to hunt them down after the game for revenge. Flashing targets are located on a player’s back, shoulders, and chest. The chest will get you 10 points as it is the smallest target. The shoulders will give you 5, and the back will get you 3, because that’s just sneaky. Get to your opponent’s base and aim for for the marker. If you manage to keep it in your team’s color by the end of the game, you win!

After listening to the game rules, the doors will slide open to a pitch black room, glow in the dark spray paint covering the maze of walls inside. A fog machine lets out a continuous stream of smoke, in case your vision wasn’t hampered enough. Watch your step! There are slopes and steps, that can lead you to higher ground or a place to hide. The walls have openings to provide cover and a prime position to attack. When you exit, you can see the rankings on the tv screen to see who earned the most points for bragging rights.

Please refrain from physically attacking people with either yourself or your gun. Other than that, take down your opponent however you can. Most importantly, have fun!

**An rng will be used to provide your names. Please see the comment below to get one!

Arcade Games

For those that don’t want to get too sweaty or would like something less stressful, check out the arcade! They’ve got kid friendly games like wacman and super bario, and games for the older crowd like Tennant Evil. Try to win some cute but strangely designed stuffed toys in the crane machine or take some purikura. Collect as many tickets as you can and claim a prize from the booth. Please be courteous of other guests and keep in mind that their are children around. So please, watch your language. Or else :)

Food

Seems even the restaurants are into games. Up for a challenge? Can you eat a giant plate of barbecued meat? A 12 inch deep dish pizza? A bowl or ramen that can fit five regular bowls in it? Take on each restaurant's heaviest meal and score some free food! Maybe you’ll even get your face on the wall of fame. Don’t worry, they have regular sized meals too. They’ve got ice cream and crepes for dessert, as well as some very instagram worthy bubble tea drinks.

Onsen

On a more relaxing note, slip into the warm, healing waters of the onsen. Robes, towels, all your bathing needs will be provided. There is a divider between the male and female sections, but you can still hold a conversation with the other side if you speak loud enough. Chat with your friends or even strangers. What better way to get to know someone than by washing their back?

An area is available to have footbaths regardless of gender, as well as common room with massage chairs to sit back and relax in. Have some tea or milk while you're at it!

[ What indeed. ]

Explosions were for a win, or for a lose?

[ He's blinking a bit, but he'll roll with it. What was the name of the game she mentioned? Bomb bowling? Please, tell him more, ]

That Town Marketplace sounds like a great place.

[ He finds a place where he can just comfortably sit nearby, and observe her- but there are other rails of this games, and no one is occupying the one next to Zelda. So maybe he'll just walk closer to investigate ]

It was.

[Was. Not is. Caster knows enough about her history to guess what likely happened there. But she forces herself to push through her solemn nostalgia - Chinatsu worked too hard to organize this for her to let herself get depressed now - focusing instead on explaining the rules of the game from her childhood and scoring points on the one she's playing now.]

But the explosions were how you scored points. See, instead of using a ball, players would be given three bombchus-- they are little mechanical creatures made to look a bit like mice, and carry a small explosive inside of them. You would wind them up and then aim them towards the goal on the opposite wall, and then hope that it scurried in the direction you wanted it to and did not hit any of the obstacles along the way.

[Like chickens cuccos and spike traps. ... Maybe it's a good thing Caster can't really follow her to Hyrule.]

This game is much easier by comparison - the balls do not possess minds of their own.

[ Mechanical creatures are not what he expects from a far away from old times/fantasy land similar to his own, so he does blink owlishly at the mention of that. A good reminder of how different her world must be.

Does it deter him, does it make him think it's a good thing he can't follow her there? Ha ha ha, you surely jest.

That "was" is all the answer he needs to refocus the conversation on the present, rather than on the past. ]

I can set the ball on fire- [ He offers with a chuckle ] -but that's just a flourish, wouldn't do much on the level of difficulty-

[ He pauses, and hmms. ON THE SECOND THOUGHT. Maybe he can do something about that. He got magic, right? Perhaps usable for something more than just lighting cigs. Those runes were not meant to be used this way ]

Wait, can I get the ball? [ No, he doesn't want to play, he wants to write something on it. Affecting weight would be way too easy, but what about affecting how it interacts with other objects and surfaces- the material itself. Adhesion, maybe bounciness ]
sageprincess: (Discerning intentions)

[It's a good thing he has the decency to laugh after offering to set the ball on fire, because he would have earned himself a very alarmed glare otherwise. Except just as she's about to finish another round, he asks for the ball, and she squints suspiciously at him, holding the thing close to her chest as if to protect it from his scheming.]

What are you going to do with it...?

[SHE KNOWS YOU CASTER DON'T PLAY INNOCENT]
futhark: (busted)

[ How unexpected. "Unexpected" Yeah he is a true picture of innocence. ]

I won't set it on fire!!

[ If he has to spell it out he will! But here goes a sigh, since he apparently needs to explain himself. No surprises allowed. ]

I thought I change some- properties of the ball. To make the game a challenge again for you.

[ Unless princess is going about collecting all the tickets in the repetitive grind to grab the reward from the currency shop! Wow, this went so meta suddenly. ]
sageprincess: (Song of Storms)

[personal profile] sageprincess 2018-07-08 01:57 pm (UTC)(link)
[When surprises can lead to rampant property destruction, yes. No surprises allowed. She remains skeptical, but hesitantly holds the ball back out for him to take.]

If it ends up breaking something, I will not be the one taking the blame.

[So be careful! Because she can and will throw you under the bus, Caster, regardless of any weird feelings that may or may not exist.]

[ If they end breaking something, no one will know it was their fault in first place. #YOLO a god's life for me ]

Your suspicions wound me! [ Caster laughs, which makes it impossible to say take these words with even an ounce of seriousness. Got it, no fire, no heavier density - that could definitely lead to property damage if thrown - that leaves bounciness. When he hands Zelda the ball back it looks and weights exactly the same. A shining string of runes fading on its side. ]

Try now- I'm curious how the trick will work.

[ As long as it doesn't end going insane all around the room knocking random people out- it should be good. ]
sageprincess: (Catching interest)

[personal profile] sageprincess 2018-07-18 07:49 pm (UTC)(link)
[That is not a responsible godly attitude!!]

Hmm...

[She eyes the runes on the ball as if that will reveal to her their secrets, but they fade too shortly after he hands it back to her. Not that she would have been able to decipher the runes anyway, but she's a curious sort, as Caster is well aware. The ball certainly doesn't feel any different, though. Still, that's no reason not to be careful with it, especially when Caster himself doesn't seem to know what it'll do. So she swings her arm back a little more slowly than before, throwing the ball up the ramp with a more gentle hand than she had done previously.

Please don't destroy anything, please don't destroy anything, please don't--]
futhark: (100)

[personal profile] futhark 2018-07-23 08:48 am (UTC)(link)
[ Good thing it was gentle, because ball jumps rather energetically from the ball-hop. Instead of going straight into highest-points score like before, it lands beyond it and bounces off, falling into 20 points larger area instead.

There, no property destruction. But the ball needs to be figured out again ]

It was different, wasn't it?
