be careful what you pray for
Who: Hak Son and Ryoma
When: Dec. 9th
Where:capitalism junction a little shop on the Near Shore
What: Lerton hears a Who and Sword-sword is along for the ride. Two Ye Olde Fantasy Expy Country boys attempt to devise a modern marketing campaign. Ryoma is probably going to frown at a phone at some point.
"It's drawing you this way, you said?" Ryoma wishes he could hear what's drawing Hak to the mortal world. It's not that he doesn't trust Hak--the man, for all his bluntness, is nothing if not honest and to the point. Ryoma is just... very used to coordinating things. Or he thinks he is, anyway; it feels strange to sit so passive, beholden to someone else's pacefor once. It's been the hardest thing about adjusting to being a shinki; he has a sense that he should be doing something as often as he can manage it, but...
For now, he follows where Hak leads, Raijinto at his side just in case. This part of the city is quieter at least, with more in the way of foot traffic and less in the way of cars and buses and other modern monstrosities.

They were supposed to find a business that needed help, but Hak only knew just enough to maybe locate it. Maybe.

They're off the main path, now, and that in itself is a relief to Ryoma; he likes the quieter areas in this world, where the cars can't reach and things are more... intimate? Calm? He's not sure what word he wants, still glancing from side to side in search of Hak's supplicant...
... and since the business is in trouble, walking right on by it like everyone else. Whoops.

Looking towards each building, they both seem to pass by it. Hak blinks when he recognizes that they aren't going towards it anymore. "Let's turn around." Doing it himself, as he walks towards it.
And past it again.
This may be a challenge.

They're all but spinning in circles, and the dour expression on Ryoma's face is growing sterner and sterner by the minute. "This petitioner may be in more trouble than we initially believed."
