[ With his work done he was ready to head back home, but the text from Slaine provided change of plans. They saw each other last - and first - time during the school crisis, do it might be a good occasion to thank him properly, and see how he's holding up.

As frustrated as Genos was, for not being able to join the fight, Slaine helped him a lot with finding other way to help during the crisis. Evacuating the students, to be exact.

He muses like this to himself, while absentmindedly reading the description of good provided on every floor of the store he's standing before. ]

[Though Slaine is still new to navigating the area, he's fortunately resourceful. With his phone it's easy enough to look up the location Genos described, and just as simple to get directions. That made it a straightforward matter to find his fellow shinki in front of the store he'd named in their text conversation.

He lifts his hand in a small wave when he spots Genos, thinking it a good way to both greet him and alert him to his presence. But then, it seemed the other shinki was capable of detecting people, so perhaps there wasn't really a need]

Hope I didn't keep you waiting long.

[And with that he pauses to tug a small gift from the front pocket of his hooded sweatshirt, offering this to Genos]

[ He can sense people, yes, but the problem is that... there are tons of people here. Everyone are going in every direction, so unless someone would be going at unusually high speed, his detection warnings wouldn't fire off. In a sense, it's flawed like any other sense. Just like it's hard to hear a whisper on a loud concert full of screaming and singing people ]

No, I just got here moments ago-- [ then he's being handed a black object, and that's a surprise. He takes it carefully. ] What is it?

[ It's cat shaped, and cute. And he hopefully did not said that last word aloud ]

It's a wallet. I wasn't sure what you could use, but...I doubt I could've helped the students in that library, all on my own.

[And to Slaine it feels proper to show his appreciation in some way. Since they both had cats, something cat-related struck him as a safe bet, insofar as something that Genos might like. Wallets had good utility, and so here they are.

After a short pause though, he thinks to offer-]

If it's not to your liking though, I can find something else.

No, it's great, I like it! [ Genos protests quickly. ]

I just didn't realize it's for me. [ A black cat, kind of similar to the one now living in temple of his god. And a useful thing at the same, because - hey, a wallet! He keeps checking it from all sides, his expression softening, even if the usual frown is still present to some extend. ]

Thank you. And I wanted to thank you for your help in library as well. [ but Slaine not only beat him to it, but also raised the stakes with thank-you-gift. NOW WHAT? ]

[He's visibly relieved that Genos is happy with the wallet, having no recollection of whether he's had experience giving gifts. Not to mention, he didn't know Genos terribly well and could've been entirely wrong about what he might like.

He stares for a beat at the suggestion of being thanked, however. The thought had never occurred to him that anyone would since...well. It's his job]

Ah...because of you, I was able to get my god to safety. That's more than enough for me.

Is he any better now? [ It's been few days, but his own god was never hurt, and it might be important information how long it takes for them to recover. ]

And, uh, incidentally enough this place might have some stuff we look for. [ He points at the information board, at floor 4th it mentions pet accessories, among home decoration, kitchen and craft stuff ]

Yes. It's just...he can pick up on the feelings of others, and when the students began to panic...

[Well. That basically shorted Hisoka right on out.

He follows Genos' indication and looks at the sign, scanning the listed shops]

That's convenient, we don't have far to go for supplies.

An empath? Is that how it's called? [ Genos wonders aloud as he enters the place. First floor is full of various stationery goods. One of the first of them visible being a stand full of cute cartoon cats. Postcards, notebooks, and other things.

Are the cats going to a theme or what? ]

The staircase or lift must be further away.

[Something with which Slaine doesn't believe he was previously familiar, since it didn't strike him as such. Still, now that he understands what it is, he's going to do his best to keep it in mind and be considerate.

He glances around the first floor, eventually spotting the elevator on the far end of the store]

...Is that it?

[Said while pointing it out. After all, he could be wrong]

[ Genos is totally not looking at the mini album full of cats and quotes. He puts it away in a second and looks in pointed direction. But he misses and the falls on the floor. He collects it from the floor and puts back in its place ]

Yes that's it! [ he moves his right shoulder a bit feeling uncomfortable tingle in how it responds. ]

[Slaine sure notices that, but he chooses not to comment on it for the moment. At least he knows that Genos really does like cat-themed things... Though those stylized cats are ones he hasn't seen before]

Shall we, then?

[ There is small queue lining before the lift, but once the door opens it looks like everyone can fit in just fine. Of course, it ends stopping on every floor, slowly losing people as it goes up.

They leave right onto the household items, such as kitchen utensils and cooking equipment. And giant stand full of chopsticks. All with various designs and pretty! ]

No cat food in sight... [ no food of any kind in fact ]

[ It's late afternoon and it's still Shibuya time apparently. No matter the hour, Hachiko - dubbed the dog statue - is swarmed with people. Everyone want to have a photo with her. And the only descriptor he got for the guy he's supposed to meet, is that he's "beautiful".

That's not much. So he keeps walking from person to person, taking advantage of not being noticed. Because no matter how do you look at it, staring at strangers like that, is kinda creepy. ]

Nah, not that one. [ and he moves to another target ]

Hello, hello, hello, Genos! Over here!

[Worry not, because Jae-Ha isn't exactly shy. He's been here for some time now, but once he's noticed a man with metal arms going person to person... Well, he couldn't keep them waiting. So he follows after him and holds his arms open in greeting, smiling warmly.]

I am the Jae-Ha you're looking for. My, your eyes are beautiful. How are they such a mysterious color?

[ Genos purposely ignores the open arms. Gods, shinki' etc, he tries to adhere to the "cooperative efforts" politics, and makes a point to help a fellow new victims residents of the Far Shore. But huggable much he is not. ]

I have few theories why they were made this way. [ he frowns ] Is sake everything you need around here?

Do you plan on ditching me the moment you provide? That's so cruel, Genos. I might end up lonely.

[It's fine not to hug him, but he's still going to hover closer and touch his arm. It's just a friendly touch, nothing more!]

I was hoping we could sit somewhere together.

I just might. [ Genos doesn't have much personal space, so the touch don't bother him. ]

I thought you needed help, the Near Shore can get a bit confusing. [ he's the lucky one to get around it quickly... cellphone, wifi and googlemaps make things so much easier ]

There are multiple "sitting" options in this district. Like there [ he points at strawberry ice-cream parlor on the other side of street. Or just strawberry parlor, because that seems to be the main theme not just for ice-cream ]

Well, I do need some help...

[Navigating isn't really the issue, when he can practically fly, but... He'll just bring a hand to his chin thoughtfully as he follows the pointing to the ice cream parlor.]

Where do you like to spend your time?

When I'm not out patrolling, I mostly spend my free time in temple but... [ He ponders for a moment. True enough he's on the Near Shore either when he needs something done. Part-time job, shopping, patrolling for signs of ayakashi, that kind of things. Still he's been here often enough to pick few spots ]

There is a place here that is a nice alternative to it.

[Ooh, so there is a place for this mystery man? Jae-Ha is definitely curious, so he leans a little closer to the arm he's touching.]

It's a longer walk from here. [ Around fifteen minutes with slow walk. Genos ponders how much faster a run could be. Or maybe they should act like adults and take a bus ] I can't promise there will be sake. But at this hour there should be entertainment.

[He would normally offer to carry someone to make the trip faster, but he wants to keep his company longer, and he seems like he'd be... heavy. Metal arms and all, at least. So he'll keep quiet and walk with him.]

That is just fine. Perhaps you could be my guide through the entire stay. I'd like to hear more about you. It's important for us all to get to know one another, isn't it?

Are you seeking an alliance with different god? That's generally a good idea, but I'm a shinki. [ And his god is even more asocial than he is. ]

As for the guide, hn. [ He looks around, it's getting dark quickly this time of the year, but this place is so brightly lit, you could not notice the sky is already black. ] This is mostly an entertainment and commercial district. Cafes, bars, shop centers, nightlife.

[ He's kinda missing the point. ]

Huh? No, I'm quite happy with my current god, I wouldn't think of cheating on her.

[Does he have to word it like that... Maybe. He still glances around as they walk.] What I'm looking for is a different sort of companionship. Since we are both shinki, wouldn't it make sense for us to bond?
