[Closed] Never thought it would be you
Who: Adrien and Snake
What: Snake's egg hatches. Adrien talks to Emilie and has a present or two left to give; a proposition is made.
When: Backdated to Late Dec.25th & Dec. 26th
Where: Bast's temple
Warnings: Likely rot your teeth cute
Shortly before midnight Adrien had planned to head back. It was a tradition after all. Admitted he was surprised when Snake had said he would come along and see him back to the temple - but it wasn't a bad thing. It was like a pleasant surprise. As they walked in he shrugged from his suit jacket and loosened his tie before draping the jacket over his arm.
He digs around a bit finding the matches he'd set aside. He's lighting the candles that run along the mantel. There's six of them and he's lit the last one before the hour rings out. Adrien moved toward Emilie's portrait with one of the larger ones in hand; placing it in front of the picture. Cautiously, his fingers reached to brush over the canvas.
"Joyeux Noël, Maman. Tu me manques." Adrien smiled. "I think you'd be proud of me now, happy for me even. My life has changed so much but its been for the better. There are so many people in my life. I wish they could meet you, and you meet them." He'll stay like that a bit before bringing his hand to rake through his hair. He should go down to check on the egg. Ayn must be ready for them to be home so she can move around a bit more freely. And Quinn is bound to be feeling a bit like stretching themself out a bit, too.

Snake checks on Ayn and the egg on his phone, looking happy to see them both peaceful in the night.
While Adrien speaks to his mom he hangs their suit jackets. He joins him before he finishes, wrapping his arms around Adrien as he promises, "I'm sure she's proud of you, says Martin." He walks with Adrien into the dark greenhouse, the heat lamp for the egg the one light on there until they flip the switch.
His footsteps speed up as he eagerly moves to check on the egg and give Ayn a break from her vigil. Martin moves onto the table from between Snake's shirt and pants while Ayn raises her head up and yawns sleepily. "'I think it might be close to hatching,' says Ayn."

He's letting his boyfriend - That's what they are now right? - lead him over into the greenhouse. "I'm glad the baby is doing so well." Adrien laughed softly following along at a quicker pace matching Snake easily.
"Really? That's great! And we made it home just in time it seems." Heglances over at Snake happily before reaching out to run his fingers along Ayn's scales affectionate and comforting. "You did a good job watching over the little one. Thank you, Ayn."
"Do you want to bring a couple stools from the kitchen in here so we can keep watch?" He's just glad they could both be here for this. That they could share something this special.
