[Following the abrupt disappearance of Yog-Sothoth’s temple and his unexpected days-long-nap, it doesn’t take very long for Keith to realize something somewhat distressing - the three cats that had made their home at the temple are nowhere to be found. With snowfall starting to creep more and more into the weather forecast, it’s for the best to try and find them as fast as he can, lest they find themselves subjected to the consequences of cold weather exposure…

Or, maybe he just really needs an excuse to keep himself busy and hold off on confronting him own troubles over Futaba’s disappearance. But, you know, still. He’s not going to just abandon a trio of cats who are used to spending time indoors, either.

Equipped with a few sheets of paper with the cats’ likenesses drawn on them, as well as a small bag of cat treats, he’s looking high and low, any place a cat or two might take shelter, which is naturally going to lead him to investigating around a bunch of buildings. Any spot that looks like it might be a cozy enough hideaway is getting a thorough look-over, even if that means sneaking around someone else’s property. It’s for a good cause. Of course, with the affinity so many heaven-bound residents have for cats, it’s only natural that he’s going to attract a good number of incorrect felines. Probably yours, if they have the freedom to go outside. Heck, his endeavors will probably catch the attention of some other temple specific critters outside of cats, too. Imagine.]

[After the busy days from the shrine visits, Yamanbagiri have taken this time to relax. Well, he try to relax until he feel restless enough to look for work around Konohanasakura's Temple. It's quiet enough that he doesn't mind letting the troop spirit run about. He'll be nearby in case the troop need to call for his attention.

Speaking of temple critters, Keith seems to have attracted the attention of the troop on his "patrol" around the temple. There's the sounds of a horse approaching, and if Keith turns to look he would see... a very tiny guy and his horse.]

[Surely, there are some strange things that wander around the Far Shore, and while 'tiny men on tiny horses' is probably not a typical sight by any means, Keith seems to take the sudden and surprising appearance in the kind of stride someone generally used to dealing with weird sights might.]

... Okay. [Well then.] Hello there? [Keith's guard is up, and ideally he'll try and keep at least a little bit of distance between himself and this shockingly small horse and rider duo, but he might as well find out if they're hostile or not to gauge how he should approach this situation.]

[The little soldier seems to be thinking while staring at Keith for a moment. He looks between Keith and the temple behind him.

After thinking for a moment, he points to Keith and frowning. And then gestures to the general area around them, before pointing back at Keith.

... While that's happening, Yamanbagiri's looking for the troop after he's done with a chore. Hm, where is he?]

[That doesn't seem like a particularly 'friendly' gesture, but it's not an attack, either. That much bodes well, he figures, but he's not about to be chased off so easily when he's got a mission to fulfill.]

I'm just looking around for something, I'll be out of here in a bit.

[Can the troop be reasoned with? Let's find out...!]

[The troop stare hard at Keith for a moment. And then he nods, as if deciding on something. He make the horse move forward until he's close to Keith, watching him.

If Keith decides to keep looking around this area, the troop will follow him around!

Meanwhile, Yamanbagiri went to the next likely spot the troop might be at, all while calling out for him. "Oi...!"]

[Keith hesitates for a few moments, almost like he's expecting the troop do to something other than approach, but... is that it? Huh.]

... Right. [This seems... fine. He can deal with this, no problem.] I should be out of here soon enough.

[Depends on how long it takes him to either find something, or find nothing. Which probably doesn't really bode well for the idea that it won't be long, but. Hey. Who knows. Temple security in tow, he'll resume his search. Any trees or other hiding places will be thoroughly investigated for feline intruders, but it's probably far more likely that he'll run into the other shinki conducting his own search before then.

[While Keith is searching, the troop will be keeping a close eye on him. Who knows what dastardly deeds this stranger will do! No matter how innocent, harmless or silly it looks.

And maybe get stray cherry blossom petals onto him. It is the temple ground for Konohanasakuya.]

[When Yamanbagiri finally find the troop, he wasn't sure what to expect. Well, it did kind of line up with his training for the small spirit. Maybe. On the other hand, who is this guy?

The troop doesn't seem to be hostile to this guy, but just in case...]

Who are you?

[Dastardly deeds like carefully replacing anything he has to pick up or move in order to do a thorough search, and making sure not to do anything that would make a mess (outside of the occasional petal-shower. There's really nothing he can do about that). Not that he wouldn't do the same thing in the Troop's shoes, but as long as his own endeavor isn't being impeded, then he's not going to really complain.

Another normal-person-sized shinki is definitely more worth being on alert for, anyway.]

Ah. [Okay, someone he can probably hold a conversation with - that will actually make this a lot easier, he hopes.] I'm just looking for some cats that wandered off. [That. Doesn't actually explain who he is, but it's probably better to set up a harmless motive right away, right?] Have you seen any around here?

[Huh, just someone who's looking for cats. But he still haven't identify himself. With a blink, he raise a brow and frown.]

I don't think so. I haven't seen any cats inside the temple's buildings, at least. [Which leave the outside areas. But before that!] I don't mind keeping an out for them, but who are you, anyway?

[Someone's shinki, maybe? He does remember all of the warnings about watching out for suspicious people entering the shrines.]

[Right now, he's honestly a little more worried about regathering the remnants of his last temple than not seeming particularly suspicious, so it's not like the wariness is unwarranted.

Still, as Yamanbagiri offers to keep an eye out, Keith offers him one of the papers he's carrying, should he want some kind of visual reference.] My name's Keith, these three went missing... a few days ago, I think. I'm honestly not sure when exactly.

[He introduces himself, both to give his identity and position, and just in case this Keith guy is an acquaintance of Sakura. Although, even if Keith do know Sakura, he doesn't know him personally.

Yamanbagiri glances at the papers. Ah, what the cats look like. (Are these Keith's art skills...?)]

I don't think I saw them. [He thinks for a moment.] A few days ago was during the shrine visits... which were very busy.

[So even if they were around, it's possible for him to miss seeing cats on this side.]

But I can help look for them, since I live here.

[The troop moves between the two of them. Yamanbagiri glances down, before looking at Keith.]

[He has never met Sakura, but he can easily assume that she's the resident god of this temple with an introduction like that. Unfortunately.... he can't really make a similar offer of his own status at the moment, but it seems like explaining his goal is good enough to alleviate suspicion for now.]

I'd appreciate it. [Heaven is a big place, after all, having a few more eyes open in case the cats pop up would be a huge help. But, speaking of that...] So this little guy is... [What's a good guess here?] A friend of yours? [Yeah no he has no idea.]
