Where: A traditional onsen hotel on the Far Shore
Summary: The invitations might have looked like an opportunity for a pampered getaway, but this onsen seems a little run down. And shouldn't there be a bigger staff? Is this an excuse to get the new gods and shinki to clean up an old building, or is it an opportunity for a rustic getaway? It's all in how you look at it....

[A - Baths]

[The waters sure seemed nice, just from the clear colors and steam it was giving off. Yet despite this, the water may as well be Emizel's worst enemy, at least by the way he kept leering at it. Yes, it may just be paranoia, but he knows all water in the Far Shore generally had the word "holy" in it, and he's got every reason at all not to trust it.]

[...Yet at the same time, it's done nothing to burn or sting him yet. It could be the rumors about holy water really was just a hoax to scare demons, or his new godhood truly keeps him immune to it somehow - it was supposed to cure them after all. As one final test, Emizel stuck his hand into the warm water and waited...]

[It felt, tingly - not bad but not sure either. But since he was not fully acclimated yet and could feel the temperature rising, he panicked and pulled his hand out. Frantically checking if he had no blisters, no burns. It all looked fine but he had to know for sure.]


[B - Sleepover]

[The creaking and other noises was keeping Emizel up all night. Enough to the point that he went outside to investigate in his PJs. Only with a lantern too - despite seeing well enough in the dark he was used to having some light source and switching back to his normal clothes would've taken too long.]

[...Definitely not scared at all by some mangy noise. And uh...maybe some shadows he had seen in the corner of his eye. But might be spooked if approached from the behind.]

If it was something that had been past down to all of Ebisu's incarnations, than it's impressive he even made it all this far.

"We could go slower, it that will help," Emizel was not sure that he want to have Ebisu keep tripping. High rank aside, he was a pretty cool god and Emizel does not want to have him keep hurting himself.

That was a good borderline. Keep practicing and I know you'll be able to get them as strong as if you said them.

[The more she hears about magic, the more Ginia feels like it isn't something that exists in her world. Nothing stands out in her mind and it isn't anything in the innate history of the world. Nanotechnology, that she knows and understands, a fact that feels as plain and common as saying smartphones exist in the Near Shore and people use them.

Yet nanotechnology on her level and understanding is theoretical at best here. If she told someone from this world about her nanotechnology, would it sound like magic?

[The rest of the temple too of course, but Caster is her god. He wouldn't be her god if he wasn't caring and thoughtful, but lately the connection between them scares her. It's too easy for a shinki to drag their god down and everyone else around it, and if she did that to Caster...

Sometimes the ones that care the most can do the most damage.]

[A thought crosses Ginia's mind, a silly, absurd thought. She tries to dismiss it, but it lingers. All right, fine. Ginia gives in as she types up message.]

I bet he'd say something like this.

[Ginia types up a second message before she straightens up and squares her shoulders. She brushes her hair back and adopts a smirk as she plays the message, gesturing airily with a hand before bringing it to her shoulder and giving a slight bow.]

"Me? There's no need asking me such a thing. Wherever you want to go will suffice."
