What: So Fushimi remembers something he was better off forgetting.

[It is eight o’clock in the morning, and Fushimi is not in his room.

He’s not in Yata’s room either, and Sicily is still in his stable. His phone is gone but the GPS is off and he’s not answering messages or calls. There’s no note, but no sign of a struggle either if the missing coat and boots are any indication.

Fushimi is not in his room, but Izumo is no doubt getting lances of terror and pain and loathing from the missing shinki. Following that, at least, should give the temple’s residents a clue as to where he’s gone.]

After he was dead? Could he have faked it?

No. He was very much dead.

Then there's gotta be another explanation for it. Maybe something weird was happpening that day you were at the bar. [ Yata frowns. ] I mean, I don't have many memories, but even I know that weird shit happened an awful lot when we were alive.

[ Yata blinks a moment before relenting, even if his mind is still chewing over it silently. ]

Alright. I'm sorry. We don't have to talk about that. Is there more you remembered? [ That question's hedged a little hesitantly, unsure how Saru will react to it. ]

From the time I could remember until...I'm not sure when. All about him.

[ Yata frowns, his head tipping slightly to the side. ]

Huh. And only him? That's different from when we got memories before. Before it was moments, but it didn't seem about just one person...

Only him. There were other people in the memories and I can guess who they were, but I don't remember who was there exactly.

[ He makes a frustrated sound. ] And this time it was someone you probably woulda rather not remembered at all. This sucks. I wish I knew who was in charge of this bullshit so I could beat their damned faces in!

[Fushimi sighs, finally throwing the towel off his head.]

To me it is. [ Yata says with quiet determination, watching him. ] I'd want do it to anyone who fucks with you. Who makes you this upset. They've got no fuckin' right.

[Fushimi gives Misaki a look.]

[ Yata huffs and swats him with a pillow. ]

[Fuku meows in protest at her human being swatted.

Fushimi cracks up (and by 'cracks up' we mean 'chuckles twice']

[ Yata just reaches out and scratches her ears in apology, more apologetic about upsetting the cat than Saru, typically. Rolling his eyes, he drops the pillow behind him again. ]

You're a jackass. Stay there and keep getting warmed up. I'm gonna make us some breakfast.

[Fushimi pauses.]

I want an omelette.

Yeah, yeah.

[ It's not like he's gonna argue that.

But he does shoot Saru a smirk as he heads for their little kitchen. ]

One veggie omelette, coming right up.

[ Yata just snickers at the whine. ]
