[CLOSED] what a shock

Who: Yamanbagiri Kunihiro and interested people. Yamanbagiri and Sakura.
When: IC: Jan 18
Where: Konohanasakuya's Temple, Far Shore.
What: A practical session where Yamanbagiri test out the Song of Warding off Lightning with interested parties from his post. And maybe treat them afterwards for coming.
NOTE: If more people wants to join in, let me know ICly in the network post or OOCly via PM/[plurk.com profile] Sonica.

A Shock Test (Closed to people who agreed to help him)

Konohanasakuya's Temple can be found in the western district, the area most affected by the volcanic eruptions days ago. Yamanbagiri have done his best to clean up the temple, at least the areas most likely to have people walking around.

Although, if he haven't done it in time, he'd still ask people to meet him outside of the temple. That way, they can test out the song spell without causing too much trouble inside the temple. And he really doesn't want to make more mess to clean up.

Around noon, Yamanbagiri is waiting outside of the temple. Next to him is some boxed snacks in a cloth bag, resting on the ground near his feet. There's just some snacks in them, but who knows what people likes? Hopefully, they don't mind some sweets.

But now, he waits for the people who agreed to help him test.

► Un-Shocking Therapy (Closed to Sakura)

By the end of it, and bidding his guests farewell, Yamanbagiri returns back to the temple. He would go to the kitchen and wash the boxes he used for snacks. But instead, he enter one of the rooms.

And then he just sit down, before almost flopping backward onto the floor. He let out a sigh, feeling himself exhausted. He still need to head to the kitchen, but maybe later.

"What a strange song," Edge mused. But so many things are strange here, he couldn't really question it. Why shouldn't a song ward off lightning?

"I'm ready when you are. Do you want to do it here or somewhere more open?" His ninjutsu could be fairly... broad in scope.

"It might help. Most of my offense ninjutsu is designed to sweep through crowds of foes. Don't want to hit anything with lightning I shouldn't!" Though he'd be going as easy as he could, it was still, well, lightning.

Edge took his position at the bottom of the hill, turning to face Yamanbagiri dramatically with a snap of his cape. He lifted both hands, fingers curling and uncurling as he made ready.

He just naturally had a flair for melodrama.

[It's pretty quick! Edge makes a series of complicated motions and signs with his fingers, then sweeps out a hand to complete the ninjutsu.]

[Forked tongues of lightning suddenly fill the air, crackling and lashing out with enough scope and sweep to lance through any number of foes that might potentially face him.]

[That would make for a very bad day if Edge had been the direct source! Luckily, the lightning flickers off into the sky, conjured from the heavens rather than cast from his hands as it was.]

[Hey, that works with the song!]

[Still, Edge isn't done; he makes the same quick gestures again, lancing another fusillade of lightning through the air to strike at and around the barrier to test it.]
