one: temples

[ Well!! That was a nap. Shiro feels a little (read: a lot) restless, so he's out and about around the different districts. Mostly, he's really interested in seeing what temples are around. He's impressed by a lot of them, and if he's caught by anyone around, he gives an almost sheepish smile and a wave.

Not with the floating arm, but it's kind of difficult to ignore, huh? ]

Sorry-- I was just admiring your temple.

two: out and about in the near shore.

[ So he's been wanting to do something for his shinki. Specifically... get them a gift or two! So here he is in the Near Shore, looking in a market. ]

I know what Keith would like, but Pyrrha and Roxas... That's a little more difficult.

[ Maybe a shield? Hm. And after he's chosen a couple of gifts for them each, he's just taking in the sights! There are a lot of interesting places, and maybe he's just happy to be in Japan. ]

three: outside his temple.

[ He has a perfectly fine training room, but there's something refreshing about being outside while he trains. And sure enough, there are several training dummies around. Shiro's still somewhat getting used to his new arm, but it's not totally obvious. He's quite literally throwing punches at the dummies. He even has a few training bots that he's able to spar against, and he's fast as he dodges their punches and kicks.

[Ventus is out on the Near Shore, too. While he isn't exactly looking to buy anything, there are times where he can't resist trying out new foods and then buying some to bring home to his own shinki.

So, when he spots Shiro, he gives him a happy wave!]

Hey, Shiro.

[ He's always glad to see Ven! So he greets him back with a smile and a wave. Even with his new hair and arm, he's still the same old Shiro. ]

Hey, Ven. How are you?

[The new look does get a bit of a pause, particularly the white hair.

He stares briefly, unable to help himself from making sure Shiro doesn't end up getting gold eyes, too.

Then, as if a flip is switched, he smiles.]

I'm doing pretty good. What about you? Seems like you've been out here for a while.

[ He notes the pause, the stare, and he chalks it up to his new appearance. ]

I'm doing well. [ He offers an easy smile. ] I'm trying to find gifts for my shinki, actually.

This is probably an odd question, but...

[Shun is one of the handful of newcomer gods who lives in the major gods' domain, Central District - though honestly, the most impressive part of his temple grounds is probably either the stream running through it or the massive, tree-bordered garden visible from the pathway, populated with about two dozen vultures in various places that eye off anyone who passes. The temple itself is basically a big grassy hill, with some windows and a door visible at the very base, but it's weird enough that Shun's had people remark on it before.

Shun being the way he is, even the hint of someone approaching gets him to look up from the flat rock he's sitting on by the stream and path, scrutinising the arrival. He appears to be doing some kind of flower arrangement, but he sets it aside once he recognises Shiro.]

It's not that impressive. [Shun's tone is exactly as flat and blunt as it had been on the slopes of the volcano.] You must be even newer than I thought you were if you're just now familiarising yourself with the place.

[ Ah, it's Shun. Shiro nods to him, remembering their first meeting. While Shun had told him very explicitly that he doesn't care about first impressions, it's still in the back of his mind... and now, pulled to the front. Shiro, at least, keeps his expression relatively neutral as he looks from the temple to Shun. ]

I haven't had the chance, for a variety of reasons.

[ The biggest being the reason behind his white hair and new arm. ]

[Shun has seen much weirder changes than that from people going back and forth from home, so after he looks Shiro up and down briefly, as if cataloguing the changes, he makes that his guess.]

You went home and came back? I've seen people come back barely recognisable from that.

[Add would be his main example, considering he'd seemingly de-aged in his time gone, but this is a fairly significant shift as well.]

Though you must not have been gone as long as some of the others I've seen it happen to. It's one of those things that never seems to be consistent. [It's been maybe ten days since they met, and he's pretty sure Add was gone longer.]

[What Shiro encounters upon stumbling into Shinju's temple is a very charming structure, Shinto in origin and mirroring that of an existing shrine on the near shore. Unfortunately, the person his loitering is caught by isn't the temple's resident deity, but rather one of her shinki - a rather young looking girl with long black hair who was busying herself by sweeping a light dusting of snow off of the pathway. Despite the friendly greeting, she looks a little startled, a little concerned, a little frightened about this stranger suddenly on the temple grounds, and after taking a moment to decide what to do, tightening her grip on the broom in anxiousness, she runs back inside.

It's only a few moments later that Yuna emerges from the building, equipped with a simple pair of white gauntlets, cautious, but mostly curious about what could have spooked her shinki so badly.]

Oh, hello...!

[She was... sort of expecting an ayakashi, or some kind of mysterious hooded figure... but nope. Just a man, a man with a very cool looking prosthetic arm, but still just a man.]

[ Ah. He tries to reassure the girl that he's not here to hurt her, that he's just curious, really... but she's then running into the temple, and Shiro's left both concerned and unsure of what to do. ]

Hi there.

[ He sounds a little embarrassed. ]

I'm sorry for frightening your shinki.

[Looking Shiro over, Yuna lightly runs one of her hands over the gauntlet on the other, as if to assure her shinki that everything's fine.]

It's okay, please don't take it personally. She's just been a little skittish about strangers these past couple of months.

Are you out visiting someone, or just looking around?

[Is he lost, or a potential guest?]

[The forest around Caster's temple looks ancient, from the tall, thick trees to the myriads of plants. It's also full of animals, including some wolves that do not approach visitors, and is very easy to get lost in.

Some time after venturing there a huge, white hound appears on the path, giving a short bark of warning. Archer isn't far behind, giving the newcomer a bit wary glance.]

Are you lost?

[ He's never been in a place like this. It's... incredible, really, and Shiro's far from unimpressed.

When the other man approaches, Shiro raises a hand in greeting. ]

I might be a bit lost; I'm trying to familiarize myself with the area.

[This is quite a change from the last time he had seen this guy, but Archer doesn't comment on it.]

The forest is enchanted. If you wander aimlessly you get lost. If you want to find the temple, you find it after a bit of wandering. If you want out of the forest, you get out of it. Simple, but tricky.

[It's clear he's had to rescue such lost wanderers at least a few times.]

Shin had just been stepping outside for a cigarette when he notices the strange man with the floating arm just staring up at the Bast-Fortuna temple, as they'd been calling it. There's a greenhouse spanning between them that had been put up not long before he had arrived himself. But honestly he couldn't blame Shiro for admiring the buildings. They were rather impressive.

He stands downwind of Shiro as he lights his cigarette, offering a friendly smile.]

I'm not the god of the temple, but it is a really nice place, isn't it?

[He points to the Agreste Mansion side,] That's my god's temple. Adrien Agreste, also known as Bast, god of cats and protection.

[He holds out his hand,] I'm his shinki, Shin. I haven't seen you around before, so I guess you must be new. Welcome to the Far Shore.

[galrarm]

It is, [ Shiro agrees with a little smile. He grasps Shin's hand in his own human hand, and gives it a firm shake. Not too much, but just enough. ]

A god of cats... I'm a little bit jealous, [ he says with a light chuckle. ] I'm Shiro, also known as the god Serapis. I'm fairly new, yes--thank you for the welcome.

[Shin pulls a drag of his cigarette, adjusting to stand down-wind. Adrien would be proud of his improving smoking manners. But he's still smoking.

He's also grateful that Shiro's first comment wasn't about how he looked too young to be smoking. He has a young looking face, or so the 16 year old would insist despite not knowing his age. The bags under his eyes have been slowly building up, though, making him look a bit older. He's got a touch of makeup colour-correcting those dark bags along with a very slight amount of eyeliner. Enough that Shiro would have to look carefully to notice.]

He's also a god of protection. Which means we sometimes get requests from cats, too. He can talk with them.

I don't recognize that name, though. What domains do you have?

[IS that someone training? Zoro is slightly taken aback by the very nice built man in his own temple (or at least he thinks that's his temple) and just watches for a while. The guy is fast.

A wicked grin comes on to his face and he's moving before he can think about what he's doing, raising an arm to wave at the man before trying to kick his butt.]

Yo, mind if I join you?

[ Ah, he looks over when he's taking a break, and he gives him a smile. It would be nice to train against someone who doesn't know his fighting style, who's completely unpredictable. ]

I don't mind at all. Do you feel like fighting the bots, or taking a chance against me?

[Zoro carefully takes off his swords and puts them against the first sturdy thing he sees.]

Haven't fought a person in a while, it'd be amazing training.

[ Shiro's done enough familiarizing himself with this world they've found themselves in that he's found something amazing. A cat cafe. And who better than to take Pidge? He's offered to pay for her, even. ]

[A cat cafe sounds different. Not a place where Pidge ever thought she'd find herself, but who could say no to cats and coffee? With one of her favorite people?

[ He smiles and opens the door for her, and when they're inside and told about what there is here... ]
