Who: Obi & Rasu
When: Jan 27
Where: Sukunahikona's temple
What: Avoidance leads to approach.
[ Obi was hanging around on one of the beams propping up Sukunahikona's temple for some time before he climbs all the way up top. He could hear the sound of shuffling footsteps pass by near above him again - he's listened and figured out which set of footsteps belonged to Rasu-san and which belonged to his shinki and these steps are Rasu-san, without a doubt. He's noticed that the man has been avoiding him- probably thinking Obi didn't notice him when he saw him first. He's been like that since the volcano, and Obi can guess why. The god is a nervous one, after all. And Obi was behaving badly. It was easy to figure. And granted, Obi was a bit embarrassed, so he had not called the man out on avoiding him this far.
He slips up, perfectly silent, and precariously balances at the far end above the steep fall, with a grip on the upper ledge of the window, his foot on the bottom. With his free hand he knocks on the window, and waves at Rasu-san with a perfectly innocent smile on his lips. ]

At the sudden sound he shrieks, because sure, maybe a bird could have crashed into the window, but they don't exactly sound like that, and since that would have freaked him out and made him look for an animal to help, he's freaked out by this too. Especially when he sees who it is, and he ducks down, face red, hiding behind the sink. He... might not have noticed he was there, right? There might be a chance, maybe? Hopefully? ]

Obi pauses, peering down past the edge of the window and he has to pull himself closer to the window glass to get a better lock. Okay so, that's sure a reaction. ]
Mister Rasu, even if I weren't able to see you, I can hear you perfectly fine.

He peers over the edge of the sink, uncertainty in his eyes. ]
I... you... wh-what are you d-d-doing here...?
no subject
[ While dangling so, so far above the ground, apparently. Well, Obi is an outrageous person. ]

I d-don't know... wh-what you're talking about... I, I was, I'm sorry, I w-was being annoying, s-seeing things that weren't th-there and a-accusing you of th-things... [ So he says, even though he wasn't accusing so much as being overly concerned. ]

You know, my senses are pretty sharp. I can generally tell when somebody's around. And when they're looking at me. I could tell that you've been avoiding me. [ It was pretty easy to tell, despite Rasu's general lack of presence. ] Neither of us were being ourselves back there, I'm pretty sure. I was a bit too prickly at the time.

[ Had he not been from this side of the shore it would have been 99% chance of him never noticing him, but, alas. ]
Y-you don't ha-hate me?
no subject
[ He's too nice to hate. Niceness can be resented but for him it's a bit more complicated. He's not really all that used to niceness. ]
And you?
no subject
[ Uncertainly he gets up to standing again, wrapping his braid around his hand and fiddling with it with the other. ]
I, I w-wouldn't hate you... Um, d-do you need me to open the w-window?
no subject
[ Try that again when they know Obi's past. It's not exactly bloodless and free of brutality.
How about he doesn't tell him that he could easily get in even without permission, in the meantime. ]
I guess that might be good, unless you prefer not to.
[ nvm that he could hang out out here for ages, probably ]
no subject
[ Uh-oh.
Yeah, sure, don't make him worried about what will happen if you fall off the side of his temple that's high off the ground.
He carefully opens the window so that Obi can get inside. ]
