Alright, Pyrrha... are you ready for this?

[ His voice is quiet, a little somber. A prayer to move on. Shiro knows what it feels like to lose someone important, and in a lot of ways, he's lost so much. So... maybe he and Pyrrha--whom he trusts so much already--can give someone a little help.

He hopes, anyway. ]

It's an important prayer, after all.

[ this isn't a prayer to be taken lightly. ...well, none of them are, really, but this one's a lot more somber and delicate than the other prayers she's went on. she sees shiro's expression and gives him a firm look--one that says that she's definitely going to take this seriously. ]

I'm ready. I won't let you down, Shiro.

[galrarm]

[ He gives her a smile as he nods. Truly, he trusts her to take this seriously; Pyrrha isn't the type to goof around when it absolutely matters. ]

We won't let each other down. I promise.

[incinerators]

[ she smiles at him in kind and follows him to...wherever it is they need to go. ]

I believe it. [ she trusts him with her life. ] I'll follow your lead.

[galrarm]

[ And, really, that's the most important thing. If his shinki can't trust him, he's failing as a god, isn't he?

... anyway. He leads her to a small cottage. Once, the garden might have been beautiful. But now it's overgrown with weeds, and the plants are wilted. Even in the chillier weather, Shiro thinks they shouldn't be looking like that. He lapses into a thoughtful silence, eyebrows furrowed. ]

I wonder if the garden was something they tended together.

[incinerators]

[ it's a sad sight to see, if that's the case. what was once taken care of and loved has now been left behind to wilt. it's tragic. she frowns, mindful of her steps, careful not to get her foot tangled in any weeds. ]

If so...perhaps we can help them restore it to how it once was?

[galrarm]

[ Shiro kneels down, brushing gentle fingers against the deadened plants. What Pyrrha says strikes him as a great idea--and he'd been thinking it, too. ]

Maybe so. But that might take a while. [ He touches a hand to his chin, thinking. ] Maybe if we brought in a live plant, and replanted it here, it would be enough of a sign. What do you think?

[incinerators]

That's a very good idea, Shiro. That gesture alone may be enough to help them reconcile with what's happened and move forward.

[ a glimmer of hope. ]

[galrarm]

We might have to make our way to a store, then.

[ He reads the little cards that've been put in each flower pot. ]

Pansies might be our best bet. There are a lot of those, here.

[incinerators]

Agreed. It looks like they've taken quite a liking to those.

[ so. pansies. got it. pyrrha starts heading out of the garden, back onto the streets. ]

I may know the way to a flower shop; I remember passing by one when I went on a prayer with Keith.

[galrarm]

Lead the way, then.

[ He follows behind her. It's... strange, not being seen by anyone here. He isn't sure he'll ever get used to it completely. ]

You and Keith are getting along, then?

[incinerators]

I'd say so. He seemed...surprised, when I told him that we were friends...

[ she grins a little sheepishly. ] I'm not sure if that was too much for me to assume?

[galrarm]

[ Ah... Shiro is not surprised. He shakes his head. ]

I don't think it was, no. Keith is... well. I think it's difficult for him to let himself get close to people.

[incinerators]

It seemed that way when we first met...but I hope he feels the same way.

[ get f-bombed, keith.

thinking about it, though, makes pyrrha stop walking. she looks a little hesitant, but she turns to look at shiro. ]

Shiro... I just want to thank you for everything you've done for me.

[galrarm]

I hope so, too.

[ He glances back at her when she... thanks him. He looks a little surprised, but the surprise melts into a warm smile. ]

You're welcome. But you really don't have to thank me, Pyrrha. You're not just my shinki--you're my friend.

[incinerators]

Oh...!

[ and there it is. the f-bomb. is this how keith felt when she called him her friend? ]

I...I'm glad to hear it. [ she smiles a little sheepishly. for some reason, she hadn't been expecting that from him.

but she isn't surprised. ] You're my friend, too.

[galrarm]

[ Oh... that touches him, and Shiro puts a hand on her shoulder. ]

I'm glad. And I'm glad you're on this team, Pyrrha.

[incinerators]

There's nowhere else I'd rather be, Shiro.

[ she smiles warmly at him and nods firmly. she means it. she's proud to be a member of Team Serapis. ]

Now, let's get going, shall we?

[galrarm]

[ He gives her shoulder a light squeeze and nods. ]

Yeah. Alright, to the flower shop.

[ awaaaaaaaaaaay

It's not too far, at least. Shiro casts a look around, and he's glad these flowers are labeled, because he doesn't know a whole lot about them. ]

I guess we have to decide on a color.

[incinerators]

Hmm. Perhaps something vibrant--purple? Yellow?

Something that will give them hope.

[galrarm]

[ Hmmm. ]

How about orange and yellow? They'll definitely be noticeable, too.

[incinerators]

Orange and yellow it is. They're very vibrant, aren't they?

[ and they're two of her favorite colors. not that she's biased or anything. nope. ]

Though... I'm not quite sure what type of flower would be best. Should we just base it off of aesthetics?

[galrarm]

[ Of course not!! They're good colors, besides. Pyrrha has excellent taste. ]

Why don't we go with pansies? I saw some at the garden.

[incinerators]

Sure! That's a very good idea.

[ she starts searching for some pansies--there're so many flowers to pick from here! and after some scanning, she sees some at the end of the isle. pyrrha heads that way before picking up a pot of them. ]

Found them. Do you think this will work?

[galrarm]

[ He nods as he looks over the flowers. ]

Perfect. You have a good eye, Pyrrha.

[incinerators]

I think it was more that I was on the right side of the shop, that's all.

[ because what is praise? anyway, time to buy the pansies. she pulls out some change and carries the pot of flowers out of the store. ]

...Should we have picked up some planting supplies?

[galrarm]

[ pyrrha, ]

... We probably should have. I'll be right back.

[ He enters the shop again and buys a hand trowel, a small bag of dirt, and some fertilizer. Look, he doesn't really do much gardening, but this seems like a solid selection.

He joins Pyrrha again. ]

Alright. Ready to head back.

[incinerators]

That was quick. Are you sure you don't have gardening experience?

Not particularly. I just picked up a few thing from a friend's mom back home.
