[Open] Shops, Sweets, Service
Who: Aymeric and YOU
When: Feb 18-28th
Where: Far Shore, Near Shore: Tokyo, Sapporo, Heligoland
What: Shopping, Sweets, business as usual
1. How to Shop For Your Dragoon (Closed to Estinien): Far Shore/Tokyo
[This was going to be harder than any mission he has taken on, including fighting dragons for a test and breaking into houses of cultists. A task so daunting that it may seem simple to the public at large but with the target in question, it's like climbing Sohm Al. Which is a very tall mountain with part of it floating in the air so that says something. And what exactly is this task that Aymeric was being a little worried over?
Clothes shopping.
Oh it's not for the wedding but there is someone who needs a bit of help. The problem is that the guy doesn't think much about clothing; never needed to. But Aymeric would be doing a disservice as a friend if he simply let this go on. And besides, Estinien needs some damn good pants to run around in. So that meant no high end clothing stores once they get to Tokyo. But first, he needed to try and find him...was he on the roof again?]
2. Sweets, Sweets, and More Sweets (Open): Sapporo
[One of the best and worst things about planning a wedding was so many choices to pick from. From dinnerware to venue to flowers and even food. But this was something that would be good for everyone, especially the lord commander: dessert sampling. With his sweet tooth, this would be easy...maybe. While exploring the town that has his shrine, Aymeric came across a cafe and bakery that also catered to wedding parties. While it would be hard to try and have them do as such since they are gods, they did also suggest that he could sample some of their wares.
And by sample, Aymeric decided to order one sample of each item in the entire sweets selection. But he may have spotted you from his seat and wave to you.]
Well met, my friend! Care to keep me company for a bit?
[Also there's free sweets. What's not to like? Other than than some loud woman further in.]
3. God, Leader...Errand Boy? (Open): Heligoland
[Ever since arriving on this star, Aymeric had the option to stay the path he would typically choose to handle followers and prayers or be more hands on. But then one day Goten and Kairi went off to a little island in Europe called Heligoland: a place where Forseti's power was at its strongest, mainly due to its people. It's thanks to them that Aymeric had found himself going back constantly, trying to figure out what he can do to help them out but without doing anything involving gods and that's when he noticed that the island dealt with a lot of tourism and smaller businesses. While his job description included contracts, they were more towards the court and law side of matters and being someone who wanted to help, he wanted to see what they needed. And it couldn't be more simple: a pair of extra hands.
And Aymeric can be seen all over the island. Weither delivering from one shop to another, helping rebuild structures such as fences (he tries but he can carry heavy things at least), he's around. And he wouldn't mind a visit! Just don't mind if one of the island folks walk by and call him Frederick in greeting.]

Which is the reason why is she conveniently sightseeing in Sapporo. It is fascinating that while Tokyo has mostly shrugged off the snow is taking big steps into a spring, the northern cities are very much under wintery siege. She did enter the bakery to perhaps catch some local confectioneries to bring back to the Temple, and that's where she spots a familiar face
Well, rather familiar voice, since that's the first thing she hears- and she turns around. ]
Oh, greetings- [ The first greeting is a little on the awkward nature but she covers it with a confident expression that she uses to mask the initial surprise. ]
That is an incredible collection of sweets on display here. [ She comments as she walks closer and seats herself opposite to him. ] It is not just a simple indulgence, isn't it?

As much as my tastes can handle the amount of sweetness, this does have a purpose. I am trying to come up with a list of what kinds to serve for the wedding reception of my dearest and I.
[He even has a notebook and pen at the ready just to make sure.]
no subject
Congratulations! I understand this must be quite an arduous task. Are you making all the preparations yourself?
[ There are many places offering full wedding services, but of course they do serve places on the Near Shore only. And with them being divine or dead it presents quite a challenge. ]
no subject
[Doesn't sound like much of one unless you happen to be someone who enjoys a lot of sweets. Then again, he does keep a stash hidden in his office.]
2
When he sees Aymeric, and blinks. Ah. Well then.]
I suppose I could do that, yes.
[Gonna sit across from here.
Have this sweets hater to keep you company.]

It feels that this place is wonderful for planning, does it not? How goes Zoro and your own ceremony planning?
no subject
[He hums lightly.]
I just want something simple.
no subject
[Alas Aymeric is friends with too many people.]
2
Impressive spread. What's the occasion?
no subject
I am trying to narrow down what will be served for the reception. Simply pointing to an item will not be any good if the dessert is foul.
[He is also trying to consider other people because his sweeth tooth is massive. Like down a large Unicorn Frappucino kind.]
Do any stand out to you?
no subject
You definitely want seasonal fruit. Is that tiramisu next to it?
no subject
[Wait, which is the tiramisu? It's the one with the crispy cookie things on the bottom, right? The one involving coffee? Yes, that should be correct as he nods just as he cut a couple pieces of the fruit tart for them both.]
no subject
[Ginia gladly takes her half of the tart and bites into it, nodding her approval at the sweet fruit, light cream, and flaky crust. Delicious.
Further in the cafe, there's a shout of disgust. Ginia pauses and glances over her shoulder, unable to see the source. Huh. Turning back to the spread, she cuts the tiramisu in half and serves both of them a piece.]
I don't like coffee much, but it's great in tiramisu.
no subject
[Oh he heard that shout but it does not involve them. Best to ignore it for now and try that fruit tart. There's something about the fruit that feels refreshing and light compared to chocolate.]

[It's not like Ren's got anything better to do around this time of year. He'll sit down and spend a few minutes here. ]
Do you want to talk about anything?
[He figured that there might be something on Aymeric's mind.]
no subject
Hmm, I do need an opinion on what is good to serve at a celebration without it being over the top. For now I am handling the sweet aspect but my opinion might be a bit broad.
no subject
Is that right? Sounds exciting.
[ Ren shifts his glasses and looks at Aymeric from where he's standing. ]
No one's going to complain with sweets at the table.
no subject
True but the kinds vary between people. It is more trying to strike a balance instead of choosing every single item here and to have at it.
[Seriously, with all the chocolate and candies he stashes in his office it's a big issue for him. He seriously would want to get every single item but common sense dictates otherwise.]
no subject
[ So many things to consider. Ren is lacking in certain aspects so he can't immediately choose the best course of action here. ]
You can start from there and narrow down your options.
1
For once Estinien is not on the roof, not brooding over how awful things are but merely giving things some thought as he loiters outside. Soon he'll be responsible for a Shinki and that alone is another big question mark over the dragoon's head; after everything that has happened back home Estinien is sure he can barely be responsible for himself these days.
There is not even an inkling of the horror show Aymeric has in store for him today.]
no subject
However, it is when Aymeric spots Estinien that he is curious.]
Estinien, is aught amiss?
[Look he will drag him shopping but if his friend has a worry, he will ask first.]
no subject
[ It's an easy enough comment to make, not quite a lie despite it being contrary to what the dragoon is feeling right now. The feeling of unease just isn't a discussion Estinien feels up to having just yet. He'll be certain to bring it up when he knows how to broach it himself.
That and Aymeric is looking for him. That in itself normally means the other has something planned.]
Did you need something?
no subject
Yeah, don't think he hasn't noticed a certain nerd no longer there.]
There is something that I was curious about but did not to immediately jump into; but when was the last time you had a change of clothing?
[Your clothes are getting holier than Halone, Estinien. That's not a good sign.]
no subject
He should have run when he had the chance. Now all Estinien can do is look mildly perturbed at the comment about his clothes. There's nothing wrong with them, they are perfectly fine clothes, ignore the fact that they have more holes in them than a spriggan nest.]
Not recently, if you mean new clothing. I see no reason in wasting coin on something that is not needed.
no subject
And yet I can see that this shirt will not last another day. Even a skilled weaver would see this and demand that you receive a new one.
