[ Satoshi didn’t mind is vessel form; actually, it was a lot of fun to run around as fast as he could and people didn’t seem to mind him too much. So there he was, running through the brush and underneath anything he could fit under to find out information for Ayumu. She asked him to do it and she probably wasn’t too far away. However, being a bright yellow mouse-like creature (sans hat) probably wasn’t the most incognito thing he could be…

Needless to say it shouldn’t be to hard to see this “kid” eavesdropping.]

B; Closed to Ayumu

[ Answering prayers was slowly becoming Satoshi’s favorite thing to do. He really enjoyed hanging out with Ayumu, but he also liked experiencing different things and helping others. It was nice to know they could affect change in such a way!

Looking over to Ayumu excitedly, he grinned. ]

[Ayumu's developing a fondness for them, too. For all her reluctance to take him into battle, Satoshi's proven himself to be a handy assistant in other ways. It doesn't really feel like work. It's more like a fun little family outing with just the two of them and they happen to help people out along the way.

She smiles back.]

Today, we'll be helping someone find a precious keepsake that was lost.

[Having lost her own loved ones, it's a prayer Ayumu is very motivated to answer.]

[While out and about on his mission to gather information, it's super likely for Satoshi to run into a bunch of people who can't really offer up anything worth squeezing much out of. Alluka is one such individual.

At the same time, while such a young looking kid probably isn't worth spying on, it's kind of really hard to miss a striking yellow critter running around. When Alluka catches sight of the creature, well...]

Ohh? Hello, there!

[Wave wave! What a cute little thing...!]

[dominatriarch]

[ There is a lion in your way, Satoshi. He's evidently not a normal lion. No one seems to notice him being there, after all. You'd think there would be mass panic if a lion was just hanging around outside a convenience store. But no, humans pass him without even noticing.

He, unfortunately, notices you. There's a raised brow at the sight of the mouse-boy and he gets up, eyes narrowing as he watches you pass.

And a few seconds after, there is a paw aiming to clump down on your tail. ]

[gekkodaze]

[ Satoshi lets out a small "chu!" at the paw on his tail, turning around. He frowned as he tilted his head, starting to rub his cheeks. Ayumu would be mad if he got caught!

Little sparks fly from his cheeks as he prepares to shock the lion... ]

[gekkodaze]

[ Satoshi hears the person with an ear twitch, immediately waving back. He bounded forward and looked up at the other. ]

[gekkodaze]

[ Satoshi just punches the air, grinning widely. ]

I'm going to find it! You want me to be smaller?

[kagenonadeshiko]

[Such enthusiasm and gusto! Ayumu suspects he just wants to run around and play but why not spice things up a little? She wants to understand his vessel form better anyway.]

'Kay. Hope you're ready! Juuki!

[Once he takes off, she'll run after him.]

[dominatriarch]

[ Please don't shock the lion he is an old man. Well, sort of. He does keep his paw on the little rodent but it's only when the doors of the convenience store open that his attention is pulled away from his "prey".

He looks up, catching sight of Bishamon in the doorway with two others behind her (one, a female with glasses and short brown hair, the other a nervous looking tall male). She regards the lion a moment, head tilted and brow furrowed. Clearly, he's mentioned the mouse he has trapped. ]

No, he doesn't seem to look like an ayakashi... Let him go, Kuraha.

[ And at that, she crouches down and offers Satoshi a bit of the red bean bun she has in her hand. The lion does lift his paw finally but keeps his eye on the creature just in case those sparks come in too close to his master. ]

[gekkodaze]

[ Satoshi tilted his head, looking off in a random direction. He knew Ayumu always stayed close by, so he pat his cheeks once and he started to change back into a boy. Once he was done, he jumped up and grinned. ]

Sorry about that, your lion startled me.

[ With that moment, he grins and nods to the animal, holding a hand out as a good gesture. ]

Hope I didn't do the same to you!

[ Satoshi grinned as she said it, changing quickly and taking off at a run. He tilted his head as he came to a stop, wondering exactly what they were looking for. He'd find it though!! ]

[dominatriarch]

[ A shinki. Just as she figured. Turning her attention back to the lion though. ]

I told you.

[ Though Kuraha does shake his head, placing his paw in the boy's hand as if to offer him a handshake back.

He'll just leave the talking to his master. ]

He's a rather careful shinki so you'll have to excuse him. I take it your master sent you out on your own?

We're looking for a necklace.

[It's an antique locket to be precise. The elderly woman's prayer had described it as a precious gift from her long dead son who had perished in the war. At one point in their lives, a fire had ravaged their ancestral home, leaving the locket her sole memento.]

I think it's silver. The chain broke and she lost it somewhere in this area.

[Given the time of day, the sidewalk is full of pedestrians but neither of them are being paid any mind.]

[ Satoshi nodded and sniffled a little bit before moving through the people with ease. He wasn't completely sure how to talk just yet in this form, so he often stayed quiet. Looking around, Satoshi wiggled under various places to see if maybe someone kicked it. Finally, he spoke. ]

Do you think someone may have taken it?

[gekkodaze]

[ Satoshi grins at the pawshake, nodding slightly. He turned to the other and offered his hand as well. ] Kinda, she's not too keen on sending me too far without her! She's somewhere around, but I figure once I get a handle on my other form, she'll let me go out more alone!

[kagenonadeshiko]

Maybe. If someone found it, they might have taken it for safekeeping.

[Or it could have been taken for profit if someone realized the locket's monetary value. But how much would it be worth with a broken chain?]

Let's look around here first. It might still be around here somewhere. It wasn't that long ago that she lost it.

[grants_wishes]

[Whoa, Alluka got a wave back! So smart on top of being super cute, what an incredible little thing!

Crouching down to get on a better level with the other, Alluka can't help but smile brightly.]

I don't think I've ever seen anything like you before. [Will he talk back, or communicate at all? She's not sure what to expect, but it won't hurt to try, right?] Are you from around here?

[dominatriarch]

A good decision, especially when you've yet to get used to your abilities.

[ Yeah, okay why not return the handshake. She hasn't properly introduced herself, after all. ]

I haven't asked for your name or your god's yet. I am Bishamon of the Seven Gods of Fortune. This [ Motioning to the lion. ] is Kuraha, one of my shinki.

[gekkodaze]

I'm Satoshi! My God's name is Yumi. I'm not sure where she is or she'd introduce herself.

[ Satoshi somehow smiles even wider. ]

It's nice to meet you both! Sorry I almost shocked you...

[ Satoshi hadn't learned exactly how to talk yet, given most of the time he was in this form he was looking for things for Ayumu. He kind of tilted his head and twitched his tail, then pat his cheeks once. Once he did that, he slowly started to change back.

Oops, there's a boy there now. ]

Yeah, I am!

[gekkodaze]

[ Satoshi doesn't say anything again, just moving to wiggle underneath more places. It was too bad they didn't have a magnet or something that would help. After wiggling under something, he finally spoke up again. ]

What kind of locket is it?

[dominatriarch]

The pleasure is all ours.

[ Have a nod back from the lion. He'd change back but he's kinda taking a break right now. ]

No harm done, Satoshi. If you were looking for ayakashi, we just finished patrolling this side of town. It should be clear for a few hours.

[kagenonadeshiko]

Silver. Shaped like an oval. It's on a broken chain.

[Ayumu continues to trot after him, scanning the street for any glints of metal.]

See anything shiny yet?

[gekkodaze]

[ Satoshi made a noise and wiggled out with something in his mouth. It was dirty, but it was very clear that it was the locket they were searching for. The chain hung from it, but it definitely looked like it was missing part of it. ]

[gekkodaze]

Oh! Well, I guess I was looking for those too. Yumi doesn't let me fight right now.

[ Satoshi seems sheepish about that. ]

[kagenonadeshiko]

[Ayumu leaned over to take the locket out of his mouth, inspecting it carefully.]

It looks like more than just the chain broke. Find anything else?
