[open] pump up the jam (a.k.a the fitness mingle post)
Who: Sheryl (
galactically) and YOU!
What: Exercise classes (see the class schedule)
When: April 11th/13th/15th, from 3:30 to 5:30 PM
Where: Menrva's temple @ the ballroom
Warnings: Fanservice, possible violence, and Genos
Notes: Feel free to make your own top-levels! Threadhop to your heart's content. c:
[Sheryl doesn't attend classes too often nowadays due to her work schedule, but she always makes sure to be on time once the clock strikes three thirty — or at least be fashionably early. Even teachers like herself have to look her best, especially in simple but flattering gym clothes. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoon, the ballroom is open for all things fitness, and Sheryl plans to give her students one hell of a workout.
Don't let her vibrant smiles fool you; she turns into an enthusiastic yet merciless drill sergeant should you ever fall behind on your exercises. The microphone she carries around has a built-in cord that she uses as a whip — definitely not for show! A certain assistant will also be by her side, and he's just as tough if not more so.
To all slackers... abandon hope all ye who enter.]

Outside the Ballroom
[Nothing brings more prospective students together in one place than good ol' promotion, and Sheryl is not above using whatever is on her disposal to gain more members. She already made a BBS post announcing her classes, so now it's time for another tactic: food.
With a charming smile and a wink, she gestures at a small platter of turkey and cheese sandwiches on a nearby table right next to the sign-up sheet.]
Want to get in shape? Gain some extra muscle on your arms or legs? Build up stamina? Then you've come to the right place!
Exercises
[Congratulations, you're now part of the exercise class — whether you're only just stopping by for one session, visiting out of sheer curiosity, or who knows what else. There is plenty of sweating, stretching, fat burning, and muscle building to be done. Mats are on the floor for people to use, and various equipment such as exercise balls, dumbbells, jump ropes, and hula hoops can be seen. There's also a radio that Sheryl is using to turn up the volume so to speak.
So, what can a typical student expect from Sheryl's class?]
Break Time
[Sheryl may be stringent, but let it be said that she's capable of mercy. Everyone should get a break or two now and then, hence why there are healthy snacks and drinks on the table. She's actually taken the opportunity to make small bowls of pot-au-feu, which smells and looks incredibly edible... and some fruit bars, which look lumpy. Sheryl may excel in certain skills, but baking is not one of them — much to her chagrin, coming from a woman who's usually very confident.
Take this opportunity to socialize, eat some food, sneak out of the ballroom, fool around, hide in the corners, etc.]

Yoga: A whole lot of stretching limbs, balancing acts, and dramatic poses. They start out as simple as lotus positions and cobra poses, but slowly progress into the intermediate positions such as downward-facing dog poses and tree poses. And then... the dreaded plow pose. At least there is music to relax to.
Pilates: Core strength training, breathing, and more stretching through special moves. Feel the burn as you stretch your limbs while squeezing your stomach at the same time!
Other Exercises: Sit-ups, push-ups, jumping jacks, playing with jump rope and hula hoops, etc.
Muscle Training: Want to be super buff? Grab some dumbbells and go to town! They are available from small (about five pounds) to large (about twenty).
Running: Enjoy your laps around the ballroom while catchy music plays in the background! Go race someone! Or you could be a turtle...

The school seems vast enough that she can easily see him cross the threshold and— oh, hell no.
But if she can keep a close eye on him near the ballroom, that should be okay, right?]
Try not to get lost, Zoro.
no subject
[Zoro turns to look at her, pouting.]
I never get lost ok.
no subject
[And she says all this with a not-so innocent smile.]
no subject
[He has an eyebrow raised, and is looking at Sheryl, curious.]
You know... I don't know much about you.. Or me, for that matter.
no subject
[She juts her chin up with a soft puff of breath. No, she won't mention the one time she did get lost in Frontier, nuh-uh. He doesn't need to know that, but...
There's that nagging sensation that prevents her from telling Zoro what really happened to him.]
You can always ask me things! I know my presence alone inspires curiosity in many people.
no subject
[He chuckles. For some reason riling up Sheryl seems like a fun pastime.]
Ok... What's your favourite colour then?
no subject
[So cryptic, Sheryl, but either way Zoro's question raises eyebrows on her end.]
Dark pink. No, perhaps red... Black? I have too many to choose from, Zoro!
no subject
The he chuckles.]
If you can't answer this question, how will you answer any other then?
no subject
[This is her cue to curl her lips at him.]
Why settle for just one when you can pick many?
no subject
You're right. Can you say the same about foods?
no subject
[Sheryl's answer slips from her tongue far easier than the last one. Technically it's her favorite dessert, one that she's often dreamed about during her concert tours across the galaxy.]
no subject
[He laughs, and them hums in thought.]
What about... Music.
[He looks at her, smiling.]
Those songs you sang at the pool party, tell me about them.
no subject
She sighs with a healthy glow to her cheeks.]
"Welcome To My Fanclub's Night" and "What 'bout my star?"... these two party songs were a huge hit back in the bio-plant fleets. I deliberately arranged the composition of these songs so they are paired together in the line-up whenever I sing them for concerts.
[She lifts up both hands, gesturing them like a balance.]
One can't exist without the other.
no subject
That's pretty impressive. Don't you ever get...
[He frowns, making a movement with his hand.]
Hard?
no subject
[Don't mind Sheryl giving Zoro a pointed look, a spark of confusion in her eyes. What exactly is he referring to??]
Aaah, do you mean how hard I have to be around amateurs and workers with terrible attention spans? I have to be to get things done around their presence! Stages aren't going to fix themselves.
no subject
Besides that. Is it difficult for you to make music?
no subject
[A really good one. Sheryl cups a hand around her chin in thought, her other hand resting on her forearm. The countless times that she wrote, rewrote, and scrapped lyrics stick out the most.]
There is one hurdle that every songwriter must go through. A necessary evil that should be unnecessary, but will always be annoying. The kind that exists when you lose mental energy and creativity.
[Silence linger in the air, and the hand that's on her chin moves away to lift a finger. A dramatic point.]
Writer's block. That's the hardest part of making music, when that shows up and you can't think of anything to write!
no subject
So writing is difficult then? Why can't you just write of what you like to eat?
no subject
[Sheryl rolls her eyes, a soft exhale out of herself. So unimpressed.]
What a foolish suggestion. I don't just create lyrics out of any subject. They must be special.
no subject
Sorry, sorry.
[He then frowns, thinking.]
Why do they have to be special?
no subject
[She presses her hands to her chest, a thoughtful expression crossing her face before it softens.]
Special emotions have the most power over a person, is how I feel.
no subject
So music is supposed to make you feel things then. That's why it has to be... Special, I guess?
no subject
[Zoro seems to, at least, which is good enough for Sheryl, keeping that thought to herself as she smiles in approval.]
Think of it like a sword movement, I suppose. There's a technique to it.
no subject
Sword movement?
[He looks at his hands, at the small scars all over them, and his frown deepens.]
I guess I'm a swordsman? That would explain the weird feeling of something missing on my hip but... Do you know that cuz you're my goddess?
no subject
Well, you turn into a sword, right? And when you help me out in battle, I can suddenly move your form around like I'm a sword expert.
