[OPEN]
Who: Saitama + You!
What: Saitama throws a yard sale to get rid of the clutter in his home.
When: April 12th, Anytime between morning to late afternoon!
Where: Radegast's front yard
Warnings: None
[ open to all ]
[ Sprawled out on the grassy front yard of Saitama’s house are piles of antique and goodies. The previous owner of the home was quite the hoarder, so it’s time to clear some things out— and make a little cash too. Small, homemade flyers were slipped into various mailboxes in the far shore as advertisements.
All the items are arranged rather haphazardly on blankets and a few tables for the more fragile things. The items for sale range from kitschy home decor, old books, lawn ornaments, and at least five different tea sets. Most of the items are western-style due to the origin of the god.
Saitama sits on a fold out lawn chair with his face buried in a manga. He peers up every once in a while to make sure there’s no funny business going on. ]
You gonna buy somethin’ or what?
( Will match any style and feel free to start with something different or assume any kind stuff is for sale! )
[ closed to genos ]
[ Saitama is up uncharacteristically early and sipping a warm cup of tea in the living room. He’s only awake so early because they have to set up for the garage sale in a couple hours. The idea of clearing up the mess in the house, and potentially making money was a good motivator.
He had been feeling a bit under the weather lately, and hadn’t spent much time with Genos even after their talk about hanging out more. In a … strange turn of events Saitama had ended up spending more time with the injured kitten than his shinki.
Which is why the cat is currently rolling around on the couch beside him playing with a loose bit of string Saitama is flicking about. ]

Saitama raises his gaze from the kitty to the doorway only to make eye contact with his shinki. He's mid-sip with his tea and barely manages to keep from spitting it out in surprise. He's more or less caught. Keeping his usual pokerface Saitama nods for Genos to come over. ]
You finish up with the basement? [ He's definitely not bringing up the cat. Even with it attempting to bite at his hand and failing to even make a mark. ]

I'll take care of it further, but first I'm going to make breakfast. [ he started his morning from working, instead of eating. And now he got a low carbohydrates warning flashing in his field of vision. ]

yard sale!
With a sheet of that advertisement clutched in hand Jakob marches right into Saitama’s view with the look of a man preparing for war.
Or worse—he’s here to haggle. ]
Good day. It has come to my attention that the Lord Radegast is in possession of certain antique tea sets for sale…
no subject
Yeah I've got a couple layin' around here somewhere. [ He stands up and begins weaving through the various rows of items no his yard. He's pointing them out as they pass by them. ]
There's that green one over there, that really tiny one with the roses, the blue one, another green one, two white sets, and this really weird one here with the cats. [ They were all of varying quality. Some of the sets were practically mint condition, but others were missing a few pieces. For some reason it never occurred to Saitama to place all the tea sets all in one place. ]
Whaddya think?
no subject
Once Saitama concludes the tour, Jakob takes a deep breath, his gaze lingering on the set with the cats. If he remembers correctly, his god is a bit partial to cats, and yet… ]
Is that all? [ And here he’d done his research on the finest china produced in the area. ] I was hoping you’d have some prime specimens of Noritake china available. Or perhaps some Spode or Wedgewood pieces from the Near Shore?

... How much do you want for the books?
no subject
You want all of 'em? [ Not that Saitama would complain, but there's such a wide variety of topics he can't imagine someone being interested in it all. ]
no subject
If I can afford it, yes. But for each of them.

Do you have any model kits?
[He really has no idea how this is supposed to work. Is it a store? Can you just sell the stuff that's in your house? Why would you sell the stuff that's in your house?
But most importantly: Are there model kits?]
no subject
What's a model kit?
[ That should be answer enough... but you never know. ]
no subject
Like...you know...
[He scratches at the back of his head and frowns. This is Sei's hobby, not his, but he kind of wanted something to keep himself busy.]
It has lots of little plastic pieces that you put together to make something. Like a Gundam or something.
[There are other kinds of model kits, he knows, but he really only cares about Gunpla.]

You know... I dunno yet! I'll just take a butchers with what you've got and see later.
[ A pause though as he squints at the books. ]
All of this is yours?
no subject
Uh... kinda. It was all in my house, so it's mine now.
Think the old Radegast had it. [ While he isn't complaining about some of the free stuff (tv, pots and pans, tea pot), a lot of it is useless to him. ]
no subject
[ A pause as he turns his attention to the books. ]
Wouldn't have anything on medicine in here, would you? Demon slaying? Cookbooks?

But, thanks. It's all for sale too.

Genos said I can find free lamps in here.
no subject
The lamps? Yeah they're with all the other free stuff... at someone else's yard sale.
No handouts. [ He promptly goes right back to reading his manga. He definitely needs to have a talk with Genos if what this lady says is true. ]
