Who: Alex and Obi and some prankster tanuki
When: March 22nd
Where: Oshun’s temple
What: Tanuki interrupting singing. Rude.
[ It’s another nice spring day in the Far Shore, and nice days should be spent on naps during any available free time. Walks on and off are nice as well and Obi enjoys wandering trees and high places both just because and to find new places to nap.
This eventually leads him to the area of Oshun’s temple. Outside he spots another of those raccoon-like animals that he doesn’t know the right name of, but he has no reason to pay much attention to them.
Instead, his attention is caught by the sound of a voice, and he perches on a ledge high, high up to listen for a little while. ]

She drew up the strings one curtain at a time, sometimes needing to climb up a stool when it would get stuck from being drawn too quickly. A mundane task really. Little did she know that something had decided to sneak into the temple, watching her curiously from behind one of the many benches there. There was a gleam in its eye as it gazed at the stool beneath her feet. It waits until it sees her press up onto her tip toes to reach where the string had gotten stuck and strikes then, running towards the stool and knocking into it hard enough for her to lose her balance. ]
Wha--Ah--!

Suddenly, the sound of the pleasant song ends with the sound of alarm. Out of reflex and curiosity Obi heads further down, silent and quick, and it's a reflex that he doesn't know that leads him to the window the woman is at, to catch her before she topples out and hurts herself. With one hand he supports himself, with the other her. He sees the fuzzy tail of one of those creatures and a set of gleaming eyes at the corner of his eye. ]
Are you alright, Miss?
[ Ah... He wasn't intending to make his presence known.. ]
no subject
Y-yeah..thanks to you.
[ Where did he come from though? ]

[ Obi smiles apologetically as he helps her back down to the floor. ]
Sorry for barging in, Miss, I happened to be in the vicinity, didn't mean to pop up like this.
[ Or down.... ]
no subject
No, not at all. I'm glad you did. I'm sorry you had to rush in like that..I was careless.
Thank you, um...
[ She's not sure she's seen him before. ]
no subject
Obi, Miss. I thank you for your forgiveness.
[ Which he assumes and doesn't actually need. He straightens back up, subconsciously rubbing a hand against a shoulder. ]
Perhaps it is slightly dangerous to go climbing with anything but utmost vigilance in such... furry weather.

Alex is fine--but um..what do you mean by..furry?
no subject
Alright, Miss Alex. I mean, the cloudy area over there.
[ He motions toward the animal that had been looking at them. Then the beady eyes disappears out of sight and it scurries about searching for another place to not hide very well. ]
no subject
Or at least..trying to hide behind a bench with its tail still sticking out. ]
What is that...!?
[ A rodent? It was too big--A dog? No, no dog had a tail like that. ]
Is that a raccoon?
no subject
[ Don't run away now creature; Obi sweeps it up in his arms and it is very startled both at the fact that he's suddenly right there and that he actually picked it up and it is not particularly happy. ]
a raccoon bear?
[ Obi doesn't know either, but it's as good a guess than any. ]
no subject
Although..it certainly didn’t look like a regular racoon. Maybe it was a racoon bear...]
I haven’t see this here before...
[ She tries to take a closer look, but then it starms to squirm and try to wriggle free of his captor’s grip. ]

Obi looks at it a few moments longer, then lets go of it. It scurries up his shoulder and onto the ledge, disappearing up with an offended noise. Who knows where it will go now. ]
I saw some of these creatures before but not closely. I suppose they're curious of open windows.
no subject
[ She says as she stares at the completely open face if the building. ]
Hang on..was that what knocked over my stool?
no subject
It's possible? There's nothing else here right now.
no subject
[ She eyes the vines on the banisters suspiciously. Were they still upset with her? ]
Thank you, again. Um..since you’re already here, did you want anything to eat or drink? I still have to pull up the rest of the blinds, but you’re free to relax and hang around.
[ There were plenty of benches and pillows around to make one comfortable. ]
no subject
[ The way she's looking at them makes him think that they might be, though. ]
Oh.
[ Obi rubs his shoulder, and his expression is startled. ]
I can help pull them up though.
no subject
[ They were sneaky like that.
She picks up the stool, blinking at his offer when she straightens up. ]
Oh, it's okay, really. You're a guest, after all.
[ Guests shouldn't really look that surprised about not being made to do things. ]
no subject
[ He's not used to keeping an eye on plants but he will do his best. ]
But I was also uninvited.
[ Technically he's not a guest at all. He's a home invader. ]
no subject
Then..can you just make sure I don’t fall over again?
no subject
Understood, Miss. That I can do.
[ Without issue. He will see that she doesn't fall in his presence. ]
no subject
Were you exploring the area?
[ Might as well make some small talk while working. ]
