To Remain Behind
Who: Judar, Cu Chulainn, Chikusa, Ken, Chinatsu (maybe some more???)
When: March 15th
Where: The Central District
What: Everyone else in Xihe's temple disappeared, leaving just Judar and his things on an empty lot. Things result. Seems pretty extra? Think of the people who were in that temple. Seems about right with that, don't it?
Not long before the announcement went on the network, with Aymeric announcing the disappearance of Izumo, Judar woke up to a cold and rude awakening. Cold, for there was no longer the influence of the temple's nature, but he was also outside. Just as all his things were around him, on the ground. Clothes, papers, electronics and the 'caffeine' machine, as Judar had dubbed it.
No building, no people, no horses taking up space- leaving him alone.
For a good few minutes, there was the shock of everything being the way it was. The next few were filled with laughter at how ridiculous it all was, given the thoughts and kinds of conversations he's had. And instead of going through all the steps of grief and loss, Judar focused on one step as the splotches of darkness started covering his back and neck.
Anger.
Spirals of lightning to the sky, looking like violent purple dragons as tall walls of ice took over the empty and abandoned property to leave the teenager to further fits of fury hidden behind the magic-made barriers.

[ He's purposefully not being clear on which part there's no point in. However he does make it seem like it's related to what he says next. ]
It's not like shinki have to eat or anything. We're dead already...
[ Except it is how shinki and gods maintain their strength and energy. Does Chinatsu know that? He wasn't really trying to find out. ]
no subject
The point is so you don’t look like crap. Like right now.
no subject
It's not like there's any rush. I've got no plans.
[ It's not like he was going to be used as a shinki here either.... Probably. ]
no subject
[ He seemed down, not that she could blame him. But it was still weird for him.]
Do I need to force feed you?
[ He wouldn’t be the first victim. And look, the other guy’s gone now. ]
no subject
[ Look, you try being on the receiving end of an ablution. He hasn't felt like he was back to normal since waking up from it. Probably ablutions are purification rituals and affected more than just blight, but he doesn't know how to recognize that, and doesn't know what that means. ]
You can't actually force feed me, either. I'll just put and keep my shield up.
no subject
[ Not that she really intends to force feed him. ]
The ice cream’s gonna melt.
[ She tosses the popsicle at him. ]
no subject
[ He can get the energy from around him, so why would his strength matter?
It totally matters. With his attempts to be dismissive and mopey, looking away and all of that, the popsicle smacks into him and lands with a soft thud. ]Then I guess you better get eating. You made the choice to get ice cream when winter's barely passed.
no subject
[ She picks up the popsicle again and starts opening the wrapper. ]
Food also helps you feel better.
[ Trust the other teenager in the room on that. ]
You don't have to eat it all now, but just a little.
[ She's holding it up to him now. See? All you gotta do is eat it. She's actually being patient here. Good thing she had practice, even if she can't remember. ]
no subject
[ Which is what he was doing before you decided to drop by. Which would probably mean that the small pile of fabric beside the bed was likely his pants, or something. ]
How does that count as food when it's mostly sugar?
[ .... He might have something of a point with that one. ]
no subject
[ She is doing her best to just keep her eyes on his face now. Why was he like this? ]
It's called comfort food okay! At least I didn't get you a tub of ice cream. Then you'd look even mopier.
no subject
How is it comfort food, and why would anyone get that much ice cream?
[ What did it have to do with looking mopey???? ]
no subject
Well you aren't gonna know if you don't try!
[ Maybe she should have gotten the tub of ice cream. And yes, she's still holding it up to his face. ]
no subject
Why, because you decided to get things that you like to get fat off of, instead of thinking of what I might like?
[ Well, the prickliness hasn't gone away, that's for sure. Maybe it's because of the fact that she's still holding that thing in his face. ]
no subject
How do you know you don't like it? You haven't even tried it!
[ You're not supposed to yell at the patient, Chinatsu. ]
And how am I supposed to know what you like! I just thought you'd want to try something different..
[ Wheverer he was from, it didn't seem like he had this type of food. And what's wrong with sharing stuff you like? ]
no subject
[ Chinatsu, he might not have been here for as long as you, but it's been a good while. September had some warm spots in it, after all.]
The stuff's too sweet for me.
[ ... Okay, that might make sense, for where he's from. ]
You could put it in the freezer for someone else to eat, or to last until you return to your temple.
no subject
[ He had a point, but she had good intentions here!
She does pull back, deciding to eat it herself since it's open now. ]
There's gotta be something in there you can try..
no subject
[ Look, he'll try to cooperate and move things around to find things a little easier to stomach. He's already too tired to keep fighting- so his stamina on being a stubborn and obstinate jerk is nowhere near what it used to be. ]
no subject
How about this?
no subject
Yogurt...?
[ Then again, it seems to be something with fruit in it. Okay, you got him to open it, out of curiosity than anything else. ]
no subject
It's kind of like ice cream, but healthier. It's not heavy and it's good for your stomach.
no subject
[ But sure, fine he'll try it. Stop looking so excited or whatever, it's weird. Though when he takes the spoon to try a small mouthful, it's clear that this isn't the flavor or texture he was expecting.
It's so weird. Judar's not really sure what to do with it. ]
no subject
...You're not gonna throw up, are you? [ Because she's inching away slowly if he is. ]
no subject
It's her only warning before he gets up to head to the bathroom to spit the stuff out. It's there that he'll call anything out. ]
Why does it taste like sour milk?!
[ There were other flavors, obviously, but his brain wasn't getting past the cultures and everything. ]
no subject
Oh.
She quickly turns away when she finally catches on. Even when he's stepped into the bathroom, she keeps her back to him. ]
Eeeh? The fruits didn't help? [ Usually that helps balance things out. Damn, and here she thought he'd like that at least...She really wasn't doing too well with this whole checking up thing. ]
no subject
I didn't get far enough for the fruit or anything.
[ He's just going to rinse out his mouth before getting back to the bed. ]
