Who: Data-Roxas
cloak and Terra
notatyrant
When: Late at night
Where: An unspecified park
What: Training
[With no need to sleep, Roxas has an abundance of time on his hands. At first he spent these hours sitting around Henir's temple, waiting for others to wake. Apparently, sitting stock still and then greeting anyone who passed by was disturbing to anyone except for Ain.
Now that he's the only one in the temple with no capacity for sleep under normal conditions, he's sought other ways to occupy himself. And ever concerned with his own utility, that occupation has become training.
Granted, it's fairly directionless. Roxas spends these wee, silent hours in abandoned parks, fencing with the air and slinging spells about. It's become his routine, striving to control abilities he doesn't quite understand.
Tonight is no different, as his twin weapons sing through the air in swift, mismatched arcs. He doesn't need to breathe, and he doesn't tire, going through these motions with mechanical speed.
The only thing is, it's clear that it's simple repetition]

He doesn't have time to, jumping when Terra's weapon comes sweeping toward his legs...
Only to land right on the blade with unnatural poise, pointing one of his weapons Terra's way]
I never said I haven't fought before.
no subject
Usually, sparring means no one has to suffer or die though.
[He goes in for another attack, from on top, as fast as the weight of his keyblade will allow.]
no subject
And he slides back a good several inches as a result, making plain the difference in size and weight.
Still, he bears up under the blow]
That's why I practiced alone.
[To as not to hurt anyone, though it diminishes potential for improvement]
no subject
[Like him. Duh. Terra smiles as he lets his keyblade swing to the side, ready for a low attack.]
Do you use magic when practicing?
[Having conversations that make him lose his breath are always fun, but this is important! If this kid has a (ok, two) keyblades ten he certainly must know how to use magic, right?]
no subject
[Roxas' weapons lower to his sides as he slips out of range of Terra's next swing]
I need better control.
[In the next moment he pivots, bringing his Keyblades around to attack in dual arcs]
no subject
I'm not the greatest- with magic- but I could show you some stuff.
[He launches himself forwards, ready for a direct hit to the gut.]
no subject
Oddly though, he doesn't sound winded or exerted when he speaks]
You use spells too, then?
no subject
[This kid is fast and agile, such a good combo! Terra lets one keyblade connect with his arm while the other holds his own keyblade and goes for an attack to Roxas's legs. The pain is bearable, and he really wants to get the kid.]
I can show you how to use them if you'd like!
no subject
Did you just let me hurt you?
[Spells are a concern for later, because Terra's got a boo-boo]
no subject
Then Roxas is touching his arm and Terra is left limply holding his keyblade with one hand.]
Uh.... Yes?
[He's slightly confused. Why would he stop when it was so fun?]
I can heal myself, it's ok.
no subject
[It hasn't been long, but he's seen for himself that this is true.
He can understand taking damage for a purpose, but in this case, it seemed entirely avoidable to him...]
no subject
[Terra shakes his head, and casts a Curaga on himself. The green glow on his skin making him look eerily like a ghost.]
Come on, let's practice on your magic if you want.
