a wild open log appears!
Who: Jen and you! (Open to 4 threads)
When: April 3-4
Where: The Near Shore, the Far Shore
What: Training, baking, picnicking
Warnings: None, really, but Jen's baking is offensive tbh, and I'm sorry for resurrecting an ancient joke and potentially getting thar Celine Dion song in your head as it is in mine now orz
THE FAR SHORE - requisite training option
Jen gets up bright and early every day and heads out for a run that takes her north to the park, southward past the main meeting hall and the library, and then northwest towards the new gods’ residential area. She’s got good form and looks focused, but she’ll stop to talk if waved down— or she might invite you to join her. Come on, be the best god or shinki you can be!
THE NEAR SHORE - that cooking show from last month
Right so Jen is a contestant’s assistant, but what anyone who’s paying attention will come to understand quickly is that she is absolutely terrible at the specific contest this person is competing in, which is baking. She clearly thinks baking soda and baking powder are interchangeable and that it’s not a big deal for the water for the yeast to be too hot. It should be hot, right? The yeast has to get cooked ahead of everything else, that’s how it makes everything rise, right?
(No, oh my god, Jen, that is not how any of this works.)
The baker she’s assisting doesn’t pay much attention to her thanks to the fact that she’s dead, so it’s up to a fellow Far Shore resident to rescue this poor baker from this disaster of a baking assistant.
THE FAR SHORE - picnic
Noctis’s temple is cavelike, so Jen gets some actually delicious cookies from the Near Shore and settles down in the park for some sunshine and, she hopes, socializing.
Seriously, there’s an enormous plate of cookies in the center of the blanket. Come join her!
