[Semi-Closed] Wedding Bliss
Who: Aymeric, Leo, their CR and their +1s
When: April 21st, all day
Where: Odin’s Temple, Glitnir
What: It’s a wedding! Please respond to the top levels provided!
The invitations had been sent, the work has been done (and into overtime after certain events), the orders have been made and the scenes have been set. Trying to plan a wedding without a planner can be pretty tough but the support system both men have did help in the long run. A lot of it even with a computer dying in the process. The point was to have a simple affair, no large fanfare considering this was not one of Heaven’s festivals and just a celebration of love between two people. This what both Leo and Aymeric wished for and they did their dammest to make it come to life, to hopefully a successful and eventful day but for all the right reasons.
They earned this happiness. Today is for them and they can share it with comrades and friends and family alike.

Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
"Don't apologize, I am glad you came to see us." And it being something more calming than their last visits. No talk of cult business or Heaven's motives but just a happy time.

...It's pretty funny though, she'll give him that.
"A friend is getting married and my god is officiating. Of course I'd be here." Let Heaven's business remain far away and and the cult even further. Happy, calm days are rare enough, let today remain good and beautiful.

They all exist here on time that isn't necessarily theirs. People disappear left and right, a relationship feels... risky is the word that hangs in Ginia's mind but it doesn't feel right either.

"It may sound strange but it wasn't during our first kiss but rather a night where we courting each other after that. It was not under a sea of stars nor a place where most lovers would go but rather at Leo's temple. A simple dinner and entertainment but it was then that I had realized that being with this man is something I wanted in my life. The feelings I was having for a long time for Leo finally had a word: love. It matters not weither station nor status nor tradition, I have something that I want to cherish. The risks are great in this realm and the threat of vanishing will always be there...but I rather know love and have it returned than to believe I would be holding back."
There's a lot to unpack but in everything, Aymeric has love and wants to keep it. For once, he can be selfish in wanting this and not think of an entire nation's well being.
"I had given my heart to him long ago...and there it will stay no matter the distance."

Mostly she's not sure anymore. The love of a shinki to their god, of a vassal to their lord. Duty, devotion, loyalty, that she understands and that she doesn't. Once, perhaps all she had wanted was to serve and be praised for it.
Chris is her god, but not her master. They are partners, friends who watch out for each other. Their partnership began as something practical but it's strengthened into something more. Even if Chris rescinded her name, Ginia would still fight alongside and protect her.
Ebisu is her god, but not her master either. Her devotion is more familial, developed from respect and awe, softened into something more protective and nurturing, though at times Ebisu feels more the adult. So is her love for the rest of the Mi Clan. They are a family, they are many, they are one. Her gaze falls over to the three of her temple in attendance. She'd live for them and die for them without a doubt.
But what about romantic love, the kind Aymeric speaks of? Ginia looks at Kimi. She can't help the smile the forms when she looks at him, but she can't put her feelings for him to words yet. He's important to her, cherished, and she wants to be better, for him, for them. But love feels scary. Aymeric's words are so certain about Leo and it's what she wants, but...
Kimi told her she didn't have to rush. There is time yet to discover how she feels about him. Let things be a day at a time.
"You and Leo are truly blessed. I think it's wonderful you two found each other. May your love continue to grow. If one day all of this comes to an end, may you two be able to continue together elsewhere.
And thank you. I think it's helped me figure some things out too."
Ginia is a little teary-eyed as her message plays, but if there are any tears, it's from joy and being touched at how romantic Aymeric is.

"It feels that in this place, no matter the danger, people make strong bonds that can withstand distance. As if they have found comrades and a family. I am as sure it is the same with you as it is with me."
He would fight for them, lay down his life if it goes that far. He would help them if it was in his power, be someone who can not with his sword but with his words. The dream that he had where he had returned to Ishgard and those of the Far Shore were able to come and go as they pleased rings higher now; that is what he wants.
Funny how a place filled with strife and conflict can bring out the best...and make even those who have opened their eyes learn of another side to them.

There are those that retreat in the face of loss. That is an understandable reaction and no doubt everyone has in some way if not otherwise bottle their feelings in the face of grief. But when loss is so common and comes so unexpectedly, reaching out is such a risk but the only way to live without any regrets. If they are fireflies; may they burn brighter and brighter until even their glow remains even when they're gone.
"I will not deny there's comfort in the stability of an old temple, but stability alone is not why I stay. They're my family. I would like to stay with them for as long as I can."

He is a firm believer in that statement, given how many people he has met and would protect and care for. That is what happens when you are pulled into a place: you learn if there is matters one has overlooked and Aymeric is not an exception.

Exceptions notwithstanding with the new generation and the possibility of returning memories, but it's random and nothing to put any stock into. Even if she remembered more than fleeting names and feelings, what does it matter when she's dead and here?
