Summary: Unexpected visitors arrive in The Far Shore for a little while.





Gods and shinki arriving at heaven's meeting hall are brought into small one-on-one meeting rooms as they appear, with a white-robed shinki offering them an explanation of their current role, the name of the god they will represent or the god they will serve, and directions to the temple that will be their new home.

They are cordially invited to a training session beginning in midafternoon, once they've had the chance to return to their homes, meet their new partners, and have their questions answered.

Gods and Shinki: The Real McCoys

New gods and shinki - the real ones, the ones that were expected - are being packed off to their new temples for the morning to settle in and meet their partners -- this is also a good time to visit with new neighbors or explore the area! What does your new temple look like? Are you headed straight there, or taking the scenic route to get a better sense of your new surroundings?

The Heavens are going about their usual business preparing for the new gods and shinki that they were actually expecting, when unexpected visitors appear out of thin air, as if having teleported in on their own power. They are scooped up along with the new gods and shinki and, initially, treated no differently. "Gods" are new arrivals who have strong memories of who they are, while "shinki" are experiencing various states of memory loss.

4th Wall Gods: A House is not a Home

New gods are normally shown their new temples in the morning and introduced to their new partners. The characters who arrived for the event and experienced no memory loss seem like they should be "Gods" and so white-robed escorts with chrsyanthemum logos on their backs take them to where they think their temples should be - in the Western District, where the other "New and Obscure Gods' Temples" always are. Despite many cleanup attempts, the Western District is still scarred from the aftereffects of a volcanic eruption and earthquake only 3 months ago, with fissures in some of the roads and burn scars in the wild landscape. Along the way, the escort can answer questions as provided on the God 101 page.

When they arrive, the escort is surprised to discover a set of ruins instead. This happens, they explain, but usually when a god leaves The Far Shore, not when they arrive. While the escort starts to rifle through some paperwork to figure out what's going on, the "God" is welcome to explore the ruins and - to the shock of both - the ruins transform.

How it transforms is up to the 4th wall player! It should not be very large, no bigger than a one-room building or, if more natural, a small garden or lake complex. Alternately, the ruins can not transform at all, or simply get cleared away into something more clean-slate like a rock garden plot. Get creative!

Afterwards, the "Gods" are encouraged to show up at the afternoon Training session to better understand their circumstances. Before the escort leaves, the "God" will be provided a phone with which they can access the Heavens' BBS system; their display name will be a warped version of their real name, such as "Bob Smith" appearing as "bOBsMITH" or something else that looks like a glitch.

4th Wall Shinki: And you may ask yourself

New "shinki" will wake by the Meeting Hall in a set of white robes from laying down on a tatami mat with a small box wrapped up and set at their feet. (The box can contain a few belongings of the character's from their canon, provided it can fit. Due to the memory loss, it can include things the character wouldn't recognize.) From the way that the bustling people around the area are talking, this is not a common occurrence.

At some point, a person in white robes with a big chrsyanthemum logo on the back will come to interview the person. "We are working on assigning you to a god and temple, but some things have come up," they try to explain, and will then be able to answer other questions as outlined on the Shinki 101. The "shinki" are encouraged to get dressed and explore the Far Shore if they would like, because eventually they will be assigned to one of the temples out there anyway. At this point, the shinki are also handed a phone in order to connect with the Heavens' BBS system; their display name will be a warped version of their real name, such as "Bob Smith" appearing as "bOBsMITH" or something else that looks like a glitch.

God Training: New and 4th Wall Both

Newly arrived gods are escorted into a small meeting room, with tatami floors and a stage at the front of the room where the speaker stands. A minor deity is giving the speech, and none of the white-robed shinki enter. Paper and pens are provided to all the attendees as an unsubtle suggestion to take notes on the information they're given. Newly arrived gods are encouraged to discuss the information with each other and ask questions of more experienced gods, as well as instructed to guide their new shinki appropriately. They are allowed to remain in the room as long as they wish, should they want to discuss questions with each other or with more experienced gods who are here to help out. The speaker delivers her welcome speech in the monotone of someone who's practiced it far too often. Hopefully no one's feeling sleepy!

It's around this time that the 4th Wall "Gods" might realize that, for as weird as everything's been, their experiences with their temples this morning are not the same as most new Gods. Additionally, they do not possess the power to teleport to and from the Near Shore; they might need a buddy to help them with that part! The 4th Wall Gods can't hear any prayers whispered on the winds either. They can't name shinki, whether those shinki were in the Far Shore before today, or only arrived through the 4th Wall situation. (There is one other kind of shinki that might still respond to their commands though...)

Shinki Training: New and 4th Wall Both

A well-appointed dojo has been prepared for newcomers to practice the physical or magical arts. Outside, there are two impromptu target practice areas: one is for long-range weapons, with targets set up against hay bales at the other side of a wide, grassy area and a line drawn for the weapons' wielders to stand behind. The other is for borderlines.

What are borderlines? The 4th Wall shinki can't do them, no matter how hard they try. If they had previous magical powers, those still work though! Existing gods can name these "shinki" but 4th walled gods can't. The 4th Wall shinki have no death memories to convey to the god and no shinki vessel power, but they can still be used to Rend an ayakashi.

Inside the dojo, there's room for several pairs to spar, and weapons are set up all along one wall, everything from polearms to rifles, chakrams to broadswords. They're all meant for practice, with edges dulled or padded to avoid any accidental deaths, but sparring partners will still have to be careful to avoid injury. There are stacks of informational pamphlets sitting out on tables around the dojo.

Physical Training

The dojo is stocked with a wide variety of practice weapons, traditional and modern, to offer some practice opportunity to gods who, for example, find themselves with a sword shinki but are at risk of cutting off their own toes. It's also useful for veteran new gods wishing to train with their current partner shinki.

Several magically animated straw-stuffed training dummies, many of which have been carefully mended and patched with neat black stitching, are set up on the lawn with a white-robed shinki hovering nearby to watch over them. They make good training partners, although anyone who comes too close risks being targeted for a sparring match whether they wanted one or not. The supervising white-robed shinki has a nametag which reads HELLO, MY NAME IS SABIMEI. (To interact with Sabimei, please comment on the "NPC REQUEST" thread below! Rest and Refreshments

There are casks of fresh, cold water near the dojo to make sure no one gets dehydrated, but for those who've finished working, hot tea and enough seasonal treats are available to make it look as though the Heavens bought out an entire sweet shop. They're being distributed by a few shinki in indigo-blue and plain brown robes with the sleeves tied back, who aren't above teasing the newcomers a bit.

A: Get Off My Lawn

[If you've decided to elect to travel the Far Shore or else are just looking to talk with another of the more established gods before training begins, you might find yourself at Snatcher's temple in the Western District: the Subcon Weald. Although the newest incarnation of Mephistopheles is nowhere to be seen. At first, anyway.

It isn't long before his two minions manage to catch sight of their newest visitor.]

Hey, Boss! We got another one!

[Snatcher's head pops out the bedroom window of the large mushroom-tree serving as his temple, glowing eyes narrowed in an irritated glare.]

What?! Another one?! [He's never going to get this chapter done before training at this rate!] What do you want this time?!


B: A Refreshing Glass of Nope -- Rest and Refreshments

[He hadn't planned on staying this long, but the sheer amount of people quickly caught his attention. He wasn't just getting more visitors than usual, there WERE more people than usual. Where did they all even come from? Were they hiding under those cult members' beds when they ransacked the place or something?

It's suspicious. Way too suspicious for his liking.

And so he sets out to investigate, a shadow dashing across the ground, following close behind your character, sometimes taking the shape of your shadow itself. Or maybe he's around as a shadowy child trying to trip you up, toss confetti and sweets at you, and lead you away from the rest of the newcomers (or... not doing that part and just throwing things at you if you're Zetta or Hibiki).

One thing's for sure: he's not setting up any traps. He has enough goats.]

[ All right. This is probably some odd dream or distortion or some Outlands oddity that he hasn't seen (and he's sure there's plenty of those). Or it's a fae messing with him, also plausible. ]

[The girl was still trying to wake off the week long sleep. Whatever it was that made her do that, she really did not want to do it again. Apparently she missed a lot in those days too, and went down by a number in shinki in that time. It's sad that they never got to say goodbye or anything. Or found out where they went.]

[The kid was not really in the mood for practice today. With the laziness still lingering it may not end so well - she barely stayed awake during this week's lecture as it is. Also, the meeting hall and dojo was extremely more crowded than usual. ...Where did all these people come from? Were there always this many gods?]

[She just wanted to get some of those sweets. That will probably get her going again. Normally she was good about weaving through large crowds, but today... well, she was definitely out of practice. She bumped into the side of somebody by mistake.]

Oh - it's you, miss Tempus. [ His usage of the name is casual, since she's never objected to it. ] Are you all right?

[Anyone who's been on the Far Shore for a while might wonder why a shinki is here and unchallenged; Rita's been here for a month or so now and has been at least a little visible. That question will last as far as when the presentation starts and Rita begins to take notes attentively without apparent strain; no, she's a god, all right. And she's not going to depend on her friends to help her out. She's starting to wish she'd remembered a real notepad from Hecate's temple- her temple, she needs to get used to that. She's not a would-be freeloader at Tsubasa's place anymore. Also new is the shiny, ornate gold choker she's got on, with a red gem in the hollow of her throat.

As the explanation winds down, Rita huffs out a huge sigh, before setting her pen down and massaging her hands. While she'll pause and greet anyone she knows, there's a grumble on her lips:] I think I have a new appreciate for how the other half lives. My half now, but it still counts, right?

[If anyone looks particularly confused, though, she smiles sightly and rolls her eyes for a minute before leaning in and lowing her voice.]

It's a lot to take in. Keeping up? If things go to hell, there won't be a chance to ask questions before things get hot. [She knows that much herself, from experience. Very painful and annoying experience.]

Smile, o wavering darkness! Spread Zero!

[The apparent chant is followed up by a ball of darkness coalescing into being some feet away from Rita but in an otherwise unoccupied space, reasonably far from others; it grows briefly, then seems to pop, making the air shimmer dangerously. She grins viciously at the sight, suppressing the urge to do a happy dance on the spot. That would be very out of character, no matter how much of a relief it is.]

Back in business! Oh, I missed this. [She frowns, a hand going to the choker she's wearing.] I wish I didn't have to depend on my bodhi blastia again, though...

[After a moment she sighs and shakes her head, before going back to running through her spell list. Negative Gate isn't responding; she'd worked the theory on that herself, originally, and realized it was literally opening a gate somewhere. Did that gate not work here? It's also not long before she realizes her big guns are going to be a problem, and she saves them for later, though she can't help but sneak outside once and try something flashier. Rita is not subtle, though she can at least not get anyone killed doing her tests.]

[The glass of water in front of Rita is presently empty; she worked herself a little too hard making sure she remembered how to cast her artes, and now she's paying for it. There's also a small pile of empty plates and toothpicks, though; sugar is helping her get her energy back, as it always has. She still has a couple gels left, but it would be careless to waste them now. No, she's content to hang out here and snack, though she's keeping her eyes open. She could do with someone she knows to decompress, but she'd do just as well keeping one of the new kids company. Some of them certainly look like they need it. She's new enough to her role that she's not far ahead of most of them, but it sure makes her feel better.]

((Rita's become a god since this time last month; she's now Hecate, and has no idea what she's doing and is trying to settle in. She also doesn't presently have shinki, so she'll be interested in naming anyone willing, permanent or otherwise. Hit me up if you have other ideas, too.))

[Have a semi-familiar face. Ginia smiles as she spots Rita and waves. She's dressed in a black suit and a dark green tie, it's a bit more formal that one would expect for a training session. They don't know each other well, but having fought together in a cult compound is a good enough connection. Besides, Rita is Tsubasa's shinki and Ginia likes Tsubasa.

That last bit of information is unknowingly out of date.

Ginia takes a seat across from Rita, biting into a piece of mochi as she types and plays a message on her phone.]

How's your day going? Seems like there are more around than usual.

[ When it's all said and done, Noctis is sort of left reeling. Listen, he's used to things happening a lot and so quickly, but he likes taking it slow and he's gotten more accustomed to that. He's been here for less than an hour but he already misses Luna and their cat cafe.

... My temple's our cat cafe. How about that.

[ It's said with a smile, even though he's decidedly less enthusiastic about the god he's been chosen to be. What the hell, heavens. That's just cruel. ]

[ Noctis isn't exactly inattentive... it's just that he's really comfortable here. That's all. Really. He wants to take notes and pay attention, but he's very tired after everything that's happened. So he can't be blamed for dozing off during the information session, right?

At least he's in the back... Maybe poke him awake. It's what he deserves. ]

[ Oh no. Sweets. His weakness. Noctis has a hell of a sweet tooth, and since running the cafe with (his beautiful wife) Luna, he hasn't been left wanting for them. Still... they look so delicious. And Noctis has had a hell of a day.

A House Is Not A Home

[Ayumu Yamazaki is hardly a stranger to the Far Shore. Maybe that's why the young woman looks disgruntled, her lips pressed into a thin line and her arms folded across her chest. Instead of an eyepatch, long messy bangs are obscuring her bad eye, the other one seeming to stare daggers into the poor white robe shinki attempting to guide her toward the Western District as if she's some green newcomer that doesn't already know where she's supposed to go.

Of course, her annoyed mood may be somewhat attributed to the set of clothing Ayumu's presently wearing in public, the exact same lavender kitty pajamas she'd been wearing the night she'd last disappeared. At any rate, she's listening to Amaterasu's shinki prattle on, their demeanor becoming slightly uneasy as Ayumu starts quietly cracking her knuckles, finally faltering completely as she simply walks on ahead without a word or a backwards glance.

Despite being barefoot, Ayumu navigates the fissures in the Western District easily enough and to an outsider's perspective, appears to know exactly where she's going. However, when Ayumu does get to her destination, what appears to be a ruined lot where Vesta's temple had once stood, she stops in cold in her tracks.]

I don't understand it. It's always been here when I've been here before. This has never happened before. But I'm not a shinki this time...

[She's muttering to herself primarily, surveying the vacant lot with a clouded, uncertain expression. If her temple's not here anymore, just where is she supposed to go now?]

God Training

[Eventually Ayumu finds herself wandering into the training hall, still at a loss of what to do in her present predicament. For whatever reason, her temple still has yet to reappear and she's very aware than in any other place, that would be an utterly ridiculous thing to be irritated about. However, she's barefoot, homeless, stuck in her pajamas and more than a little aggravated at having vanished when she'd been in middle of carrying out important business. She'd written her will, organized all the information she'd gathered into documents, had just finished writing a personal letter for Lavi and had been taking a short break before getting the rest of her affairs in order before something else happened.

Even on the best of days, Ayumu doesn't take kindly to having her work interrupted, whether it's by noisy samurai wreaking havoc in her kitchen or by mysterious cosmic forces. There's other annoyances piling up, too. The shrines to the Near Shore appear to be out of service and for reasons unknown, her powers aren't working either.

Who was that kid Chikusa was always fighting with again? Add? Did he break the Far Shore again?

Ayumu has too many of her own questions to pay attention to the ongoing lecture. It's all stuff that she's heard many times over already, anyway. Right now, she has more important things on her mind than offending the Heavens so after sitting on the sidelines, brooding, and not even seeming to listen to a word anyone was saying, Ayumu abruptly stands up whenever someone's speaking and walks away from the gathering.

Rest and Refreshment

[After listlessly wandering around the training hall for a while, Ayumu eventually decides to set up camp in the refreshment area. She can be found sitting at a corner table with a teapot, a cup, and a giant piece of chocolate cake. The scene's peaceful enough at first, at least one of the indigo-and-brown robed shinki decides to crack a joke about Ayumu's pajamas. Either they struck a nerve or it's simply the final straw for Ayumu because her grip on her fork shifts from a normal and relaxed to downright threatening. The bland, polite smile she'd been wearing becomes increasingly tense the longer the teasing goes on.

Someeone might want to interrupt or intervene before Ayumu stabs that fork someplace unfortunate.]

[...Then again, it was fitting to have a shrine in as much disrepair as Ardyn himself. He wasn't someone who deserved or wanted the sort of praise that came with allegedly being a god. Especially not that one.]

[Ardyn didn't look to be listening very carefully to the lecture; he stood at the back of the room apparently idly drawing in a notebook in between taking notes. ...The pen might have sharply cut off a sentence with a look of alarm from Ardyn at the revelation that gods disappeared and reincarnated upon death. He's fine. Definitely.]

[A bit later on found him either twirling a practice sword as though it were second nature, or perhaps gently refusing the offered refreshments with an awkward smile.]

[ This is more in his element. Akechi takes note of the weapons, and he goes for a training sword. He weighs it in his hand--it's nothing like his weapon back in Tokyo, but he supposes it'll do. If he's lucky, he'll have a shinki with a sword form. Regardless, he's not going to say no to anyone who approaches.

[ Akechi's not one to run himself into the ground. It's been quite the day, and he's rather glad that refreshments have been kindly provided. He takes a glass of water (to his dismay, there's no coffee) and a few mochi, with thanks to the ones working so hard to distribute them.

He takes a seat close to the wall, and lets himself think. He's not dead, which is shocking; he's very much alive, and he doesn't intend to squander this chance. Then again... if anyone from his world is here, he may have a significantly more difficult time.

Ah. Well. He'll deal with the problem if it comes to that. ]

[ At first, he thinks this is another trap, a trick, walking through one doorway in his penthouse and stepping out into a much different-looking courtyard. But the door he'd passed through is gone and the area around him is certainly not a familiar city skyscape.

In fact it.... almost looks a little more like home? Well, the flair is all wrong, maybe something more like he would find in Kou, but definitely not very... Duplicitous.

He stops, puzzled, and turns in a slow circle for a moment before spotting some unlucky figure nearby. He strides towards you with a determined look on his face, a finger jabbed in your direction. ]

You there! What's going on here? Where am I? And who are you?

Is this some kind of joke?

[ Sinbad stands beside a bewildered white-robed shinki who is furiously scrambling through her clipboard of paperwork. Before them stretches out a field full of fallen rock walls and collapsed pillars, looking like an utter disaster, as if a battle or something worse took place here. Maybe it had?

He crosses his arms over his chest as he surveys the field with considerable skepticism. ]

Who is this Aphrodite, that his temple has fallen into such disastrous repair?

[ Uh. Guess who has no idea who his god is supposed to be? ]

C; Physical Training
[ There is a man standing in the training yard, suspiciously lacking any sign of weapons. His figure, however, is strange enough in itself to possibly distract from that. he wears only a crimson cloth draped around his hips, his torso deeply marked with dark tattoos and bedecked with gleaming gold jewelry. His hair falls loose and long around him, swaying as if teased by an invisible breeze and if one gets close enough, it's easier to see that his hair... is strange? Almost falling like a cloak of dark raven feathers around him, rather than actual locks of hair.

He doesn't seem to be paying attention to anyone else around him, seeming lost in his own thoughts. But when a tray arrow comes whizzing in his direction after a botched training shot across the dojo, he... casually reaches out and snatches it from the air?

And then glances down at it in his palm, as if bemused.

Holding it up, he glances around him, searching for the source. ]

Did someone lose this?

[ See, Judar was just off, heckling one of the other shinki an sending one of those borderlines to show how the spell was done right. Not that there were many indicators to show that this was the same person Sinbad knew. Aside from his energy being completely different; more half-and-half like Sinbad himself instead of fully fallen.

There was no bulbous braided hair, or the middle eastern clothes. They were cleaner cut, and while there was still open cuts in the shirt, there was a style that was fitting of this world's mortal shore instead of this part of heaven or anything, and quite fashionable. As in, flashy. The hair was smoother and styled with rows of chunky braids that pulled into a french braid that went into a high-seated set of a few plaits.

Constantly hearing the yelling though, those red eyes glanced over to the side and, without any recognition in his face, the nineteen year old gave a 'tch' sound before pointing towards one of the buildings. ]

Either go there if you're a god, or to one of the white-robed people if you're a shinki like the rest of us.

Shinki Training
If this is her new routine, so be it. Ginia sets up a table near the shinki training area filled with a variety of pamphlets and guides. There's the current information pamphlet for shinki, but the old guide is also included. There's also a pamphlet about the shinki shrine, a part-time position flyer for Ebisu's temple, and tourist maps of a few of the major cities in Japan a new god might have a shrine at.

There's also a typed sign taped to the table stating "advanced borderline training available on request" and another tape sign stating "light healing services available." Bottles of water are set out on a chair in front of the table, a few more flats underneath. Ginia, wearing a sharp black suit and a dark green tie, sits behind the table with a laptop open in front of her and her cellphone nearby.

"If you have any questions, feel free to ask." Whenever anyone new approaches the table, Ginia plays the message through her phone, a digitized alto voice speaking for her. It's not that she doesn't trust the old shinki to pass out information, but information slips through the cracks more often than not. Might as well be a ready resource.

Especially since today seems unusually busy.

Definitely unusually busy. Ginia camps out at one of the tables with a plate piled high with sweets and a cup of tea. The higher amount of gods and shinki is usual enough, but Ginia finds herself drawn more to the sight of the indigo-and-brown robed shinki. Who do they serve?

To anyone who looks like they might be looking for somewhere to sit, or is otherwise amiable to conversation, Ginia gestures toward one of the open seats. "Help yourself to the sweets if you want," she'll type and play through her phone. No worry if the offer is rejected, she'll definitely eat them all. "How's your day going?"

[ here is yet another face that you may not recognize. it's one of a young woman who seems to hold herself with poise; whereas some gods may seem to be far off in thought, she's listening very intently during the meeting and can be seen taking notes throughout. however, it's painfully obvious that she doesn't necessarily seem happy to be here. she seems worried. it seems like this one needs some time to digest the information being thrown at her.

after the information is given, hifumi togo can be found off to the side, looking through her notes. she doesn't approach anyone for some time and seems to prefer keeping to herself. perhaps a certain someone (you!) may feel like checking on her...

or maybe she's the one to approach first. after some time passes, hifumi will reach out to anyone who seems available to talk. ]

...Excuse me? [ her voice is quiet. ] I'm sorry to bother you--I just had a few questions...

[ at a later point during the day, hifumi can be found inside of the dojo. but while other people seem to be hard at work, hifumi seems...hesitant to get her toes wet. but it seems like there's something more important on her mind.

she's hoping to find her shinki, and she's asked a few people if they happened to be him...but to no avail. the only thing that's come out of her conquest is embarrassment, unfortunately.

but. she decides to try her luck one more time. she sees a boy around her age--maybe a little older? and he's very tall, too. if this doesn't work out, she'll call it a day and head to the refreshments. maybe he'll just find his way to her temple, sooner or later.

she taps on the stranger's shoulder. ]

[ He'd willingly left Zenith and their nonsense in hopes of returning to Chaldea. Chaldea this is not. His questions had more or less been answered about what he was expected to do, but this was not what he wanted. The ruins shifted into something more suiting the temporary druid -- a small creek running through a forest clearing. Caster shooed the helper away with a dismissive wave. ]

Nothing ever goes the way it's supposed to...Guess I'll make myself at home here.

[ Moderately cranky and not terribly surprised at his god assignment. Someone has a sense of humor. He decides to just sit by the creek, staring at his reflection. Out of the frying pan and into the fire... ]

[ 2. Training ]

[ Caster is beating the stuffing out of one of the training dummies, quite literally. Enthusiastic is an understatement as he whales on it with a borrowed spear. It might not be his spear, but it's still a spear and he missed fighting with it. To his credit, he does stop when approached, backing away from the poor dummy with a grin. The spear rests on his shoulder now. ]

You wanna go? Might be more fun than beating up this thing.

[ Having tired himself out, Caster's content to sit now with a handful of snacks and some water. the shinki's attempts to tease him are met with an irritated glance and a dismissive wave. ]

[Having to deal with losing and gaining gods as often as he has is both wildly frustrating and nerve wracking, and means Raichi's training days are primarily full of physical workouts, rather than fine-tuning his abilities as a shinki. Which, granted, isn't a terrible use of his time, but does leave him feeling like he's not doing nearly enough.

Either way, a good work out should be capped with some good rest and a good meal, right? Sweets... do not make for a 'good meal' by any stretch of the imagination, but free food is not something he's about to complain over. Just gotta find a quiet spot to relax and enjoy it-]

1) an enormous purple-and-white fairytale castle
2) nearly equally enormous solid gold statues of someone rather dashing in a prince costume flanking the doorway of said castle
3) what appears to be a purple-and-gold pirate ship in a lake in the back lawn
4) a spring of holy water welling up in the front lawn that nobody has figured out how to fix or turn into a fountain yet

- then you will be approached by a small purple stuffed goat robot on a wheeled platform. It has a sign suspended over itself: NOT ACCEPTING GUESTS.

[ Despite Hibiki's feelings about Newcomer Day, she has a duty to fulfill (a duty upon which, of course, she decided herself). The Far Shore will never grow in radiance without the guiding hand of true genius, and thus, she must personally ascertain which new gods and shinki merit cultivation and which are better to pretend they don't exist. Except today...is a little different. ]

ANOMALOUS ARRIVALS, YOU SAY?!

[ Hibiki has cornered a brown-robed shinki near the refreshments, the better to confirm a rumor she'd overheard. By screaming at them. Nobly. ]

My temple turned into a thoroughfare because the holes in the Far Shore's system multiplied???!?!?! Do you even possess an administrator?!

Fun fact: one of the dangers of sipping tea on horseback is that there's no way your teacup will survive if you happen to drop it upon hearing your long-lost teammates singing over the feed broadcasted from the spy goat robots you've dispatched throughout the Far Shore. This is a common and relatable enough occurence that it may serve as an object lesson to all reading this. Tea on horseback! Do not do it.

Hibiki, alas, never learns from her mistakes. So completely forgetting she was ever holding a teacup in the first place, she snatches her tablet from where it'd been playing beneath her jacket and stares at it. That - that -

GO BACK, she types as an order to the goat who'd heard the song. GO BACK! ]

You heard that, correct?! That song....

[ Or perhaps she was alone when she heard the song, but she's not alone now. Instead, she's thundering up on you on horseback, Maxie running at full tilt! ]

You're an obstruction! Haaah!

[ She urges her horse onwards.

A giant purple horse just. Jumped clear over your head. Sailing smoothly. Right over. Whee. There it goes.

And it lands in a cloud of dust, continuing towards its goal. Hibiki is staring straight ahead. She may not even know who it is she just hurdled.

It can't be. It can't be!! ]

[ IV. - there is nowhere but here! ]

[ But it is.

While the actual reunion will be left for potential threading with an observer, its fallout...is hard to miss. Overjoyed that Hibiki is not only here, but apparently has been for some time (??) and has found a place for herself where she's welcomed and supported (!!), Fuwari and Falulu can't contain their excitement. If it's been months for their teammate since they've sung together, they can't wait one minute longer. They should sing. Right here. Right now. Outside.

And a strange thing happens. Shikyon Hibiki....accedes.

But on her own terms, of course. Thus it is that a concert stage, complete with full sets, appears to have been erected next to the training hall. Spygoats are dispatched throughout said hall with invitations on platters urging everyone outside immediately for a Super Exclusive Experience. Apparently if you miss this incredible chance, IT WILL NEVER COME AGAIN.

...A chance, it seems, to see Hibiki standing onstage in a top hat and extremely tiny shorts. Fuwari and Falulu are on either side of her, marveling at the illusions she's conjured of their stage costumes. But the show must go on, so once a crowd has gathered, it begins: ]

Everyone~! It's Falulu, Fuwari, and Mahou-chan's reunion show! Thank you for befriending Mahou-chan! Falulu loves you!

The Far Shore is a truly wonderful place! Let the refreshing sounds of our song wrap encouragingly around you, mingled with the spring winds~

[Even without the urging of the spygoats, it's pretty obvious who the stage belongs to. Ginia locks her laptop and throws it in a backpack, hurrying over to catch the show. She's surprised to see others with Hibiki, people she doesn't know but are still familiar. She's played PriPara, scrolled through the characters enough.

So the song too is familiar, but watching the performance, it's truly as it should be. Hibiki doesn't need people from home, but wants matter too, and Ginia's happy things are turning around for her friend. So as a band of spygoats wave their glowsticks, Ginia's happy to take one and wave with them.]

[A - God Training]

[Sitting among the other new gods is a familiar face... but the face is where most of the similarities end. This Add looks like he can actually fucking lift, so a mixup is unlikely to happen anytime soon. The array of six drones hovering around him is ever present, though, and probably generating enough static to ruin the hair of anyone foolish enough to sit next to him (he's not sorry). The circuit-like tattoo on his arm glows faintly as he rotates a pen above his hand with some kind of precise magnetism.

He eventually gets bored of whatever topic the speaker is droning on about (probably something about ethics or the responsibilities of a god or whatever), turning his attention instead to the nearest person.] Hey. You know what any of this shit's about?

[B - Physical Training]

[On his way over to the sparring area, Add is unfortunate enough to wander just a little too close to one of the enchanted dummies. That's what looks like, anyway—he may have actually done it on purpose just to show off, because before the dummy can even land a hit on him he's whirling around to catch it with a tight fist. There's a bright flash and a thunderous crack, and in an instant the entire upper half of the dummy is blown apart and smouldering like it's been struck by lightning.

He holds that position for a few seconds before calmly straightening himself up and nudging the remains of the dummy with his foot. It topples over onto the ground. Add sighs, cracking his knuckles.]

So, who's first? Haven't had a warm up today, so just try not to die too quickly.

But rather than wait around for some mysterious partner to show up for whatever it is they're supposed to be here for, he figures he may as well see what kinds of things are going to be expected of him while he's here. Which turns out to be...

Fighting? With weapons??] Ughh, they can't be serious about this, right? [Still, even with his distasteful tone and expression, he's... at least sort of looking the selection over, like maybe something will jump out at him as a viable option. But, probably not.

The pamphlets, on the other hand, seem like a better starting point. After he's finished his business at the weapons-end of the dojo, he can be found with one of them in hand, reading from it out-loud to himself. It still sounds really unbelievable and suspicious, but at the same time, he can't help but want to at least see how some of this might work.]

... Drawing a line between you and what you want to be kept out... [Easy enough, and...] Line! [... To no avail. This is starting to feel more and more like some kind of bizarre joke.] Hnn...

The teardrop marks on his cheeks are gone, however, and she recalls in that strange parallel memory that he hadn't recognized her.

After a few minutes of bewildered staring, Ayumu finally approaches him. She's not really at her most presentable right now, with her bare feet, kitty pajamas, and disheveled hair. Ayumu doesn't even have an eyepatch on, her disfigured brow and bad eye obvious to see. Nervously, she rubs her crooked left wrist somewhat self-consciously as she calls out in a soft, unusually tentative voice.]

[ The information that the gods were given seemed really off since Lala had to walk to the gathering and couldn't just "teleport", there wasn't any new sort of power or skill given to her either. ]

No one seems to know quite what to make of the strange, banana-shaped "god" that arrived with everyone. It doesn't speak, and in fact, the only sound that seems to come from it is a rhythmic, almost techno-sounding noise that drones from it almost endlessly.

Once it's left to its own devices, it just starts wandering around, aimlessly. The way it stares at others about the ruins... is a bit creepy, as even without eyes, there's something inhumanly predatory about it. But it's so ridiculous, right? How could such a thing be threatening.

In any case, it seems to walk through solid objects strewn about the ruins, and when it steps on grass, there's leavings of fine, black dust left behind by each of its footfalls.

[God training]

Yes, that is a giant banana sitting cross legged on the floor with everyone else. The noise it makes is the same as it made before, and whenever someone asks it to stop, the creature acts as if it didn't hear them.

Once it's given material to take notes with, it starts trying to pick up the pen... only for it to fall through its stumpy hand. Therefore, rather than listening to anyone, it gets stuck in an endless loop of doing that, with it being unclear of whether it's listening at all.

[Physical Training]

Now this seems to be the banana creature's thing. It doesn't wander about lost, and when presented with things like the targets, it begins attacking them with machine-like precision. Whether it be done with energy blasts from its strange, crystalline eyes, or swipes with the extending, white, whip-like "organ" that just seems to deploy from out of its body, it doesn't miss its mark.

As it successfully hits another objective, it lets out a screech and waves its arms, almost as if it were celebrating victory. Is it happy? Or does it want another challenge?

[ Here's the thing. The banana is so good at what it does that it's scaring everybody else off, and as they all run, they might start looking like targets.

All except for one girl, who stands in front of the next target with her arms spread out. ] These are for everyone to practice with. Wait your turn and let everyone else have a try, okay~?

[ She's not mad! Just...firm. ]

Kirika is a bit morose as she sits and listens in god training. Being who she is... she isn't exactly the type to sit still, and the longer it goes on, the worse she gets at taking notes, paying attention, and sitting still. Ultimately, she spends most of her time doodling.

She's troubled, however. Being away from home, away from her best friend, and everyone else... to say the young girl is troubled would be an understatement. And then there's everything else that came with all this. Being a god? She'd dreamed of becoming a "shinigami", but this "Azrael" was an actual angel of death. Was she actually going to be expected to reap people's souls?

Finally, she couldn't take it anymore. In the middle of someone's explanation, Kirika stands up, raising her hand, and speaking up: "I have a question, dess! I'm supposed to be an angel of death - does that mean I have to carry people's souls to the underworld?! That sounds like something a bad guy would do, dess!"

Help her.

[Rest and Refreshment]

Now this is more like it. Good food, a chance to relax... it's all a great way of soothing Kirika's rattled nerves. She doesn't have to worry about being in a strange new place, all she has to do is eat good food until she feels like her stomach might burst.

She ends up collecting a large amount of sweets from the shinki, until she has an actual pile of them. Once she has them, she sits down and begins scarfing them down... though it may be more accurate to say she's inhaling them.

"These are so good, dess!" she cries out, with her mouth full. "I feel so much better...!"

[A House Is Not A Home]

One of the new gods is an imposing looking individual, covered head to toe in brilliant golden armor. That is to say, he is the golden armor, with a mechanical body inhabited by a human consciousness. For his introduction to his new surroundings, he acts mostly aloof, coldly watching everything.

Eventually, he's left to wander about these ruins, studying them. This was what was left when a god was sent back home, hm? How strange and interesting. He mentally catalogs everything he sees... until things around him start to change.

The part of the ruins rise up around him, taking the form of a laboratory. A lot of advanced machinery and computer systems are collected around the room, and if he had eyes, his would light up at the sight of them.

"My my," he says. "How fascinating. I wonder if all of these things are permanent."

Despite his advanced robotic body, the golden-armored man is content to simply observe everyone rather than show off his combat prowess. He's doing what he did in the ruins... watching and cataloging everything he sees. He's collecting information about the abilities of different gods and shinki.

Eventually, he deigns to introduce himself, calmly strolling forward with his arms behind his back. "Greetings," he says to whomever has caught his attention. "My name is Tenjuuro Banno. It seems I'm the god 'Perdix' here. And who might you be?"

Perdix. The name triggers some small bit of resentment in him. Not a god, but a mythological figure, and not even a hero at that. But he does feel some small degree of appropriateness in how he is matched to someone who was betrayed by his colleague... or at least, that's what this Banno thinks happened, from his perspective.

Kadoya Tsukasa was no stranger to suddenly waking up in a new world with a whole bunch of new rules to follow. What he was a stranger to was other people who were use to strangers waking up to their world enough so they actually tried handing out pamphlets and talked about how things were not going as scheduled. Usually that was were Tsukasa decided he had enough and left, but he was feeling particularly annoyed by the worlds in general, so instead he just wandered off and attempted to take pictures.

That was what he was trying to do now, the magneta camera in his hands making a soft clicking sound as the picture he was attempting - a small purple goat on wheels zooming by - was interrupted by this guy. Tsukasa looked at him for a moment. He sighed, rolled his eyes and let his camera go to hang from its strap over his shoulder.

"Kadoya Tsukasa," he said, and then pauses as if he expects some kind of reaction.

[If it sounds judgmental, well. That's because she is. Yukari's pile of rubble has reformed into a small pond. With some shrubbery. Not very interesting, even if it gets a mild glare for her, like something was mocking her.

She gives a light sigh, putting a hand to her cheek.]

A shame. I really thought this would be more... interesting, by appearances, when I first arrived...

[Yukari got bored of the God Training very fast, monotone is not her speed at all. Being introduced to the physical training though, she... laughs, holding hands behind her back and... begins to walk either off to the side to observe, or just to leave period.]

Assuredly there has to be something else around here...

[Which results in her basically hanging around the refreshment table.

[ A girl with too much hair is also looking at the sweets, but from the plate she's carrying, she's planning on eating some of them. She leans over, and - ]

[ An unspeakably elegant individual is here to brush that hair back, preventing green curls from encountering a bowl of melted chocolate. ] Mind the buffet.

[ Oh joy. Yukari has encountered a fairy-tale couple. ]

[For Dante's part, 1) he didn't hang around his so-called temple for long, whatever it turned to. He's sure not telling you what happened until he figures out what the hell is going on here.

2) He didn't even show up for God Training. If someone's got a problem with it, they can bring it to his face.

PHYSICAL TRAINING THOUGH... that's a little more interesting. Just a little. He eyes the training dummies a bit, swinging his giant broadsword Rebellion around like it's nothing. But... he shrugs, instead propping it up onto his shoulder.]

Last thing I want is a pile of straw that ain't gonna put up much of a fight. [He looks around.] Anyone else got anything better up their sleeve?

[He has a weird way of saying hi to people.

Regardless, after whatever happens there, he does eventually drift to the refreshments. Disappointed at the lack of pizza, he leans up against the nearest wall.]

So... I'm not exactly into the whole "randomly abducted to be someone's good little soldier" thing, myself.

[Running the info booth is a useful service, but even Ginia needs a stretch break. Checking out physical training is the best way to see who is around and what people can do. She raises a brow at the guy with the giant sword. She's learned her lesson in sparring against others, but there's something she can still help out with.
