She was decked out in full Symphogear armor, and had already transformed her Armed Gear into a set of pistols. She stood there, watching for any sign of trouble as they talked.
"But be prepared, I'm starving today."

Not that she wants to sink access to a free meal, mind you. She's also transformed, arms crossed and leaning up against a wall.
"It is after all what we are here for - be it in this world, or our own."

The procession begins with music. The steady beat of drums, the trill of flutes, music drifts from within the grounds of the shrine as the procession begins to wind out. Musicians, dancers, people on horseback, priests and miko, there's a grand line ahead before the portable shrine winds its way out on the backs of hundreds of people. It's gold and glittering and large and brimming with divinity and the perfect target for ayakashi.
Borderlines spring up across the path, already flushing off a few minor ayakashi that have managed to cling to people outside the shrine. They skitter around, confused by the borderline and thwarted by further attempts to latch onto someone else and pass through.
It doesn't take long for more troublesome ayakashi to show up. Cicada-like ayakashi ranging from regular bug size to the size of dinner plates begin to fly around and land on rooftops. Their buzzing begins to drone out the music, discordant notes popping in as people lose their beat or miss notes. Borderlines fly as the slashes disrupt them and scatter them into the air. Time to begin rending.

"Senpai, go!" she calls out. "We'll cover you!"

"REND!"

The ayakashi try to flee as they're cut down, pinned off by the borderlines penning them in. Black dust drifts and fades as the two gods rend ayakashi after ayakashi. Even as the cicadas thin out, more ayakashi begin to stir. Jellyfish ayakashi with long trailing tentacles drift into sight in the air as mice ayakashi scurry along the ground.

Chris settles her gaze on the jellyfish ayakashi, and makes a face. "Way too early to be reminded of squishy tentacle things," she mutters, before focusing on those. As she does, she turns to Tsubasa.
"You and your new shinki holding up okay, senpai?"
no subject
"Fine, yes. Although I am beginning to wonder if we will ever be in the vicinity of a normal parade here..."

Besides, definitely better knowing ayakashi are the root of the problem than the cultists.
Ginia lands on a rooftop and slams a borderline down as tentacles flail weakly at the shining wall. The ayakashi drifts through the air, the twitching eyes on the ends of the tentacles stare at her. Ew.

She turns to Tsubasa, and smirks. "I think these things are pretty much cursed, senpai," she said. "Or we are. But hey, it's not like we aren't used to that kind of thing. Look at what happens every time you hold a big concert."

"Not every ti--"
Enough of a distraction for a loose ayakashi to swoop past her, slamming into her wrist and sending her soulless shinki spinning out from her grasp. She takes a leap back and curses. "Dammit!"

Ginia whistles sharply and mouths out "Name me!" It's an offer she's given before. She doesn't know if Tsubasa and Chris talked about it and if things are okay, but better to ask for forgiveness than deal with an injured god? She doesn't doubt Chris and Luger as a team, and she's a good team with Tsubasa, but right now they need all rending power on hand. With things already this busy at the start, things can only get even more hectic from here. In her mind, taking a name and helping Tsubasa out is the most logical course of action.

Ginia's offer surprises her... but she believes it's not something she should speak up about now, given the situation. In the long run, it's probably a good idea anyway.
