What: Nanako is hosting a Magical Girl Anime Night and Sleepover! Everyone is invited!

A. We're on the case!

[ Every since Nanako's conversation with Hibiki a few weeks before, she'd been on a mission to locate the entire series of Magical Detective Loveline to have a showing at her temple for friends who had never seen it before. Which is, in her opinion, a Great Tragedy. But finding out that several of her other friends also liked watching similar things, she has since decided to make an entire Event of it.

Temple Nanshe is decorated in a possibly absurd amount of Pink and pastel rainbows for this anime night/sleepover. One of the rooms has been prepared with giant cushions and pillows and blankets for people to sprawl and be able to watch the anime on the large TV set against one of the walls. There's plenty of room for everyone to get comfortable however they like.

The dining room table is laid out with a variety of brightly colored foods including cupcakes cookies and candies, as well as an ice-cream bar with all sorts of colorful toppings. Nanako might have taken this whole Magical Girl theme a little too far, but she's clearly had fun preparing everything for her friends so they could enjoy themselves and tonight's Magical Adventure.

Either way, the Temple is opened up and decked out and ready to host all of Nanako's friends - even the ones she might not have made yet. In honor of the occasion, the hosting goddess herself is dressed up in her very own Magical Detective Loveline cosplay, which people who have known her for a while may have seen her dressed in before.

Show up, mingle, munch, and make yourselves comfy! ]

B. Stop or I'll put a cap in ya!

[ Anyone who has known Nanako for any amount of time has probably heard that Magical Detective Loveline is her absolute favorite person and she takes her fangirling of said Magical Detective very seriously. Which is why she's hosting tonight's party, after learning that several of her friends have never been lucky enough to experience such prime entertainment.

The series itself is about a pink-haired girl who transforms into a magical detective to solve crimes and mysteries in a Sherlock Holmes fashion along with her dapper dog sidekick, who wears a monocle, top hat and cape.

If you weren't expecting the resulting magical shenanigans and ridiculous mysteries that accompany such a premise, you are clearly in need of more magical girl animes in your life. Either way, Nanako hopes you enjoy watching the adventures of her favorite hero with her! ]

C. Sweet Dreams!

[ Knowing the anime viewing could run late into the night, Nanako's temple has been prepared for an all-night sleepover for those who just want to crash after the anime ends. There are bedrolls and futons available to be laid out in the large open living area where they'd all gathered to watch the anime, but there are also several guest bedrooms available, as Nanako's temple is set up like a Japanese B&B. There are hot springs outside should you like to soak and relax before sleeping. Feel free to seek out Nanako or one of her shinki if you need a little help in where to get settled.

[ LOVELINE, BEHIND YOU!

Hibiki cuts off her statement to gasp in fear. The goats jump, too. What a cliffmaa-nger! ]

[Oh no! Loveline!

And now it's the end... No wait. It was just a trick! The story is continuing!]

I thought she was in real trouble that time!

Hmph. A common trick.

[ ....If she lets out her own breath while sipping her tea, it’s like it didn’t happen. Yes?? ]

You were scared too miss! [He saw! You can't hide behind your tea forever Hibiki!

There! Loveline is giving chase now, she's got the upper hand. These bad guys are going down for certain!]

Hardly.

[ The lady doth protest too much, methinks. ]

You were! I saw!

[He grins a smug smile and leans back, what is going to happen next? Is Loveline going to catch the baddie?]

[ Hibiki sniffs again, making a great study of her tea. On the screen, Loveline makes a comeback! Time for her finishing attack, hitting the bad guy with her powers of love~!

This sequence has looked the same, frame for frame, every episode thus far, but it still holds Hibiki’s interest. ]

[And Romeo's! It was so good how she managed to beat the bad guy each time! Just through love! Every time!]

This bits my favourite! [He stands up so he can mimic her twirl.]

....Your arm is off by six degrees.

[ That just

sort of popped out, there.

Does she know she said it? ]

Six degrees? [What does that even mean? He blinks at her and tries to move his arm, was it wrong? He had thought he had it just like Detective Loveline!]

[ THERE IS A DEEP SIGH AND A DEEPER SIP.

Hibiki will have to encourage Elfnein to engage in solitary genius pursuits the day before filming for the plan that is forming in the back of her head. ]

[Romeo blinks in confusion for a moment before casting it aside as one of the many strange things about Hibiki and twirling again. This is a really fun dance!] It's just like when we danced together!

[ Hibiki scoffs, which is a slightly different exhalation than a sniff or a snort. Arrogance requires versatile vocal cords. ] As if I’d move in such an unwieldy fashion.

[ At least Loveline is almost done transforming. He’ll cease when she does, correct....? ]

You did though! We danced together and it was fun! You like dancing miss Hibiki! Elfnein told me!

[Loveline is indeed now transformed! Romeo flung his arms up and flopped back onto the sofa.]

[ Hibiki bounces in place as the cushions settle. Not, mind you, of her own volition. ]

My dance compared to yours is like the difference between diamonds and hamster wheels.

[ Now, hush. The dazzling spectacle of a magical girl fight is starting. ]

You don't got to be mean all the time, miss Hibiki. [He sighs and concentrates on the show, detective Loveline is at it again! She is going to beat all the bad guys because she is the hero!]

Hmph.

[ Hibiki prefers to remain intent on the screen, sitting up more as Loveline twirls through battle.....and then relaxing as it becomes clear she will, in fact, save the day.

This story knows its place. All is well. ]

[He made no comment after that, just watching Loveline as she fought bad guys, winning every time and saving the day! She was the best magical detective!

He's a little worried about Hibiki, she seems even worse at friends today than normal but maybe the lessons of Detective Loveline will sink in!]

[ Being good at tropes sometimes makes people bad at friends. It is called “heckling” and it is a thing Romeo is better off not learning how to do. Hibiki is an expert, though.....

....but she also loves television. So she nods as Loveline saves the day. ]

Yes. The stronger love always triumphs.

[ YOUR MAJESTY, STOP LOOKING SO PURE AMORE SMUG. ]

Yes it does!

[He doesn't seem to mind the smugness, so caught up in the wonder that is Detective Loveline.]

[ Hibiki settles back to watch with Romeo, all right with the world.

This particular program.....isn’t bad. ]
