Hiyoko is a busy girl...
Who: Hiyoko and Nageki/ Hiyoko and Sheryl/ Hiyoko and Open
What: Talking to animals, a maybe!date, and who even knows what else.
When: The weekend of April 15th-17th
Where: Meilikki's temple, several places around the near shore, and the zoo.
Warnings: Hiyoko is weird.
Nageki-
[On Saturday, Hiyoko picked up Nageki right on time at his new god's temple. She's got her hair pulled back with a cute flower clip and made sure to wear something relatively nice. She still doesn't know if this counts as a date though, so she didn't bring flowers.
He wouldn't want flowers anyway. Do they make book bouquets? Their first stop is a little cafe where they can chat. But she does have something a little more exciting planned for later. It takes a little more effort than she likes to get somebirdie at the cafe to come take their order, but at least nobirdie will listen in on their conversation.]
I'll have a cappuccino please!
[And a big smile in Nageki's direction.]
Order whatever you want, okay?
Sheryl-
[Finally, a chance to show off her magnificent palace! It's got so many wonderful features her glorious abode back home lacked. Like an actual door.
Yeah, Sheryl may be a little disappointed to discover that this 'palace' is actually a rustic hunting lodge. It's very well crafted though, as befits a goddess of the hunt. And the view overlooking the expanse of rocky wilderness is impressive. Considering Hiyoko used to live in an actual cave, this is definitely a step up. And since Sheryl wanted to meet some animals, she's got one of the bears up here and also a wood grouse. They can find an elk later if she wants to chat with one. Or if she's hungry. Hiyoko is determined to be a good hostess.]
Hi! Welcome to Mielikki-land!
[That's... probably not it's official name. Hiyoko waves cheerfully. The bear copies her after she nudges it.]
Open-
[So after a certain conversation, Hiyoko is curious about what her newfound powers could be used for. And whether animals in the zoo enjoy their lazy but uninteresting lifestyle. So on Sunday, she's taking some time to visit the local zoo and find out for herself. Which means it's a good thing people don't notice her. Because she sure is just sitting in front of one of the cages, deep in conversation with a tiger. If Kija does decide to tag along, they can totally hit up the bear enclosure though.]
I mean, security is a thing I completely understand. Nobody wants to go hungry. But, c'mon, be honest. Don't you ever miss stalking your helpless prey though the jungle?
[Anybirdie is welcome to bother her. If you... actually want to talk to the crazy girl.]

[Give her a second for that to process.]
You're from.... outer space?
[Holy crap she is a space cowboy!!]
no subject
[Sheryl grins, lifting a finger close to her cheek. The most simplistic explanation, but she'll take it.]
Is it that surprisingly?
no subject
[Hiyoko asks the important questions.]
no subject
No way! It's nothing like that. Depending on the fleet, we actually eat regular food just like people from Earth. The ships that I've lived in are like a tiny Earth in some ways, only with an artificial sky.
no subject
[The food in space is important okay?]
I bet that's delicious!
[Out of this world, even.]
no subject
[Hiyoko must really like udon if she's excited about it. Sheryl's amusement is still there, however.]
Is that your favorite food?
no subject
[Essentially, whenever she has the money to spare. Not that instant udon is expensive, so she actually gets to have it quite a bit.]
What's your favorite food? Some kind of exotic alien cuisine?
no subject
[That Hanami party was one of Sheryl's many highlights during her stay at Takamagahara, pink noodles included. She shakes her head in response, a soft huff of breath out of her.]
No, not at all! It's strawberry pie.
[Yes, dessert. Sheryl has a sweet tooth.]
no subject
[And she actually missed it? Hiyoko feels like crying right now. Heaven has done a lot of unfair things lately, but this one really takes the cake! Or.. the udon. Whatever.]
no subject
[An odd tradition to a space woman like Sheryl, but a cute one. She takes a quick look at Hiyoko and— oh, no...]
Oh, but I think Tokyo still has those homemade udon kits with the food coloring. I'm not sure.
[Time to give Hiyoko some hope (???)]
no subject
[She pouts until Sheryl brings up the homemade kits.]
Really? Then I could try pink udon after all?
[Hiyoko is a girl with simple tastes.]
no subject
[She pauses, a thoughtful look briefly crossing her face.]
Besides, it's still spring. As long as the cherry blossoms continue to bloom, you can still eat pink food.
no subject
[Hiyoko is super stoked now.]
My course is clear. Before the season ends, I will taste the rainbow of Udon!
[Whatever that means.]
no subject
[The more Hiyoko speaks, the more Sheryl finds her to be super cute! She chuckles under her breath.]
Oh, if only rainbow-colored carrots actually exist in this planet.
no subject
[Says the girl who wants multi colored udon.]
no subject
I already checked. Carrots that are the size of small houses would be difficult to miss.
no subject
no subject
[A brief pause.]
Special carrots grown by giant aliens with pointy ears, in layman's terms.
no subject
[She is learning so much today.]
Do they taste really different from regular carrots?
no subject
[She chuckles, then turns her head to one side.]
I'm not really sure. I may have seen them a few times, but I haven't really tried them out myself.
no subject
no subject
[A pause as she looks around.]
We're going to continue with the tour, right? I'm interested in seeing the rest of your home.
no subject
[She'd been distracted by colorful food.]
What do you want to see next? The fire pit? The windows? Or maybe the fantastic view on the balcony?
[All of those are about even in terms of impressiveness, right?]
no subject
[As someone who's seen artificial nature created in space, Sheryl would like to see more of the real thing.]
no subject
[And seeing the balcony necessitates a quick tour through the house. It's almost entirely wood surfaces and the decorations favor animal skins and antlers. But there is a huge fireplace in the living room that looks very cozy and a lot of nice views through the windows.
But those vistas pale in comparison to the one from the small upstairs balcony.]
Tada~!
[The dramatic gesture may have actually been appropriate in this case. It overlooks a small forest that rolls through a valley to several rocky hills in the distance. Calling them mountains would be too generous, but it definitely gives the impression of some northern expanse of wilderness. Sharp eyes might spot a herd of elk making their way through the forest. And there are several flocks of glossy birds with fanning tails.]
