Summary: The Heavens don't like things being cluttered, so it's time to clean up a little bit.







Main Hall

While the main hall of the Heavens seems spotlessly clean at all times, that's not the case at all. In fact, it's been at least a decade since the last time they actually cleaned everything out properly. There are a lot of hidden closets and back rooms that have layers of dust and dozens of boxes filled with nothing but junk. Who knows, though! You might find something interesting and useful in there along with all the garbage.

Suprises

Unfortunately, some of the older temples on the Far Shore seem to have some interesting surprises tucked away, ranging from cursed artifacts all the way to magical creatures locked up in long-forgotten rooms. You are free to be creative with this as a way to get your characters into trouble while cleaning.

Complimentary Dinner

After all of your hard work, you deserve to have some tasty food and refreshing beverages. So the Heavens have provided that for you, so that you can wind down after a long day. It's not as fancy as the banquets they often put on, but there is a nice array of food and drinks for everyone to enjoy.

Counselling

As usual, there is a white-robed shinki bearing the gold chrysanthemum of Amaterasu sitting at a table in the Main Hall. There is a small sign that denotes her as the counselling shinki. Anyone is welcome to approach her, and she will smile serenely at anyone passing by as well.

[Main Hall]

[This silent protag has a cloth wrapped around his face, rubber gloves on, duster in his back pocket, and a bucket with other supplies. He came prepared when he heard there was cleaning to do! He's picked the first unoccupied room and had started doing his thing. Removing items from shelves to clean them, banishing cobwebs, you name it!

Of course he wouldn't mind help, and is more than happy to help in case his room was done. He'll even lend anyone who needs it some cleaning supplies!]

[Surprises]

[Ludger has found an large, fancily decorated pot. Said pot was seemingly normal until he touches it. He's thankful that his hands weren't closer to the rim as a set of teeth sprouted and tried to take them off at the wrist.

Pots aren't supposed to do that.

Since he's not sure if this was a valuable item or not, he's hesitant to destroy it. Instead he's standing in the door frame to ward off anyone who's curious about the very strange clanking noises coming from this room.]

[Seeing Ludger standing there guarding a doorway is...surprising, to say the least. Roxas takes in this sight with the same ponderous silence he does many things, assessing his shinki's choice of activity and listening to the noises drifting from the room. Is he trying to protect other people from something in there?

Deciding that there's nothing for it but to investigate for himself, he marches right up to his shinki and looks up at him]

Is something wrong, Ludger?

[Ludger looks behind him into the room. Wait.. is that pot trying to move towards him? That might pose even more of a problem.

He turns to his god and nods. Clearly he's panicked. Maybe Roxas knows what to do. Is there a way to defeat it without breaking it? He'll just have to wait and see.]

There's a possessed pot.

[With teeth. He should have added that part.]

[cloak]

[He's noticing that approaching pot, nudging closer so his head is ducked under one of Ludger's arms to get a better look at the thing. He's seen Heartless that looked like objects before]

Possessed?

[Roxas repeats the word dubiously, testing it out like some new and foreign dialect.

He's also summoning his Keyblades...]

[The pain of having a short god. Ludger is tempted to just pick Roxas up and place him well away from the room. Would that get him in trouble? Maybe.

Instead he gently moves his arm in front of Roxas and gently pushes him back outside.]

It's not an ayakashi.

[cloak]

I couldn't do much about an ayakashi with Keyblades.

[Which is to say he understands what it isn't, but not what it is]

What if it's a threat?

[Ludger thinks about for a moment before pulling out a gun. He turns to the pot and shoots the ground in front of it. The thing seems to have enough sense to know when it's in danger since it awkwardly scuttle back to a corner.

Teeth are still gnashing, and it might just be biding its time for the next attack.

It's not destroyed but still a threat... Do they really have to break the pot at this rate?]

[cloak]

You can't stand guard here forever...

[That's too much for the Heavens to expect of Ludger, on top of being both limiting and dull. While the thing might understand a threat and retreat from it, that doesn't mean the problem is resolved.

If it's only neutralized when someone's around to attack it, they'd have to have someone here all the time.

But he thinks there might be another answer]

I could lock this door, so it can't get out.

[He holds up a Keyblade demonstratively]

[Look. Ludger would stand guard long enough to figure out how to solve this problem. Which would either be lightning quick or take a while.

And then there's the giant key.

.... Ludger steps aside with a sigh and nods. He doesn't even have anything close to that. Here's to hoping no one unlocks the door anytime soon.]

[cloak]

[It's probably take another Keyblade to unlock the door, or that's what Roxas is banking on. He shuts the door once Ludger's moved away from it, taking a half-step back himself to tap the doorknob.

A soft metallic click follows, and he dismisses his weapons]

That should do it.

[And with the matter hopefully addressed, he looks his shinki over with a quick up-and-down motion of his hooded head]

You're not hurt, are you?

Surprises

[Ross wasn't particularly interested in cleaning, but that noise was a different matter. The fact that Ludger was standing in the way of that noise instead of trying to leave the scene of the crime, so to speak, was another point of interest.]

Smashing things is a funny way of cleaning up.

[That was a complete shot in the dark, but maybe the subsequent reaction would tell him something.]

[Ludger winces a little at the accusation. That's the opposite of what he was trying to do! See? He's even going to move aside to show the deadly pot-

Oh. Oh no. It's gotten closer. Why is it moving towards them? There's a look of indecision on Ludger's face. He's really, really trying for a non-violence-won't-get-him-in-trouble approach. Else he'd just shoot it.]

[shiitan]

[Haha. That reaction didn't help him much, but it was sure amusing. It was just a shame that it only lasted until he saw the pot moving around. Since Ross had no idea about the previous incident that almost resulted in Ludger losing a hand, he probably wasn't as concerned as he should have been.]

Did you put something in that pot?

[He would much rather have that be the reason instead of say...an ayakashi or something similar.]

[He shakes his head. Ludger wouldn't harm anyone like that!]

It's possessed!

[As soon as that's said, the pot makes a angry rattling noise when it falls over. The teeth shift to grip the ground so it can drag itself over to the two men now. Much faster than wobbling.]

[shiitan]

[Whoa. Seeing a pot with teeth was a little alarming. ...That being said, he did get a twisted sort of amusement out of seeing the angry rattling and the sheer amount of effort being displayed.]

Even if it is possessed, we're fine as long as it can't get over here.

[To demonstrate his point, Ross snapped his fingers and teleported the pot farther away into the room.]

[That is a pretty useful ability. The pot doesn't not seem happy as it chatters even louder at them. It's not going to give up! Once again it's trying its best to come at them.

Ludger sighs and lets his shoulders drop. It's not like he's capable of sealing or purifying this angry pot.]

[shiitan]

[For just a second, Ross was tempted to let the pot come a little closer this time. Everyone had quirks that they found endearing, and for Ross seeing that pot try so hard was it.]

If we lead it to someone who could do something about this, it'd probably follow us the whole way.

[soindebt]

[..... as messed up as this could possibly be, especially since this pot might figure out how to move faster, what other choice do they have? Ludger would try and pick it up, but who knows if that thing has more teeth somewhere else on its body.]

Right. Let's go.

[Did someone call for a curious bystander?

Rise needed a bit of a break, and after grabbing a water bottle, she had gotten curious about the rest of the place and begun to explore.

Which means finding one particular shinki standing in the doorway of the room he was cleaning. And while she can hear the menacing pot inside, she's pretty oblivious.]

Ludger-saaan~ Hey! How's the cleaning going, hmmm?

[soindebt]

[Rise! He hasn't seen her in a while! Ludger gives her a nervous smile, trying to very gently stop her from going into the room. Behind him the chattering gets much louder.

Ludger looks over his shoulder and stares. Oh... the pot is much closer than it was before. Not a good thing... Let's hope Rise doesn't notice his panic.]

[tofus]

[Ludger, she's a performer by trade. Even if she doesn't have her memories, she can realize a fake smile when she sees one.

Someone isn't convinced, and her growing curiousity over what's happening in the room isn't helping her either. After a few seconds, she's trying to move herself around him to get a glimpse in the room.]

Huh? What's all that noise? Did something happen?

[soindebt]

[He sighs and wraps his arm around her waist to keep Rise from getting into the room. He doubts she has any power to stop the pot either.]

Possessed pot.

[Ludger doesn't know if it's a ayakashi or jut a simple monster.]

[tofus]

[Ah, getting awfully close there, Ludger! She squirms a little at the grab until the reason dawns on her.

Shiiiiit, that's one crazed pot. She'll just hang out here in his arm right now, staring at the pot when she can see it.]

A really possessed pot from the sounds of it. Did it attack you?

[soindebt]

[Nodding, Ludger sighs softly. He didn't get hurt if that's what you're worried about. He just....

There's a reason he doesn't want to attack back.]

I don't want to break the pot.

[tofus]

[She might be looking at him like he grew a second head. He doesn't look hurt, but if it attacked him, why is he so hesitant?]

Did... someone tell you not too? A lot of this stuff looks abandoned to be honest.

[Plus its possessed. Why not just get rid of it?]
