Summary: The Heavens don't like things being cluttered, so it's time to clean up a little bit.







Main Hall

While the main hall of the Heavens seems spotlessly clean at all times, that's not the case at all. In fact, it's been at least a decade since the last time they actually cleaned everything out properly. There are a lot of hidden closets and back rooms that have layers of dust and dozens of boxes filled with nothing but junk. Who knows, though! You might find something interesting and useful in there along with all the garbage.

Suprises

Unfortunately, some of the older temples on the Far Shore seem to have some interesting surprises tucked away, ranging from cursed artifacts all the way to magical creatures locked up in long-forgotten rooms. You are free to be creative with this as a way to get your characters into trouble while cleaning.

Complimentary Dinner

After all of your hard work, you deserve to have some tasty food and refreshing beverages. So the Heavens have provided that for you, so that you can wind down after a long day. It's not as fancy as the banquets they often put on, but there is a nice array of food and drinks for everyone to enjoy.

Counselling

As usual, there is a white-robed shinki bearing the gold chrysanthemum of Amaterasu sitting at a table in the Main Hall. There is a small sign that denotes her as the counselling shinki. Anyone is welcome to approach her, and she will smile serenely at anyone passing by as well.

[ Listening in... ] Ehhhh, so you're pretty knowledgeable about this sort of thing, aren't you?

[ She's impressed! And then she laughs. ] So-- go ahead? Why don't you try one on!

[fullcowl]

[He snaps out of the mumbling when she addresses him again.] Not necessarily armor, just how people in it tend to move.

They seem like they're mostly built for adults. I think just the gauntlets would fit.

[He'll pull them off of the armor and test them out.]

Kinda stiff.

[miraculo]

[ Whoa whoa. ] Hey, you can't just put them on without striking a pose! [ She encourages. ]

[fullcowl]

A pose?

[Uh... He'll make one as if he's punching something.]

How's that?

[miraculo]

[ . . . ]

--With more oomphf! [ Here here she'll demonstrate, throwing her first up into the air.

And she too looks decided weak doing so, because her arms are skinny and let's face it she doesn't look like the fighter-type. But! Her spirit is strong and true! ] Because this-- this is your collection. You've inherited it. It's your legacy. You must take up the mantel to respect it, as your past self has done, and show that you are worthy of carrying the burden of this equipment.

[ Have another pose. ] Not because it may be heavy, but because each and every piece must have a story behind it-- a reason why it was brought here. [ And another! ] And although you may not know it yourself... someone, somewhere slaved away to make all of this armor. Someone, somewhere wore it to embark on a quest or battle or duel to protect those he or she cared for!

That is why you [ She points directly at him. ] must wear is proudly, even if it doesn't fit!

[fullcowl]

[He'll do a more enthusiastic fist pump. He's actually done a lot of punching over these few months, so it's surprisingly good this time around.]

I'll keep them, but I'm a hand to hand combatant. And one of my hero costume's main points is to keep me properly agile. I would be strong enough to wear the armor- but at the cost of mobility, which isn't a good trade off.

I'm better in a fight when I can move around.

[miraculo]

[ ....Huh.

This kid knows his stuff. She tilts her head, now looking at him in a different light. ] ...Heyyy, that's right, that's right! Good thinking!

[ She beams. ] I'm not familiar with the god you now are, but... if you can pick out agility over cool points, that's very smart of you!

[fullcowl]

[He laughs a little, awkwardly.]

Nobody's really familiar with Aidos. She's a pretty unknown goddess, all things considered.

But at home I've done a decent amount of battle training.

[miraculo]

[ There's a distinct "ooooooh" coming from her. ] So-- so! What sort of combatant are you? Martial arts? Karate, maybe?

[fullcowl]

I don't know if I'd call it anything as structured as martial arts. It's whatever works for me- so it's mostly kicking, punching and flipping opponents?

It works, but I haven't been formally trained so... I guess you'd call that brawling?

[miraculo]

[ Huuuuh. ] Like... the "freestyle" of a swimming race-- but fighting? [ Trying to picture it. ]

[fullcowl]

Uh... A little, I guess? It's not like people judge fights. I just need to subdue the villain and not get myself or anybody else killed in the process.

[miraculo]

Oh, I see. [ Interesting, interesting! ] The important part is that even if you're stopping the villain, you're not the judge or the jury, either. [ Nodnod. ] I've always wondered if heroes knew that. [ In stories sometimes they can take it a bit far!

Anyway, she smiles. ] Ah, but we ought to get back to cleaning, shouldn't we?

[fullcowl]

Every hero at home knows that. We're there to go beyond what most people can handle, but we're not the entirety of the law. We capture the villains and the courts take it from there.

[As serious as this topic is to him, he'll nod and pick up a duster.]

We should. It looks like nobody's been in here for years.

[Almost everything's caked in a thick layer of dust.]

[miraculo]

[ Sanae will begin to fly up to one of the suits of armor. ] Hmmm.... I'll start on this side. And you can start on that side. We can meet at the end of this hall.

[ Oh! She smiles a little smug smile. ] Maybe make it a race?

You can fly!

[He considers it for a moment, if he used One for All he'd be able to get to most of these things. But she has an advantage as somebody who can fly.

But if they raced the place definitely wouldn't get cleaned very thoroughly.]

[fullcowl]

It's probably better to clean it normally, so we don't miss anything. Like you said, this is part of my predecessor's legacy.

[And that's kind of a strong word when it comes to him. The ninth user of One for All, successor to All Might.

Now, apparently, successor to Aidos.]

It deserves to be cleaned properly.

[miraculo]

[ ....Ah. ] Hmmm, you have a point. [ She touches down upon the ground again, putting a hand to her chin. It's not as if she'd skimp out on cleaning due to a race. There would be points assigned on how thoroughly one cleans something!

Still, better safe than sorry. ] You're right. So then.... [ Holding her broom. ] Should we begin?

[fullcowl]

Yeah, let's start.

[He'll start on this suit of armor, after he puts the gauntlets back. Most of this stuff's covered in dust.]

[miraculo]

[ And Sanae will start on the other side of the hall. After some time, she'll finish her lot, making sure that the armor catches and reflects even the faintest bit of light to make it seem like it's shining. ] Aaaand,there!

That wasn't that bad to finish!

[fullcowl]

[Done! It took a while, but this place is nice and cleaned up.]

You're welcome. [ She nods. ] Oh, and before I forget-- my name is Sanae. [ Because she realizes she forgot to introduce herself earlier. ]
