Summary: The Heavens don't like things being cluttered, so it's time to clean up a little bit.







Main Hall

While the main hall of the Heavens seems spotlessly clean at all times, that's not the case at all. In fact, it's been at least a decade since the last time they actually cleaned everything out properly. There are a lot of hidden closets and back rooms that have layers of dust and dozens of boxes filled with nothing but junk. Who knows, though! You might find something interesting and useful in there along with all the garbage.

Suprises

Unfortunately, some of the older temples on the Far Shore seem to have some interesting surprises tucked away, ranging from cursed artifacts all the way to magical creatures locked up in long-forgotten rooms. You are free to be creative with this as a way to get your characters into trouble while cleaning.

Complimentary Dinner

After all of your hard work, you deserve to have some tasty food and refreshing beverages. So the Heavens have provided that for you, so that you can wind down after a long day. It's not as fancy as the banquets they often put on, but there is a nice array of food and drinks for everyone to enjoy.

Counselling

As usual, there is a white-robed shinki bearing the gold chrysanthemum of Amaterasu sitting at a table in the Main Hall. There is a small sign that denotes her as the counselling shinki. Anyone is welcome to approach her, and she will smile serenely at anyone passing by as well.

Saïx | OTA

The long, hooded, leather coat that Saïx had arrived in was quickly discarded in his room. He had no clue why he had arrived in it, let alone in leather pants and boots. Who the hell was he in his old life that he thought this was a good fashion statement? Whatever. He's not wearing the coat, especially not when he has to go help clean. Tomorrow he'd have to figure out some other clothes, but for now he's in his leather pants and a plain black v-neck shirt.

Main Hall
There was dust everywhere. Saïx had seen someone else take a rag and tie it around their face to keep from breathing in the dust, so he did the same before grabbing a bucket of cleaning supplies and finding a room where he could clean without anyone bothering him. Of course, that was proving rather difficult, so he sighed and decided he'd go into the next room regardless of who else was in there.

"Need some help?"

Complimentary Dinner
After all the cleaning, Saïx was famished. There was only one problem. He had no clue what foods he liked. So after cleaning himself up, he headed toward the food and started dishing up his meal. And a little of anything that didn't look or smell repulsive to him went on his plate.

He sat down at a table with two plates full of food and just stared at them. It was more food than he thought he'd be able to eat, but there was a good chance that half of it wouldn't be something he liked. If only he could figure out what to start off with.

After dinner, Saïx decided to take a walk. He hadn't really had much time to look around when he'd arrived earlier before being told to go help clean. So he was wandering around, checking out the other temples (from the outside) and seeing what else this place had to offer.
[Feel free to run into him anywhere in his meandering. Also, I am cool with switching to action tags/present tense if that's your preference!]

His temple was fairly new, all things considered, but it had still gotten surprisingly dusty in the last few months.

Then again, when you weren't a servant and your shinki wasn't prone to cleaning up either it was going to happen.

Leo dropped the last box of random junk he had somehow accumulated in the last few months at the entrance to his temple, glancing up just in time to see the strange blue haired man--and get hit with a vision of Sora killing him.

Well. That was new.

Whatever. Leo reached out to get the man's attention. "Excuse me. Are you a shinki?"

Saïx had been just drifting in this general direction and wasn't particularly paying attention to where he was going before he was stopped. It kind of felt like he was where he was supposed to be, but of course, he had no clue why that was.

"I'm not sure. I just got here, wherever here is," he replied gesturing to the space around them when he said the last bit. He wished he knew anything about himself, it would make conversing a little easier. And why would he be asked if he was a shinki? He didn't even know what that was.

"Shinki. A weapon for a god--in your case, me." Leo gestured around at his temple. "I am Leo, currently working as the god Odin."

[saikusu]

"I am Saïx." What else was he supposed to say to that. It hardly made sense and yet it did at the same time. It was quite a confusing feeling. "What do you prefer I call you? Leo, or Odin?"

Naminé hadn't really... cleaned, before, so she was a little flustered. Dust was everywhere, and it felt as if it settled on her hair (pulled back into a ponytail), her skin. She didn't like it--she'd definitely need a shower later. She'd forgone the usual dress she wore in favor of jean shorts and a tanktop--mostly because a dress wasn't sensible to clean in.

The voice didn't register at first, because Naminé's coughing fit drowned it out. But she felt a presence behind her, and when she turned, she froze in place.

Oh, no.

Naminé must have looked like a deer in headlights. If he was here, were there any others--? She was torn between running and staying put. Of course, running, or even moving, required her to move her heavy legs, so she stayed in place.

"Um." Her voice was little more than a whisper. "... Yes?"

The way the girl looked at him was surprising until he realized half his face was covered with a makeshift mask made of a rag. And he was easily a foot taller than her, muscular, and somewhat intimidating in appearance. Saïx removed the mask, hoping it might help put her at ease.

"Sorry, I didn't intend to scare you. All this dust makes it hard to breathe and this filters it out." He helpfully held up the rag. "I have an extra if you would like one?"

That didn't help matters much, actually; Naminé managed, somehow, to relax--at least enough to not draw attention to the fact that yes, she knew him. He had to be a shinki, then, if he was acting... well, the way he was.

So, she reached out with a hesitant hand. "I... yes, I would like that. Please. Thank you," she said, a little stiffly. Naminé gave him a tenuous smile. "Oh--my name is Naminé. You're new here... aren't you?"

"It's no problem." He reached into the bucket and pulled out a clean one and handed it to her. "My name is Saïx, and yes, I am new here. I arrived earlier today."

He put the makeshift mask back on before pulling a duster out of the bucket. "I'll start over there," he offered, pointing across the room from Naminé since she still looked a little spooked.

Wilcard! Outside of Roxas' temple

Roxas had left the cleaning party early, opting to eat at home instead. Homecooked food was better than what the gods made. It was a nice evening, so a walk was in order.

He headed down the steps to his own temple, some snacks in his arms, when he felt that someone was nearby. Something about this presence made the hair on the back of his neck rise up. The blond looked over and dropped his snacks onto the ground.

How had he gotten into this place? Roxas felt white hot anger in his stomach, out of instinct summoning the Keyblades. If Saïx was going to attack, Roxas would be prepared. "Hey!"

Saïx was minding his own business when a rather hostile sounding 'Hey!' was directed at him. He looked over and saw someone who looked quite ready to attack him. He was fairly certain he hadn't done anything to draw this kid's ire.

"Excuse me?" he snapped back, a little short, but not quite angry sounding either. Though that anger was starting to roil under his skin.

That reaction made Roxas stop his original plan. He relaxed and watched the warily. The Saïx he knew would have popped off with some kind of remark... this one didn't. That only meant one thing. As of the moment Roxas couldn't tell if this would be a good or bad.

"... don't get too close to my temple. You might get attacked." His temple was very in tune to Roxas' moods, and it'd be a bad beginning to this meeting if the statues decided to tear Saïx apart.

"By you?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. If it weren't for those extremely odd looking weapons he was holding, Saïx would have been more dismissive about it, however, he's unarmed and this kid isn't, so he wasn't about to attempt to fight him. Besides, why would he want to purposely provoke him into a fight?

"The chicken skewers are very tasty."

Ayumu's cheerful voice piped up near his ear as she leaned over to peek at his plate. They weren't as tasty as her own in her own opinion but she liked the blend of spices they used. And of course, they were tender and juicy.

"They're pretty filling, too!"

[saikusu]

When Ayumu stepped up, it startled Saïx. He wasn't expecting anyone to pop up over his shoulder like that.

"Ah, thank you," he replied. "I'll try those first."

[kagenonadeshiko]

"You're welcome."

Ayumu chuckled when he jumped. Good to know that she hadn't lost her touch. She'd hate to lose all those years of stealth training just because the Far Shore residents were easy to overlook.

"Mind if I join you? It's been a long day and you look new around here."

[saikusu]

"Go ahead." He motioned to the seat next to him. Did he really look that confused and lost that some stranger was noticing it? He thought he'd been keeping a fairly neutral expression, but it was quite possible that he hadn't. And he doubted everyone in this place knew everyone else to recognize whether they were new or not.

So maybe it was the sheer amount of food set before him. "Yes. I'm so new that this is my first meal here."

Main Hall

[All that's visible of Axel is legs, hands, and a couple of red spikes behind the three large boxes piled in his arms. He staggers towards the voice. It's got to be at the door, right?]

Yeah, you know, I could use a hand. Just -- hold the door, okay? Gotta get these out to the trash.

[saikusu]

[Saïx rolls his eyes. The guy couldn't even see where he was going. Holding the door for him wasn't really going to help much. Once he's close enough, he reaches for and takes the top box so that he can see again.]

I'll carry this one. As satisfying as it might be to watch someone I don't like run into things because they're carrying too much, I don't know you and would not get any satisfaction watching you hurt yourself.

[What a charmer. On the other hand, he did just take one of those giant boxes off of Axel's hands -- literally -- which predisposes him to like the guy.]

So! Junk pile outside, this way.

[Now that he can see, he shoulders open the door, pushing it far enough open that he can lean back against it to let the blue-haired stranger through.]

I'm Axel, by the way. You?

You're welcome.

[For taking the box off of his hands. He doesn't comment on the fact that he knows where the junk pile is, finding it to be pointless conversation.

Once he's stepped out into the hall, he places his foot against the door so that it doesn't close on Axel as he tries to leave the room.]

I'm Saïx.

Dinner 8U

[After his conversation with Leo, Sora sort of wanted to see Saix for himself. There was still a sense of uncomfortably anxiety in his belly when he thought about the situation, but he had already promised Leo he wouldn't cause any issues.

Didn't mean he couldn't go gawk at him. How different was Saix now that he didn't remember anything?

Spotting Saix a moment later, Sora feel himself clench his fists at his sides. Then after a small moment of debate with himself he teleports himself from his spot to right beside Saix's table. He reappears crouching near the table, peeking up suspiciously at Saix from the edge of the table top.]

You sure you can eat all that food, buddy?

[Jerk? Meanie? Dummy?]

[Saïx was coming to the conclusion that the people here were quite strange. First, a strange girl shows up over his shoulder to suggest what he should start with, and now this kid with messy hair peeking up at him from the edge of the table. Either the kid was very short, or extremely weird.]

If you're hungry, there's plenty of food over there that you can help yourself to.

[He points in the direction of said food.]

If that's not why you asked, why is it any of your business what a stranger can or cannot eat?

[When Saix points in the direction of the food Sora jumps back on total instinctual reflex and summons his keyblade. The blade flashes into his hand and he grips it tightly, staring at Saix.]

That's exactly what you want me to do, isn't it?!

[...

Heave.

He was going to have to get used to this. For Leo's sake.

He lessens his grip on his weapon and instead he asks,]

You really don't recognize me?

[saikusu]

[Definitely extremely weird. Also short, but not as short as he first assumed was a possibility.]

If I recognized you, why would I act like I didn't?

[He waves his hand for emphasis as he speaks.]

As for what I want you to do? I want you to put away that strange looking weapon and not injure me with it. I've done nothing but sit here and eat. And looking around, that does seem to be what everyone is doing, so unless you plan on bashing everyone who has taken what you deem to be too much food, there's no reason for you to pull it out on me.
