Summary: The Heavens don't like things being cluttered, so it's time to clean up a little bit.







Main Hall

While the main hall of the Heavens seems spotlessly clean at all times, that's not the case at all. In fact, it's been at least a decade since the last time they actually cleaned everything out properly. There are a lot of hidden closets and back rooms that have layers of dust and dozens of boxes filled with nothing but junk. Who knows, though! You might find something interesting and useful in there along with all the garbage.

Suprises

Unfortunately, some of the older temples on the Far Shore seem to have some interesting surprises tucked away, ranging from cursed artifacts all the way to magical creatures locked up in long-forgotten rooms. You are free to be creative with this as a way to get your characters into trouble while cleaning.

Complimentary Dinner

After all of your hard work, you deserve to have some tasty food and refreshing beverages. So the Heavens have provided that for you, so that you can wind down after a long day. It's not as fancy as the banquets they often put on, but there is a nice array of food and drinks for everyone to enjoy.

Counselling

As usual, there is a white-robed shinki bearing the gold chrysanthemum of Amaterasu sitting at a table in the Main Hall. There is a small sign that denotes her as the counselling shinki. Anyone is welcome to approach her, and she will smile serenely at anyone passing by as well.

I'll be fine. It was just... [He looks back into the room. The dust doesn't look like it'll be settling that quickly.]

I sneezed and the dust kind of exploded? [Roxas isn't sure if layers upon layers of dust are supposed to do that.]

[galactically]

An exploding dust...? Just from sneezing?

[An apprehensive look settles on her features as she casts a gaze at the room they just came from. It takes little time for her nose to crinkle. Dust flashbacks.]

This is bad. Someone should put a warning sign on that room!

[missingache]

Uhm... oh! The force of the sneeze did it! I think.

[That's how physics work, right? Since a sneeze is forced out air, and hitting the dust. Boom! Dust explosion!

He blinks and shakes his head.]

But I gotta clean it!

[galactically]

How can a sneeze do all that? You must have powerful lungs!

[Says the woman who'd met plenty of people with magical powers, but hey. She looks utterly baffled at Roxas' words, canting her head.]

No, you don't. Let someone else handle it instead!

[missingache]

Maybe?

[This kid is all magic. Part of being Sora's other half.]

Isn't it our job to clean? What if someone else chokes to death?

[galactically]

That's why I brought up a warning sign, you see?

[She extends a hand out, sweeping it over their heads in a grand gesture.]

"Warning: toxic dust in room. Will cause eyesores, excessive coughing and swelling. Stay out if you have allergies." Straight to the point.

[missingache]

[She certainly was prepared. Wait. You can be allergic to dust?]

How are we gonna hang it? I don't have nails, and freezing it to the door won't work.

[galactically]

Duct tape it to the door! Or next to it on the wall...

[Sheryl, do you even have duct tape on hand? Gosh]

[missingache]

I don't have any tape.

[They could look for some?]

Thumbtacks would work if we had any.

[galactically]

Why don't we ask around for some? Ah, but we need paper and markers, too, don't we?

[There's a small, sheepish chortle out of Sheryl as she remembers this, cupping a hand idly over her cheek.]

[missingache]

[They are both so ill prepared for this. Roxas points to a different room.]

I know that room's clean. Maybe there's something we can use in there?

[galactically]

[This is why Sheryl does not do well with clean-ups. Being ill prepared is no good. At any rate, she follows his line of vision and nods in approval, smiling.]

Not a bad idea, Roxas. Let's head over there and see!

[missingache]

[Roxas is going to assume that he's the one leading. He enters the room and takes a look around.

It's a fairly simple room which looks like it was previously a office. There were a few extra desks in here.... But no chairs?]

There's drawers in the desks.

[galactically]

[Desks but no chairs? What kind of an office is this??

Upon walking inside the room, Sheryl makes a quick beeline towards the desks, pulling out the drawers to find a thin stack of blank sheets of paper. Her eyes light it at the discovery, and she takes the sheets out to wave at Roxas with them.]

Look what I found~

[In a sing-songy type of voice. She presents the stacks with a bright smile.]

Ta-da!

[missingache]

[Probably out for maintenance or they are getting ergonomically sound chairs. But who knows.

Roxas is inspecting a desk as well and stares at the contents. He turns to Sheryl and nods, holding up a strange discovery of his own]

That's great! But.. [This is weird sticky gummy stuff in a package.] What's 'mounting putty'? The package says you can use it to hang stuff, like posters and clothes hooks.

[galactically]

Mounting putty?

[Carrying the papers in her arms, Sheryl approaches Roxas with a curious expression. Her blue eyes dart over to the sticky gummy that he found, right at the same time her mouth forms an "O" shape.]

I've seen that before! It's like, clay and glue at the same time. You use it instead of tape to hang things.

[missingache]

[That is one of the weirdest things he's heard about.]

So we use this instead?

[galactically]

[She quickly nods, then walks to the desks in an attempt to find some writing tools.]

Right! Unless there is actual tape in this room we can use.

[missingache]

[He looks at his find before putting it on top of the desk. He's careful to rummage through the other drawers for tape or something else that was useful.]

What are gel pens?

[Roxas pulls some out of the drawer. They were soft pinks, purples, and greens. To him it looks like strange colored cream in a pen.]

[galactically]

Aaah, they even have those stylish pens in here!

[Sheryl looks enthusiastic for these otherwise normal pens, but yeah! She plucks a soft pink one and twirls it around between two fingers.]

They're just pens, only with the gel as ink. I see these being used more for coloring than actual writing, but they look so beautiful when I write lyrics with them.

[missingache]

[Roxas just stares at one of the pens deep in thought.]

How can you write with gel? Ink is a liquid. Is it just thicker ink?

[These look like they should be used against dark paper.]

[galactically]

The gel in these pens have the same consistency as ink, only a bit thicker.

[She glances around the room, then rummages through the drawers until she discovers a long sheet of blue construction paper. There might be a light bounce to her step, if Roxas pays attention.]

Let's test these out with this!

[missingache]

[That makes a lot of sense. And he does notice. She's happy! So he smiles brightly as he uncaps the green pen.]

So we just draw or write anything?

[galactically]

Anything like you like! Natural spontaneity is greater than the human imagination.

[Read: write and draw according to how you feel at the moment. Which is what Sheryl's doing right now, pulling the cap off the pen and plopping the sheet on the table for them to share.]

[missingache]

[This reminds Roxas of when he started talking to the Sora back in Koriko. They somehow managed to stop the fight once Roxas drew an angry cat on the bbs, and it devolved into covering the entire board in little drawings.

He smiles before drawing a cat similar to the one he drew well over a year ago.]
