Summary: The Heavens don't like things being cluttered, so it's time to clean up a little bit.







Main Hall

While the main hall of the Heavens seems spotlessly clean at all times, that's not the case at all. In fact, it's been at least a decade since the last time they actually cleaned everything out properly. There are a lot of hidden closets and back rooms that have layers of dust and dozens of boxes filled with nothing but junk. Who knows, though! You might find something interesting and useful in there along with all the garbage.

Suprises

Unfortunately, some of the older temples on the Far Shore seem to have some interesting surprises tucked away, ranging from cursed artifacts all the way to magical creatures locked up in long-forgotten rooms. You are free to be creative with this as a way to get your characters into trouble while cleaning.

Complimentary Dinner

After all of your hard work, you deserve to have some tasty food and refreshing beverages. So the Heavens have provided that for you, so that you can wind down after a long day. It's not as fancy as the banquets they often put on, but there is a nice array of food and drinks for everyone to enjoy.

Counselling

As usual, there is a white-robed shinki bearing the gold chrysanthemum of Amaterasu sitting at a table in the Main Hall. There is a small sign that denotes her as the counselling shinki. Anyone is welcome to approach her, and she will smile serenely at anyone passing by as well.

Main Hall

[ ... Well, she supposes there could be more dangerous things to be doing. Naminé's picked up a handkerchief, so she's not sneezing up a storm anymore; but her eyes are a little red, and she's trying not to itch them.

What does she find? So much. There's a teapot that's trying its best to attach itself to her hand; there's a notebook she's very hastily tossed to the side because of its spicy contents; there's... a box of donuts that still looks fresh? That can't be normal. She's very pointedly not touching those, because who knows what terrible things have been done to those to make them last for what she assumes is a long time... You know. Since there's a thick layer of dust on the box. ]

Dinner

[ So Naminé is covered practically head to toe in dust, because apparently she's gotten... ambitious. Find her cleaning up before she heads to get food--at least she's not wearing her dress, but shorts and a tanktop because dresses aren't sensible to clean in. Her hair's pulled back, too, kind of messily. Naminé, though, looks pretty proud of herself! She's managed to actually help out, after all.

Which is why she thinks she deserves a short break, and she's looking over the spread. Wow... There's a lot to choose from, she's not even sure where to start. ]

[She's gotten really ambitious. Riku might even be a little proud of her. Namine is such a delicate thing just by appearance alone and can be really shy, so it's great to see her so involved.

Riku's got his own hair pulled into a ponytail too, looking almost as messy as her.]

Better clean up before you grab anything.

[chainbroke]

Oh! Riku.

[ She fidgets a little bit, before smiling sheepishly. ]

It wouldn't do to have a side of dust with my food... would it?

[darkbreak]

[He might be gently brushing off some of the dust on the top of her head and shoulders with a very small smile.]

There are more healthy foods out there, yeah. Plus it would make everything taste bad as a garnish.

[chainbroke]

[ She doesn't shy away from his touch; instead, she smiles shyly. ]

It almost sounds like you've eaten dust before, Riku.

[darkbreak]

[That stops him short, like he's seriously considering this statement, before shrugging with a snort.]

Maybe I have. Can't exactly tell. But you don't need to remember to know it's not good for you.

[chainbroke]

[ Oh... right. Oops. ]

Well... then I'll be very careful.

[darkbreak]

[...Huh? That was a bit of a strange reaction. Was it something he said?]

Something wrong?

Oh-- oh, no, um, I think I'm just a little overwhelmed by... everything.

[ Also, she feels bad for pretty much drawing attention to his missing memories... ]

Main hall

[There is way too much magic in this place, Kido thinks. Waaaaaaay too much magic. She's mostly concerned with the tea pot because what happens if it manages to stay attached.]

... Maybe you can get it to stick to something else?

[chainbroke]

[ Naminé doesn't want to just... smash it, because that seems really unnecessary? She looks a little panicked, though... ]

I haven't-- it seems to really, um, like me?

[blindfoldcode]

[She considers, that then.] Why not try to box it up?

[chainbroke]

I can try that... but I think I'll need some help.

[blindfoldcode]

I have a pair of hands if you need them.

[chainbroke]

Okay. Um-- thank you.

[ She looks around for a box, and-- ah. Naminé tries to reach for a box, but the teapot's suddenly very interested in her face.

Uh oh. ]

[blindfoldcode]

[Kido scrambles to try to grab it???] Is it trying to bite or something?

[chainbroke]

I-I think so!

[ WHY THIS ]

Main Hall

[Add is mostly just wandering around, looking for interesting objects to tamper with while his robot posse handle the majority of the dirty work. It's Rin who's currently scouting ahead, so the pink roomba has no qualms with rolling into a room that's already occupied as long as its still reasonably dirty. It might gently bump into her a couple times as it tries to vacuum around her.

A minute or so later, Add strolls in through the open door, with Apocalypse trailing a short distance behind him and carrying a small box. Except he stops dead in his tracks once he spots Naminé at the other end of the room.

... Awkward. He doesn't really want to deal with her again after last time, but he also can't leave without his robot.

He pretends to be distracted by some of the objects Naminé has already put aside, making an effort not to look at her directly. This is fine. He'll just... stand here until Rin wanders away from her. Yeah.]

[chainbroke]

[ She hears someone enter, and it really is a good thing she doesn't call out a hello without even looking, because--

Oh. The awkwardness is practically tangible, and she very pointedly goes back to cleaning. Probably a little too much, because it doesn't look natural...

... She's not saying anything, because she doesn't want to annoy him again, for... several reasons. ]

[At least they're both on the same page here. It doesn't make it any less awkward, but it's easier to pretend someone isn't there when they're playing along...

He skims through the discarded notebook briefly before grimacing and putting it back down. Okay, maybe not that. The next item at the top of the pile is that dusty box. He gently opens it up, trying not to get too much dust on his hands...

Oh. There are donuts in here?

... That's really suspicious, but they look to be okay. Does food ever go bad in the Heavens? He's not really sure since he hasn't tested it yet, but the cupboards and fridge of his temple restock on their own so it doesn't seem to be normal. He contemplates the assortment of donuts for a few seconds longer before very carefully poking one in the side.]

... seems normal enough... [He pokes it a little harder so some of the filling comes out. It... still looks okay? Maybe? He even holds it up so he can sniff it, but nothing seems weird about it. But those chocolates last month seemed normal at the time, too...] Hrmmmm.

[It'll be fine if he only tastes a little bit, right...? It's for science, so it's a calculated risk. After all that hesitating and mumbling to himself, he finally licks the tiny bit of cream filling off his finger.]

... Huh. What is this, lemon?

[chainbroke]

[ ... You know, she's about to warn him, maybe stop him from eating the mystery donuts, because who knows what is in them. Instead of speaking up, though, Naminé stares at him--though not too long, because he might take that as a personal offense and get mad at her again...

... She's not trusting them, even if they seem to be okay? Naminé's pretty much just hoping something terrible doesn't happen; she doesn't want him to get hurt at all, because he's Roxas's friend, and also because... if something does happen, he'd probably blame her. She was the one who found those donuts, anyway. Maybe she should've tried to stop him... ]

Um... [ she says, quietly, before clearing her throat. ] Are-- are they... okay?

[subtract]

[He looks at her over his shoulder, still sucking out the last of the flavour. He continues to stare at her in tense silence for a few more seconds before finally popping his finger out to answer.]

Do you want to find out?

[Are you sure you don't want to eat suspicious closet donuts with him, Naminé?]

[chainbroke]

[ ....... Umm. ]

I-- um. I think I'm okay. I'm not very hungry...

[subtract]

[He pouts a tiny bit, but doesn't push the subject any further than that. Even when he tries to be nice he gets turned down! Fine, Naminé, maybe he doesn't want to share with you anyway. He maintains eye contact as he picks up the lemon-filled donut and takes a big bite out of it. Look at how delicious this is. It looks so good, and all of it is Add's now. He doesn't have to share any of these donuts with anyone.

... Although, now that he's had a larger sample he's starting to notice a weird aftertaste. He slowly stops chewing, wrinkling his nose. That's... probably still okay?

Nothing weird happens immediately, so he swallows the chunk of donut anyway.]

... They're fine. Maybe a little past their expiry, but not bad.

[chainbroke]

[ Add pouting. That is. Sure a weird thing, wow. She's getting really unnerved by the fact that he's staring at her as he bites into the donut. Maybe she should've tried one? ... She's not that bold, though, and she's definitely not that ready to just eat random stuff that's been here for who knows how long.... ]

... Only a little?

[ DID YOU SEE ALL THAT DUST ON THE TOP OF THE BOX, ADD... ]
