007 | Clean Up Your Act
Who: Everyone!
What: Spring cleaning
When: All day April 15
Where: All around the Heavens
Summary: The Heavens don't like things being cluttered, so it's time to clean up a little bit.
Main Hall
While the main hall of the Heavens seems spotlessly clean at all times, that's not the case at all. In fact, it's been at least a decade since the last time they actually cleaned everything out properly. There are a lot of hidden closets and back rooms that have layers of dust and dozens of boxes filled with nothing but junk. Who knows, though! You might find something interesting and useful in there along with all the garbage.
Suprises
Unfortunately, some of the older temples on the Far Shore seem to have some interesting surprises tucked away, ranging from cursed artifacts all the way to magical creatures locked up in long-forgotten rooms. You are free to be creative with this as a way to get your characters into trouble while cleaning.
Complimentary Dinner
After all of your hard work, you deserve to have some tasty food and refreshing beverages. So the Heavens have provided that for you, so that you can wind down after a long day. It's not as fancy as the banquets they often put on, but there is a nice array of food and drinks for everyone to enjoy.
Counselling
As usual, there is a white-robed shinki bearing the gold chrysanthemum of Amaterasu sitting at a table in the Main Hall. There is a small sign that denotes her as the counselling shinki. Anyone is welcome to approach her, and she will smile serenely at anyone passing by as well.

Hello, yes, have you met Sanae? She's easily impressionable, and this woman has now become the person she admires and wishes to be like for her kindness and grace. And she is a fellow goddess, to boot! This is the kind of goddess she wishes to be, kind and gentle and with a twinkle of wisdom in her eyes. ] ....I'm... Sanae Kochiya. [ She finds her voice, gathering her thoughts. ] Also a goddess, of my own name. My domain is, um, miracles.

Oh. ] E--excuse me, .....Tang Sanzang?! [ As in, from Journey to the West? One of the Four Great Classic Novels of China? And now he is-- er, she is.... the Bodhisattva that helped Sanzang in the novel?? Excuse her as she tries to make sense of all of this information.
Fortunately she does come to one conclusion: ] ....--I-it's an honor to meet you! [ Aw gee, her shinki is from Romance of the Three Kingdoms and now she meets Sanzang from Journey to the West. Also there are shinsengumi here and shinki that serve Izanagi and SHE'S NOT WORTHY. TOO MANY FAMOUS PEOPLE. ]

[She almost drops her brooms at the sudden declaration, staring at Sanae with wide-eyed astonishment] You've heard of me?
[Instead of being weirded out, she looks embarrassed but pleased.] I'm so happy...! The story of our journey reached a lot of people, huh? A lot of people seem to know it! [Hideyoshi and them certainly did, since they'd been quick to teasingly name themselves after her friends, but it's always a little embarrassing to have someone knowing her entire story.]
I hope you're not disappointed now that you've met me!

Now that she thinks about it, her own shinki, Lu Meng, and now Sanzang... two have come from famous stories, each a legend in their own right, and there are even more historical figures among them. She should be grateful for this opportunity to meet such people. ] A story of friendship and adventure not only reached a lot of people, but inspired many as well. [ She closes her eyes, holding those broomsticks close. ] I may not remember every detail, but I remember its messages.
[ She looks back to the other goddess, an embarrassed flush spreading to her cheeks, although her eyes are grateful. ] Through the tales of your journey, you taught me how to persevere in a duty, no matter how hard it is to reach it.

She's been thanked for her services, of course. Been offered a place in Heaven itself to help restore all that had been damaged in the battles between the demons and the Heavens, to help repair the world and all that. The Great Buddha himself had praised her, but none of that mattered in the face of something like this.
Real people, humans and gods and those untouched by the fighting itself, reading her story and being impacted by it like this? It means more to her than the highest praise. Her eyes get misty and she drops the bundle of broken brooms in favor of grabbing onto Sanae instead.
JUST LET HER HUG IT OUT nevermind the brooms that Sanae's also carrying, those aren't important right now]

She can be sure that Sanae is hugging back, just as tightly and excitedly because this is basically meeting one of her childhood story heroes. Or... heroines? Who would have thought she'd get to meet such an amazing person! ] Lady Sanzang--.... [ She bounces happily on her heels, grinning brightly. ] You've done more than enough for me already! [ By means of inspiration. She steps out of the hug for a moment so she can give her a short bow again. ]

Ah, this makes me all nostalgic... If only Goku and the others were here! But Hakkai would probably end up eating all of our yams, and Goku would just get mad... [Sanzang laughs anyhow though, because really even Goku yelling and stomping his feet around would be welcoming.]

It pains her to see her role model be saddened! Sanae nods to herself, opens up her hand, and then throws a lot more yams onto the fire. ]
---Which means we'll just eat as many yams as Hakkai would steal, or Goku would eat, in honor of them, right?

I traveled around with Goku a lot though! But some things happened... [Like being accepted into the mystic realm in a way no one knows because the gaME NEVER ADDRESSES THIS WHY] And we got separated again...
[And they ended up on opposite sides of a war.
Still, Sanae's comment makes her laugh and smile again] Impossible, impossible! We'd explode! They'd have to roll us out of here, we'd get so big! But, we can eat as much as we can, and then share the rest with anyone else we can find. Share the happiness!
