Summary: The Heavens don't like things being cluttered, so it's time to clean up a little bit.







Main Hall

While the main hall of the Heavens seems spotlessly clean at all times, that's not the case at all. In fact, it's been at least a decade since the last time they actually cleaned everything out properly. There are a lot of hidden closets and back rooms that have layers of dust and dozens of boxes filled with nothing but junk. Who knows, though! You might find something interesting and useful in there along with all the garbage.

Suprises

Unfortunately, some of the older temples on the Far Shore seem to have some interesting surprises tucked away, ranging from cursed artifacts all the way to magical creatures locked up in long-forgotten rooms. You are free to be creative with this as a way to get your characters into trouble while cleaning.

Complimentary Dinner

After all of your hard work, you deserve to have some tasty food and refreshing beverages. So the Heavens have provided that for you, so that you can wind down after a long day. It's not as fancy as the banquets they often put on, but there is a nice array of food and drinks for everyone to enjoy.

Counselling

As usual, there is a white-robed shinki bearing the gold chrysanthemum of Amaterasu sitting at a table in the Main Hall. There is a small sign that denotes her as the counselling shinki. Anyone is welcome to approach her, and she will smile serenely at anyone passing by as well.

Thinking hard enough about it wouldn't make you a bodhisattva.

[ He can't help sounding especially critical. His jaw sets stubbornly, body language turning mulish.

Then, because he has to ask: ] You're not one, right?

[She laughs a little] According to this place, I am now, I guess! Kanzeon is a bodhisattva of mercy and compassion. I don't think I'm nearly worthy enough of that, but... I'll do my best!

[She'd already attained a sort of bodhisattva status, being accepted as an immortal into the mystic realm with the others but not going fully on to heaven (or something like that, look the game is pretty vague about these things, okay?) But it's also not.. .quite the same.

But trying to explain would just lead to more confusion, so she's willing to leave it as-is for now.]

But, hmm... If there's two 'Sanzos' running around, that'll get confusing, right? [She considers this for a moment, before brightening a little] How about you just call me 'Sanzang'? That'll work, right?

[ That wasn't a particularly direct answer, but he's just going to have to deal. Shrugging his shoulders, he glances to the side. ]

Don't change what you go by for other people. [ Genjo Sanzo- any Genjo Sanzo shouldn't need to. ] They'll get over it.

[sanzohoshi]

But it'd be confusing for both of us, too! Besides, you were here first, so you should keep your name!

[She smiles gently and shrugs her shoulders, not bothered.] It's just a name. What I do means more than what I am. Whatever name I go by, I'm still always going to be me. Nothing's going to change that!

[ It takes him a second to realize what she's doing there, or he certainly thinks he does.

He's not sold on the idea that it's because he was there first. Maybe she has a point, though. There's no reason to take it as a charity even if he damn well knows he doesn't have more than the name to fall back on. ]

Do what you want then. I don't care to stop you.

[sanzohoshi]

I always do! [What she wants to do, she means, but she laughs and smiles as if to soften the blow.]

Or, maybe I should say 'we' always do? [She brings a sleeve thoughtfully to her mouth, wishing she could ask more. But he's a shinki, and she's not sure what she can say or ask that might trigger something.]

Master Sanzo... Let's be friends, okay? Us Sanzos have to stick together, after all! And I... It's lonely... [She doesn't have anyone she knows here, and though Sanzo isn't one of them, he is her. She feels automatically comfortable with him, like she can relax; it's not too unlike the feeling she used to get around Goku before her version decided to go off the deep end.

She forces her self to perk up and claps her hands together once with a bright smile.] So! Let's work together!

[ Always following one's own path speaks true, if nothing else. He shifts his weight, looking away from her for a moment as he considered her words. He didn't need to worry about something like that.

He wasn't pathologically collecting people, desperate to reach out for any connection because he was missing something crucial. No, not at all. ]

Sanzos stick together? I doubt you need my help. [ He sighs. ] Like I said, I'm not going to stop you.

[sanzohoshi]

Maybe not, but I'd like it. [His help, she means. She smiles warmly at him; if he's the sun that melts of Icarus's wings, then she's the side that warms him up after his fall into the icy ocean below.

Besides, nothing could stop her once she put her mind to it. Not she who faced down the gods themselves and lived to talk about it.

...Well, no one could stop her except herself, maybe, so with Sanzo here he might actually stand a chance but. You know. Details.]

Besides, with the two of us, there's nothing we can't do! [She hums lightly and glances around, folding her hands behind her back] Have you been here a little while? Let's walk around together, you can show me some things!
