Summary: The Heavens don't like things being cluttered, so it's time to clean up a little bit.







Main Hall

While the main hall of the Heavens seems spotlessly clean at all times, that's not the case at all. In fact, it's been at least a decade since the last time they actually cleaned everything out properly. There are a lot of hidden closets and back rooms that have layers of dust and dozens of boxes filled with nothing but junk. Who knows, though! You might find something interesting and useful in there along with all the garbage.

Suprises

Unfortunately, some of the older temples on the Far Shore seem to have some interesting surprises tucked away, ranging from cursed artifacts all the way to magical creatures locked up in long-forgotten rooms. You are free to be creative with this as a way to get your characters into trouble while cleaning.

Complimentary Dinner

After all of your hard work, you deserve to have some tasty food and refreshing beverages. So the Heavens have provided that for you, so that you can wind down after a long day. It's not as fancy as the banquets they often put on, but there is a nice array of food and drinks for everyone to enjoy.

Counselling

As usual, there is a white-robed shinki bearing the gold chrysanthemum of Amaterasu sitting at a table in the Main Hall. There is a small sign that denotes her as the counselling shinki. Anyone is welcome to approach her, and she will smile serenely at anyone passing by as well.

[He rolls his eyes, shaking his head.]

[Look this is how he's friendly. He likes Sora. He just has a terrible sense of humor.]

You offered me books. I have to make sure you stay alive at least.

[At that Sora's expression changes from exasperated to amused.]

Nageki, you're so weird did you know that?

[He laughs.] That's a good thing, I promise!

I am not a particularly good candidate for a friend, so I believe your insistence on the matter makes you just as weird. [He shoots Sora a look.]

[oathkeeper]

Then I guess we're two peas in a pod!

[Nice try, Nageki. Have some power of friendship.]

[There's a beat. Before Nageki cracks a very small smile. Very small. VERY SMALL.]

I don't recall nearly as many head injuries on my part, at least.

[oathkeeper]

[Sora grins happily.]

Good because one of us has to keep their head on straight, right? Or I'd be dying of dust bunnies inhalation right now.

[They were both weird, but what was that saying? Freaks flock together?]

If you are inhaling entire dust bunnies, I don't think the problem is with the dust. That seems like something you have to do purposefully.

[oathkeeper]

What? No way! They totally attacked me! I didn't ask to be attacked by dust bunnies!

You lost to dust bunnies.

[oathkeeper]

[Sora lets out a tired defeated huff.]

Give me a break, Nageki!

[In exasperation he throws his arm around Nageki's shoulders playfully and shakes him.]

Next time, you deal the bunnies, okay?! Since you're so good at it.

[What?! What are you doing why are you shaking him he doesn't understand and he's very startled for a moment.]

I don't do well with dust. I am trying to avoid it.

[oathkeeper]

Have you been doing any cleaning today?

[For real question, Sora's been busting his butt!]

I've been helping by researching methodology.

[oathkeeper]

So you haven't done much but study about cleaning.

[Sora stares.]

Nageki...

[Sora chuckles and shakes his head. Well, can't really blame anyone for not wanting to help. He shrugs.]

Most of the cleaning I've seen has ended in disaster. I might be dead, but I'm not stupid.

[oathkeeper]

[Sora pats Negeki gently on the shoulder.] I’m just teasing, I never said you were stupid. Cleaning isn’t my favorite thing either!

[Sora then wonders,] Hey so, did everything go okay with your new god?

I think he can read my mind. I'm not sure.

[oathkeeper]

Whoa really? What made you think he could?

[That's kinda scary.]

He was specific about things I was thinking about. [He shrugs. He just has to... not think in his general area.]
