Summary: The Heavens don't like things being cluttered, so it's time to clean up a little bit.







Main Hall

While the main hall of the Heavens seems spotlessly clean at all times, that's not the case at all. In fact, it's been at least a decade since the last time they actually cleaned everything out properly. There are a lot of hidden closets and back rooms that have layers of dust and dozens of boxes filled with nothing but junk. Who knows, though! You might find something interesting and useful in there along with all the garbage.

Suprises

Unfortunately, some of the older temples on the Far Shore seem to have some interesting surprises tucked away, ranging from cursed artifacts all the way to magical creatures locked up in long-forgotten rooms. You are free to be creative with this as a way to get your characters into trouble while cleaning.

Complimentary Dinner

After all of your hard work, you deserve to have some tasty food and refreshing beverages. So the Heavens have provided that for you, so that you can wind down after a long day. It's not as fancy as the banquets they often put on, but there is a nice array of food and drinks for everyone to enjoy.

Counselling

As usual, there is a white-robed shinki bearing the gold chrysanthemum of Amaterasu sitting at a table in the Main Hall. There is a small sign that denotes her as the counselling shinki. Anyone is welcome to approach her, and she will smile serenely at anyone passing by as well.

[Saïx was coming to the conclusion that the people here were quite strange. First, a strange girl shows up over his shoulder to suggest what he should start with, and now this kid with messy hair peeking up at him from the edge of the table. Either the kid was very short, or extremely weird.]

If you're hungry, there's plenty of food over there that you can help yourself to.

[He points in the direction of said food.]

If that's not why you asked, why is it any of your business what a stranger can or cannot eat?

[oathkeeper]

[When Saix points in the direction of the food Sora jumps back on total instinctual reflex and summons his keyblade. The blade flashes into his hand and he grips it tightly, staring at Saix.]

That's exactly what you want me to do, isn't it?!

[...

Heave.

He was going to have to get used to this. For Leo's sake.

He lessens his grip on his weapon and instead he asks,]

You really don't recognize me?

[saikusu]

[Definitely extremely weird. Also short, but not as short as he first assumed was a possibility.]

If I recognized you, why would I act like I didn't?

[He waves his hand for emphasis as he speaks.]

As for what I want you to do? I want you to put away that strange looking weapon and not injure me with it. I've done nothing but sit here and eat. And looking around, that does seem to be what everyone is doing, so unless you plan on bashing everyone who has taken what you deem to be too much food, there's no reason for you to pull it out on me.

[oathkeeper]

[Sora frowns. Yep, Saix sure didn't remember anything. He wasn't sure why he questioned that in the first place. Shinki never ever remembered anything. Why would Saix be any different?

Still. His nerves were on auto pilot. He just had to make sure.

With a sigh he dissipates his weapon and crosses his arms.]

Well you're still as pleasant as ever, aren't ya.

[Of course Sora couldn't say any more then that but Sora feels like he's earned the right to take a jab at Saix.]

I'm not worried about the food, okay! I was just... coming to meet you. I know your god and he's a good friend of mine so I wanted to see what his new shinki was like.

[saikusu]

[He frowns.]

I wouldn't know, would I... whatever your name is.

[He gives him a piercing stare. Knowing Leo certainly wasn't the reason he knew Saïx. If it was, he wouldn't have said anything about his demeanor, which was only as bad as it was because he was annoyed.]

You wanted to see what I was like, but you seemed to know before you even got here. You were so on edge showing up that all I had to do was move my arm to have you pull a weapon on me. Mind telling me what that was about?

[oathkeeper]

It's SORA.

[Really, how many times was he going to have to tell Saix his name? That was like the hundredth time--

Oh.

Right.

Memory thing.]

Nothing. Uhhh....it was nothing. I think I just ate something bad today that's making me a little jumpy. Don't worry about it.

[Best believable line ever.]

[saikusu]

[And he's not buying anything Sora is saying.]

Do you often shout for no reason, Sora? Or is that another side effect of whatever it was you ate?

[oathkeeper]

Hmmmmmyep! [Sora replies with a snap, with a little bit of sass in his tone.

He huffs and looks away a moment later.]

...Just. Okay. I'm sorry for freaking out.

[It felt weird to say that, but a promise to Leo was a promise. He wouldn't cause any issues so long as Saix didn't try to hurt any of his friends.]

Leo is my god-father so you better be nice to him and his other shinki. That's all I wanted to say.

[saikusu]

[Was there no end to this kid's weirdness? But he nods at the apology.]

Thank you.

[But now he's just staring blankly at Sora. Why wouldn't he treat his god well? Leo seems decent enough, and while he hasn't met Niles yet, he figures he'll probably be easy enough to get along with.]

Why wouldn't I be nice to them?

[oathkeeper]

[Because you're a mean bad guy? goes left unsaid.]

I dunno, just a hunch.

[Sora shrugs and then turns to leave. There was still the very real uncomfortable feeling in his belly knowing Saix was here. But he had nothing else to say to him right now except one last thing.]

Leo's other son Forrest be nice to him too.

[He turns to leave.]

A hunch. Seemingly based on nothing. From where I'm sitting, I'm not the one you need to worry about. Considering what you've done and said since you popped up in front of me, you seem to be the one struggling with nicety.

[oathkeeper]

[Sora turns around.]

I don't have any reason to be nice to you!

[His eyes tear up and his fists clench tightly at his sides. A few people turn to look when Sora shouts.

Memories or not Sora couldn't hold back the emotional reaction. Saix might not remember the pain he caused but Sora did. The anger and frustration Saix made him feel. He'd never forget that. His chest was hurting just thinking about it. Just seeing Saix's face makes him miss Kairi even if she was home and safe right now.

Sora reaches up and rubs his eyes angrily and then teleports away.

He got what he needed learn about how Saix was now.]

[Saïx was about to add that Sora didn't have any reason not to be mean to him either, but the words got stuck in his throat as he watched the boy fall apart emotionally.

Well, that was confusing. He can feel the way many are staring at him after that scene. Frowning, he gets up and leaves his food behind. He didn't want to spend the rest of his meal with dozens of eyes on him.

What he needs is a walk to clear his head and process everything that's happened today. Hopefully every day wouldn't wind up as eventful as this one had. At least there had been a few good moments.]
