Summary: The Heavens don't like things being cluttered, so it's time to clean up a little bit.







Main Hall

While the main hall of the Heavens seems spotlessly clean at all times, that's not the case at all. In fact, it's been at least a decade since the last time they actually cleaned everything out properly. There are a lot of hidden closets and back rooms that have layers of dust and dozens of boxes filled with nothing but junk. Who knows, though! You might find something interesting and useful in there along with all the garbage.

Suprises

Unfortunately, some of the older temples on the Far Shore seem to have some interesting surprises tucked away, ranging from cursed artifacts all the way to magical creatures locked up in long-forgotten rooms. You are free to be creative with this as a way to get your characters into trouble while cleaning.

Complimentary Dinner

After all of your hard work, you deserve to have some tasty food and refreshing beverages. So the Heavens have provided that for you, so that you can wind down after a long day. It's not as fancy as the banquets they often put on, but there is a nice array of food and drinks for everyone to enjoy.

Counselling

As usual, there is a white-robed shinki bearing the gold chrysanthemum of Amaterasu sitting at a table in the Main Hall. There is a small sign that denotes her as the counselling shinki. Anyone is welcome to approach her, and she will smile serenely at anyone passing by as well.

[The pain of having a short god. Ludger is tempted to just pick Roxas up and place him well away from the room. Would that get him in trouble? Maybe.

Instead he gently moves his arm in front of Roxas and gently pushes him back outside.]

It's not an ayakashi.

[cloak]

I couldn't do much about an ayakashi with Keyblades.

[Which is to say he understands what it isn't, but not what it is]

What if it's a threat?

[Ludger thinks about for a moment before pulling out a gun. He turns to the pot and shoots the ground in front of it. The thing seems to have enough sense to know when it's in danger since it awkwardly scuttle back to a corner.

Teeth are still gnashing, and it might just be biding its time for the next attack.

It's not destroyed but still a threat... Do they really have to break the pot at this rate?]

[cloak]

You can't stand guard here forever...

[That's too much for the Heavens to expect of Ludger, on top of being both limiting and dull. While the thing might understand a threat and retreat from it, that doesn't mean the problem is resolved.

If it's only neutralized when someone's around to attack it, they'd have to have someone here all the time.

But he thinks there might be another answer]

I could lock this door, so it can't get out.

[He holds up a Keyblade demonstratively]

[Look. Ludger would stand guard long enough to figure out how to solve this problem. Which would either be lightning quick or take a while.

And then there's the giant key.

.... Ludger steps aside with a sigh and nods. He doesn't even have anything close to that. Here's to hoping no one unlocks the door anytime soon.]

[cloak]

[It's probably take another Keyblade to unlock the door, or that's what Roxas is banking on. He shuts the door once Ludger's moved away from it, taking a half-step back himself to tap the doorknob.

A soft metallic click follows, and he dismisses his weapons]

That should do it.

[And with the matter hopefully addressed, he looks his shinki over with a quick up-and-down motion of his hooded head]

You're not hurt, are you?

[soindebt]

[Just in case, Ludger rattles the door. That is rather secure. It's impressive what a magical key is capable of. Except he doesn't think this could undo a stuck drawer.

He shakes his head, smiling.]

I'm fine.

[Almost lost a hand, but that could have been worked around.]

[cloak]

[He nods, dismissing his Keyblades. No need for weapons anymore, now that the threat is dealt with. With that obstacle addressed, he supposes they should return to their assigned task]

What were you doing, before that thing showed up?

[soindebt]

[Since no one was in danger anymore there was no need for Ludger to stick around. He gives his god a look of "Why are you asking me that. It's the same reason you're here."]

Cleaning.

[cloak]

[Roxas glances left, then right. Eventually, he looks over his shoulder. This place is such a mess, he can't tell what Ludger was up to before he was stuck dealing with biting pottery]

...Where?

[soindebt]

[Ludger points at the now locked door. He was almost done, too!.... His cleaning supplies are in there.

He looks rather distraught about this. Those were good cleaning supplies!]

[cloak]

[Roxas watches the door in thoughtful silence for a few moments, considering that]

...I can freeze it in place, if you want to finish up.

[Because leaving Ludger distraught is simply unacceptable]

[soindebt]

[Well, all he really needs is one thing.]

Please?

[While Ludger's in there he may as well finish the small area he had left to do anyways. Such a nice god to consider that.]

[cloak]

[It's too polite, Roxas thinks to say, but he simply shakes his head and catches Ludger's sleeve. In the next moment, they're inside the room, and he's already called a Keyblade to point it at the offending pottery.

A blizzard spell is sufficient to freeze it in place, ice forming a crystalline shell around it]

That'll hold for a while.

[It's good Roxas can use freezing magic. Ludger isn't sure how to use his own ability, and it might not work the same way.

As grateful as he feels to his god, cleaning must happen. Which does not take all too long. Pretty much dusting and cleaning the floor. When it's done, he looks over at Roxas, looking very pleased with himself.]

[cloak]

[He reaches up and pats Ludger's head gently]

Good work.

[And efficient at that. Roxas has been eyeing the pot-creature, but it hasn't thawed enough to break free just yet. It will in time, but this means it doesn't have to be frozen anew.

With that, he catches the man's sleeve again and they wink out of the room, returned to the hall in the next instant]

Where to next?

[... Ludger now feels like a pet that did well in its masters eyes.

Awkward.

He's not one to complain, and certainly not when they leave the room. Ludger debates this. He's cleaned a lot of rooms and temples today, and his hands were getting sore.]

Home. I'm done.

[cloak]

[If only he knew that headpats were the only affectionate gesture Roxas is confident he does right... Reserved mostly for comforting or reassurance of course.

He nods in response to Ludger's answer, keeping hold of his sleeve]

Okay. May will be happy to see you.

[Home again, home again go collect more cats Ludger]

Ludger has done way too much cleaning today. Maybe he can tech cats to clean.]
