Summary: The Heavens don't like things being cluttered, so it's time to clean up a little bit.







Main Hall

While the main hall of the Heavens seems spotlessly clean at all times, that's not the case at all. In fact, it's been at least a decade since the last time they actually cleaned everything out properly. There are a lot of hidden closets and back rooms that have layers of dust and dozens of boxes filled with nothing but junk. Who knows, though! You might find something interesting and useful in there along with all the garbage.

Suprises

Unfortunately, some of the older temples on the Far Shore seem to have some interesting surprises tucked away, ranging from cursed artifacts all the way to magical creatures locked up in long-forgotten rooms. You are free to be creative with this as a way to get your characters into trouble while cleaning.

Complimentary Dinner

After all of your hard work, you deserve to have some tasty food and refreshing beverages. So the Heavens have provided that for you, so that you can wind down after a long day. It's not as fancy as the banquets they often put on, but there is a nice array of food and drinks for everyone to enjoy.

Counselling

As usual, there is a white-robed shinki bearing the gold chrysanthemum of Amaterasu sitting at a table in the Main Hall. There is a small sign that denotes her as the counselling shinki. Anyone is welcome to approach her, and she will smile serenely at anyone passing by as well.

[ Kenren sees the ash and the dust, but he won't comment on it until it starts becoming a serious issue. ]

We can get beer anytime. This? Not so much.

Besides, there's stuff I wanna talk about with you.

[ Which... might not be such a good idea while they're here of all places, but hey. ]

[ His shoes will eventually run out of dust. His cigarettes will never run out of ash. Because when he gets to that point? He's leaving to buy more cigarettes. So Kenren's got, oh... about two hours, give or take? ]

Whatever you have to say to me would sound better if I had a beer. [ --he whines, but if Kenren's got shit to talk to him about, then fine. He'll tag along. He might even sweep something, if he has to. Maybe. ] So what's this? [ What's he been dragged out for that's so important? It can't be just to scrub the place down. ]

[ Two hours is perfectly doable. And if he needs more time, he'll sacrifice his own cigarettes for the cause. But first, he'd like a bit of privacy. ]

There, there, I promise this won't kill you. [ He gestures with his arms. ] Pick a room, any room! [ And they just so happen to be standing in the middle of a corridor whose walls are covered in plain-looking doors, so Gojyo should have plenty of options. ]

[ For real? For real, Kenren? Dude's as bad as Hakkai sometimes. (And that's a thought he's never going to think ever again, thankyouverymuch.) ]

If it does kill me, I'm gonna haunt you for this. [ The nearest door is the least effort! And it reveals... a long dark corridor, completely coated in thick grey webs.

That really doesn't look promising.

Gojyo stands to the side, and gestures into the room. ] After you.

[ Kenren tilts his head, assessing the newly discovered corridor. It's... well, it's a little bit more than he was willing to work on right now, but he's not going to back away now.

He lets out a resigned sigh and steps in, holding the broom out in front of him and brandishing it left and right to get rid of the impending cobwebs. ]

You know, I'm perfectly fine with this kind of work, but shit like this does make you wonder what kind of filthy gods we're living among now, doesn't it?

Close the door behind you.

Close the...? [ That's a really bad idea okay, just look at all these cobwebs! What if the thing that made them is still in here?

Gojyo obeys, but with obvious hesitance, and you'd best be damn sure that he finds the light switch first. ]

Okay, it's just us and the giant spiders. [ He halfheartedly pokes his broom at the nearest cobweb, almost managing to clear a whole two square inches. ] What do you need to talk about that's so secret?

[ If the thing is still in here then we'll get rid of it too, that's how cleaning works, right??? ]

Your dragon and all the other "gifts" people have been getting with no explanation. You noticed, didn't you?

[ It had been all over the network, after all. ]

[ Gojyo wouldn't know: he doesn't do cleaning okay. ]

He's Hakkai's dragon, but yeah. Kinda hard to miss it. [ It seems like a cruel trick to play, giving people back their pets when they didn't even remember them, but he can't really complain too much about Jeep's return. ] Little shit never liked me very much.

[ Kenren opens his mouth, ready to point out the fact that the "pets" weren't the only thing people had received, but then Gojyo says the dragon never liked him very much.

He closes his mouth and hangs his head forward, using the broom as a crutch.

There's two options here: One, to continue aggressively denying the fact that the little dragon is the reincarnation of his former superior, because honestly that's just silly, there's no reason to assume that. And two, to dig further until he finds irrefutable proof that "Jeep" ("the jeep"?) is, in fact, not Goujun. ]

So.

Hakkai's dragon.

That means he likes Hakkai, right?

[ In the end, his brain doesn't seem to be feeling very cooperative towards either option. Oh, well. ]

[ Okay, mirror-face, why is that weird? Don't try to hide anything from Gojyo, okay. He knows that face.

...He doesn't actually know that face, no, he in fact spends as little time as possible looking at that face, but he knows the feelings behind that face, and damn if his poker face is as terrible as Kenren's it's a wonder he ever bluffed a single hand. ]

Yeah, he likes Hakkai. He likes Hakkai, likes Goku, doesn't really give a shit about Sanzo, and when I still took 'em off to sleep he used to shit in my shoes. ...What of it?

Nothing! Nothing. I just got derailed for a second.

[ Gojyo's on to him and they both know now, so it's a matter of seeing if he's willing to let Kenren off the hook or... not. ]

Anyway, I wasn't talking about pets only. [ Look! There's a convenient distraction and everything! ]

[erogappa]

[ So does Kenren know something about Jeep? Or does, like, Tenpou have a mean cat or something and Kenre's just being a dick about it?

All things are possible. Gojyo shrugs it off. ]

What else...? [ His voice trails off as he remembers the girl on the network (who he was supposed to meet, but then there were ayakashi on the way. It was a whole big thing. ] There was somebody talking about remembering stuff. Is that what you mean?

[ If only it were a mean cat. ]

Yeah, that's it. I mean, she didn't explicitly say it, but it was pretty obvious, right?

Doesn't all that go against everything this place stands for? What with keeping shinki amnesiac and all.

[ As he speaks, a tiny spider starts descending from the ceiling to land on his shoulder. Kenren glares at it, unimpressed, and flicks it off. ]
