Summary: The Heavens don't like things being cluttered, so it's time to clean up a little bit.







Main Hall

While the main hall of the Heavens seems spotlessly clean at all times, that's not the case at all. In fact, it's been at least a decade since the last time they actually cleaned everything out properly. There are a lot of hidden closets and back rooms that have layers of dust and dozens of boxes filled with nothing but junk. Who knows, though! You might find something interesting and useful in there along with all the garbage.

Suprises

Unfortunately, some of the older temples on the Far Shore seem to have some interesting surprises tucked away, ranging from cursed artifacts all the way to magical creatures locked up in long-forgotten rooms. You are free to be creative with this as a way to get your characters into trouble while cleaning.

Complimentary Dinner

After all of your hard work, you deserve to have some tasty food and refreshing beverages. So the Heavens have provided that for you, so that you can wind down after a long day. It's not as fancy as the banquets they often put on, but there is a nice array of food and drinks for everyone to enjoy.

Counselling

As usual, there is a white-robed shinki bearing the gold chrysanthemum of Amaterasu sitting at a table in the Main Hall. There is a small sign that denotes her as the counselling shinki. Anyone is welcome to approach her, and she will smile serenely at anyone passing by as well.

...Your hair is so beautiful, too. I'm lucky if I can get my hair into a braid! [ That's a hyperbole, but hopefully this stranger gets the point. Sanae feels awful.]

That won't be necessary. It was an accident.

[Forrest sighs, finishing up with cleaning himself off. He reaches out to give the handkerchief back, looking somewhat awkward. It's pretty much soaked with whatever that slime was.]

[ She'll just.... gingerly take it, conjure up a spout of water to wash the smile off. ] Hopefully, that slime wasn't cursed and you won't suddenly get boils all over you...

[ Probably not the best thing to say, and she realizes this just one awkward pause later. ] ---I mean, I'm sure you'll be fiiiiiine.

...Boils?

[His face goes completely white.]

You don't think that's going to happen, do you?

[ Herp. ] ......N-no.

I mean.

Maybe whoever stored this slime just likes slime! And not cursed slime! [ Making it worse x10 ]

Let's... talk about something other than slime.

[Before Forrest just passes right out. He's already looking incredibly pale.]

[ ....Right.

A cough.

What would this young lady like to talk about? She seems fashionable enough, so-- ] Your... clothes are very cute, if it means anything. Have you been to... Harujuku yet? Or Shibuya? Or have seen what fashion is like here?

Harajuku? Shibuya? No, I haven't. Are there a lot of clothing vendors there?

Oh, they're shopping districts in Tokyo! I actually haven't been, but... seeing as how fashionable you are [ Sans slime. ] I was wondering if you knew about them!

Everyone who has the cutest clothes goes shopping there! [ She'd love to go! Now that she's old enough. Last time she was in modern day Tokyo, she was only 13? 14? Now she's 22 basically. ]

I haven't spent much time in Tokyo since coming here. I should make some time to visit there.

Oh-- yes, of course. [ Hm. ] I shouldn't keep you from a bath, I'll take care of cleaning up the rest of this place, alright?

Yes, I should probably go before this soaks in.

[He sighs, but retains his smile all the same.]

Oh! Yes. My name is Forrest, by the way. It's been nice meeting you.

Sanae. Sanae Kochiya. [ She smiles, although again it's apologetic. She feels awful, truly! ] Just-- let me know where you live! I'll buy something cute for you, okay?

Lakshmi's temple, on the Far Shore. It's large and made of gold. I don't think you'll have much trouble finding it.

[Also, how long after he leaves will it take Sanae to realize that Forrest is a boy's name and she was talking to a pretty dude this whole time?]
