What: Spring cleaning

Summary: The Heavens don't like things being cluttered, so it's time to clean up a little bit.







Main Hall

While the main hall of the Heavens seems spotlessly clean at all times, that's not the case at all. In fact, it's been at least a decade since the last time they actually cleaned everything out properly. There are a lot of hidden closets and back rooms that have layers of dust and dozens of boxes filled with nothing but junk. Who knows, though! You might find something interesting and useful in there along with all the garbage.

Suprises

Unfortunately, some of the older temples on the Far Shore seem to have some interesting surprises tucked away, ranging from cursed artifacts all the way to magical creatures locked up in long-forgotten rooms. You are free to be creative with this as a way to get your characters into trouble while cleaning.

Complimentary Dinner

After all of your hard work, you deserve to have some tasty food and refreshing beverages. So the Heavens have provided that for you, so that you can wind down after a long day. It's not as fancy as the banquets they often put on, but there is a nice array of food and drinks for everyone to enjoy.

Counselling

As usual, there is a white-robed shinki bearing the gold chrysanthemum of Amaterasu sitting at a table in the Main Hall. There is a small sign that denotes her as the counselling shinki. Anyone is welcome to approach her, and she will smile serenely at anyone passing by as well.

[Seriously. Something is trying to kill your god and he might need something more than his Keyblades to fight it. Unless you want a dead god!]

[Isn't it lucky he was close by?

But... for a short second, he just looks kind of dumbfounded, and points to himself curiously as if there would possibly be some other Raichi Roxas was talking to??? Fortunately, he catches on shortly after that, and runs in to help!]

I can... get the door! [He's strong enough to help keep it closed, probably! As if the other option on how to help has completely slipped past him! Truly incredible.]

[.... yup. This is what Roxas gets. Who does this guy remind Roxas off? Doesn't matter at this moment. Raichi just gets a blank stare.

Really?]

Just get over here! Now!

[Come over here so you can beat this thing together!] I need you to change!

[battered]

[He tries... he really does.]

Oh! [That makes way more sense...! To be fair, he's got no idea what's behind that door. Some kind of ayakashi that snuck into the Heavens? A monster? A large dog?? It's a total mystery! But if Roxas thinks they should be prepared to fight, then,] I'll change! Let's go!

[It's up to you to call on him, but at least he's prepared for it.]

[Roxas waits till Raichi is close enough. Using the door as a spring board, he closes the distance with a jump.

Great. What was the name again? Oh!]

Kyouki!

[This is a first for him. Hopefully it's actually a weapon!]

[battered]

[No sooner is the name spoken than Raichi's human form dissipates in a glow of light, which then zips over to Roxas' hand and reforms into something that is, indeed, useful for a weapon.

You might wanna hold on tight, though, the wooden bat that's left behind is awfully heavy. Heavier than a normal bat, and certainly heavier than a struggle bat. But, hopefully, this should be more than enough to defend themselves.]

[Of course it's a baseball bat. Roxas is rather surprised by the weight. That thought quickly goes out the window as the door is destroyed and something that looks awfully like a manticore steps out.

At the moment it's hard for Roxas to care or wonder why that beast is in here. All he really, really wants to do is just destroy.

He attacks the beast with a fury even greater than what he can normally manage. The creature is stunned momentarily as the small kid lets out a rather loud cry as he manages his first hit. The fight itself didn't last more than a few minutes as Roxas makes short work of his enemy. The manticore wasn't the only casualty of the fight, chunks of wall, ceiling, and floor left with deep gouges.

Roxas look around for something else to fight. He found it with a shadow dark enough to mistake for an enemy, and using his enhanced speed, he attacks. The bat hits the wall with enough force to knock Roxas back and onto the floor. When he hits the ground, his hand lets go of the bat, the berserk feeling leaving him. Breathing hard, he stares at the ceiling.]

W-What...?

[Of course it is.

As soon as his sights are set on the beast, Roxas is likely to feel a strong presence, either his own inner voice or Raichi's, maybe some mixture of both? It's not entirely clear. What is obvious is what it's after.

"Smash it away! I wanna SMASH IT AWAY!"

It's a persistent urge, and coupled with the natural ability of the vessel, well... the creature is definitely made short work of. As well as a good portion of the room. And it just doesn't stop there, does it?]

[battered]

[Thank goodness for the sturdiness of the wall behind that shadow, and as soon as the bat rolls out of Roxas' grip, everything gains a sense of... calmness. The weapon remains on the floor, quietly, for a few moments, before shifting back into Raichi's form.]

Wh-... [He's a little dazed from that himself, but he recollects fairly quickly.] Whoa! That was... Kahaha! [That particular bark of laughter, while usually kind of difficult to discern, was definitely one borne of nervousness. Neat.]

.... that was... intense.

[Terrifying, too. At this very moment Roxas is very glad that no one else was around. That could have ended in a disaster. He does wince when he sits up, feeling pain all over.]

O-Ow... I think it hit me a few times. [He sighs and summons a Keyblade, casting Cure on both him and Raichi.] I gotta get some armor if we're gonna do that again.

[battered]

[How convenient healing magic is. Raichi sort of shakes his head a little, as if that'll clear up the last of that dazed feeling.]

I guess? [Probably? A good idea? But he's imaging like a whole suit of armor. With a baseball bat for a weapon. That would be ridiculous.

But... at least they got rid of that thing that broke down that door. At whatever expense it might have been? Hopefully they don't get stuck with some kind of bill from the Heavens, yikes...] What was that thing? [Even if it was something he'd possibly seen in his life, it's nothing that even looks remotely familiar now.

I mean that might be because of the unfortunate end it met leaving it not really looking like it should, but even before that.]

[No, more like elbow and knee pads. A hoodie. That's... armor, right?]

I think it's a manticore. Or something like it. Read about it in a book once.

[Back when he was trying to figure out what ate him. Roxas never did find anything close to it. Maybe because he barely had time to register what attacked.]

[It's practical for the kind of fighting you'd to with a bat! But definitely what springs to mind first when thinking of 'armor'.]

Manticore. [He repeats the word, leaning in a bit closer to their defeated enemy, as if to try and maybe spark a memory. Does he know what a manticore is? Nope. Not in this life. Not the previous one either.] Looks scary! [Said, without a trace of fright in his voice, as he hovers a little closer. God.]

[Practicality can save lives?]

The tails supposed to be poisonous... but I kind of want to take it home. Like a trophy! Greek heroes used to take pieces of something of their enemies all the time to show off.

[Since he's a Greek goddess, why the heck not do the same?]

[Being sensible can be lifesaving! Good thing at least 1/2 of this pair is capable of it!]

Really? [Spoken with a definite edge of interest and excitement to his tone.] That would be really cool! Like, we beat this! Don't mess with us! Kahaha!!

[Well, he's not wrong, is he?]

[Unless tempers are lost. THEN NO ONE IS SENSIBLE!]

Right. Just gotta be careful about it. [Going to use his Keyblade he totally just summoned to cut it off now.]

[What a disaster that would be!]

Careful...! [He's watching this pretty closely, honestly fascinated by it all. The Keyblade doesn't look particularly sharp, but if it does the trick, then it does the trick...!] Ahh, this is gonna be really cool, isn't it?

[A super cool trophy!]

[Doesn't look sharp but it's sharp. Now they have a trophy!]

I know we have some glass cases so we're set. [Time to take his sweater off and wrapping it in there.] Okay! We're good!

Okay!

[And, here, he casts a quick look back to the room. It's... it's in a pretty awful state, isn't it? And they are here to be cleaning, so shouldn't they take care of this first?

Someone will take care of it sooner or later.]

Let's - get out of here! [Before someone finds it and makes them clean up]

[That would be the best idea.]

Yeah! Come on!

[And Roxas is off, putting as much distance between himself and the room as he can. Which... sorry, Raichi, he's using his diving super speed for that.]

[Okay he's pretty speedy but not that speedy!!]

Whoa-!!

[He'll do his best to keep up! It is a futile effort isn't it]
