Summary: The Heavens don't like things being cluttered, so it's time to clean up a little bit.







Main Hall

While the main hall of the Heavens seems spotlessly clean at all times, that's not the case at all. In fact, it's been at least a decade since the last time they actually cleaned everything out properly. There are a lot of hidden closets and back rooms that have layers of dust and dozens of boxes filled with nothing but junk. Who knows, though! You might find something interesting and useful in there along with all the garbage.

Suprises

Unfortunately, some of the older temples on the Far Shore seem to have some interesting surprises tucked away, ranging from cursed artifacts all the way to magical creatures locked up in long-forgotten rooms. You are free to be creative with this as a way to get your characters into trouble while cleaning.

Complimentary Dinner

After all of your hard work, you deserve to have some tasty food and refreshing beverages. So the Heavens have provided that for you, so that you can wind down after a long day. It's not as fancy as the banquets they often put on, but there is a nice array of food and drinks for everyone to enjoy.

Counselling

As usual, there is a white-robed shinki bearing the gold chrysanthemum of Amaterasu sitting at a table in the Main Hall. There is a small sign that denotes her as the counselling shinki. Anyone is welcome to approach her, and she will smile serenely at anyone passing by as well.

[Haha. That reaction didn't help him much, but it was sure amusing. It was just a shame that it only lasted until he saw the pot moving around. Since Ross had no idea about the previous incident that almost resulted in Ludger losing a hand, he probably wasn't as concerned as he should have been.]

Did you put something in that pot?

[He would much rather have that be the reason instead of say...an ayakashi or something similar.]

[He shakes his head. Ludger wouldn't harm anyone like that!]

It's possessed!

[As soon as that's said, the pot makes a angry rattling noise when it falls over. The teeth shift to grip the ground so it can drag itself over to the two men now. Much faster than wobbling.]

[Whoa. Seeing a pot with teeth was a little alarming. ...That being said, he did get a twisted sort of amusement out of seeing the angry rattling and the sheer amount of effort being displayed.]

Even if it is possessed, we're fine as long as it can't get over here.

[To demonstrate his point, Ross snapped his fingers and teleported the pot farther away into the room.]

[That is a pretty useful ability. The pot doesn't not seem happy as it chatters even louder at them. It's not going to give up! Once again it's trying its best to come at them.

Ludger sighs and lets his shoulders drop. It's not like he's capable of sealing or purifying this angry pot.]

[For just a second, Ross was tempted to let the pot come a little closer this time. Everyone had quirks that they found endearing, and for Ross seeing that pot try so hard was it.]

If we lead it to someone who could do something about this, it'd probably follow us the whole way.

[soindebt]

[..... as messed up as this could possibly be, especially since this pot might figure out how to move faster, what other choice do they have? Ludger would try and pick it up, but who knows if that thing has more teeth somewhere else on its body.]

Right. Let's go.

[shiitan]

[Off he went! He did look back every so often to make sure that the pot wasn't wandering away, though.]

Are you sure it's possessed and not a weird looking ayakashi? [Because, well, if the pot was an ayakashi, it would be a lot easier to deal with.]

[soindebt]

[That pot is rather intent on coming after these two.

Ludger's thought about that. If it was an ayakashi, his god wasn't here to get rid of it. So that'd mean finding one.]

We could check., but it might bite.

[shiitan]

It's okay. If you get bitten I can heal the injury, so don't give up.

[Yup, he just pinned that task on you, Ludger.]

[Irritation is clear on his face. But Ludger will be brave.

The pot chatters like crazy when Ludger gets near, snapping the lid at him. He hesitates before grabbing the pot around the middle and turning it upside down. The kid clatters to the ground and whatever was inside scoots into the belly of the pot.]

[shiitan]

[Despite his previous flippant words, Ross was watching carefully just in case something did happen. From the looks of it, the little pot had more bark than bite, so he wasn't that concerned, but still.]

Looks like it doesn't want to come out. [He began to tap at the pot in an attempt to shake whatever was inside loose.]

[Ludger sighs and lifts up enough to try and take a peek.

BIG MISTAKE

He drops the pot after a clawed... something darts out. The pot shatters and whatever was in it hurriedly takes off into the room it had been in. It looked like some very twisted version of a hermit crab.]

Monster?

[shiitan]

Aaaaah, you went and broke the monster's house. How terrible.

[He was quite aware that Ludger probably hadn't done that on purpose, but that did little to change the slightly insincere chastising from him.]

I'll go follow it and make sure it doesn't try to bite anyone else.

[soindebt]

[Geez. Don't make him feel worse about it.

Ludger nods with a defeated sigh as he starts cleaning up the pot shards. No need for someone to step on them. Blood was a lot harder to clean than people thought, and then there's the injury part of it.

Go chase the monster all you want.]

[shiitan]

[But getting on other people's nerves like that was one of his special talents!

Well, that aside, he turned around and went to go catch the little monster. Eventually he would come back, but he now had a wicker basket that he was holding closed. Not to mention that said basket was wiggling quite a bit, as if something was struggling to get out.]

I'm going to take this guy back with me. [...What.]

[At leas the pot shards are all in a bag and ready to be disposed of.

Except now he is REALLY questioning this guy. Ludger just..... stares......

Yup. Nope. This is not happening. Is it?]

[shiitan]

[Ross made no effort to clarify that it was a joke or anything similar, so yup. This was really happening. He was seriously going to take the little hermit crab monster back to Inari's temple.]

No objections? Alright, I'm going then.

[Now he was just taking advantage of Ludger's quiet nature.]

[O-Okay... You do you? Ludger is not going to... object... just feel bad for whatever god is this guys boss. Unless this guy is the boss. And then he'll just feel even more confused.]
